Foreign. Hey there. Hey there. What's up folks? It's your boy, Mark Evans, DM there. Happy Sunday evening. 9:25pm on Sunday. Hanging out here, just getting back to Cleveland, Ohio. Had some big meetings today and actually just left my family. I was with my parents over the weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and what's going on? What's up? High five. Virtual high five. Thank you for the hearts. I'm sitting here, just got back actually from a meeting, started off at 6pm it was actually a three hour meeting with the 20 billion dollar guy. He, his family actually since the 1970s have one of the largest, actually the largest company in, in its space over $20 billion in internal assets that they manage and handle. Why that's important is there's a lot of great relationships that exist out there and I just kind of want to share a couple things with you as we're sitting there. We have dinner, just a small casual place, talking about stuff. The main thing we're talking about is about charity, about giving back, how to get a return on investment, ROI on giving. And it's not just money, but how to get a lifetime roi. I know I always talk a lot about making a lot of money and all that stuff as you're getting into the game and making money in the real estate business. But the ROI of giving to human life and the ROI to giving to another person is unmeasurable, it's massive, it's infinite. And a lot of times people think it's about money, make money, make money, make money, make money, which is awesome. But there is a point in your career, in your business and in your life that giving back money, giving back your skill sets maybe and or both to allow you to go to the next step. What's cool about it is his Family's donated a 16 acre charity, 16 acres, six years ago to the Boys and Girls Club in his market. And literally millions of dollars are being poured into it to help children of all levels, of all ages, of all types of backgrounds to come into an environment that's safe, that they can mirror other folks to another level. You see, let's be honest, at the end of the day, making money is awesome and everything, but what we do with it is really what it's all about. To me it's about legacy, about leaving more, about doing more, about not trying to just make money to make money, but to do it at another level where that we can take that money and use it for good causes. As I'm sitting here like I'm Always learning how to generate more revenue, how to make the business smoother, how to get more better help and better team people on the team. And at the end of the day, we want to keep doing more. And it's not. Again, back to that. It's not just to make money. What I'm very passionate about is the charity side. I've given away over eight houses to homeless families, from to homeless veterans, to female veterans, to homeless people, transition housing, people that hit hard times, that couldn't get back on track. And as well, the one we just gave recently is to female specific alcoholism, females that are in rough shape, that are getting out of rough shape to get back on the streets. I believe we all have opportunities. And at the end of the day, the conversation him and I are having while he's eating a steak and I'm eating chicken is. We're talking, you know, face to face about. We all have problems, but 90% of what happens to your problems in your life come from how you react to them, how you see them. See, do you see that there's. Everybody has these issues. We all have problems, but what you do with them. And again, I'll keep it on simple terms, but when you're. Mark. Ever since I started tithing, I've seen the biggest jump in my success, man. Thank you. Awesome, buddy. It's not just about tithing too, right? It's about giving. I think what's great about tithing or in general giving is you open your brain up to an abundance mentality. It just allows you to accept greatness. Allow. Allow yourself to accept great things that happen to yourself and to others. See, recently, I don't want to share the name or anything, but someone very ultra close to me. Ultra, ultra close. Like super, super close. I bought them a house. I redone it for them. I paid for everything to have that happen to give them a safe, secure place, not for them as well as their children. And when I go there and I saw the house was in shambles on the exterior, I get upset because it shares with me disrespect and just unappreciative. And then what I did is I hired some guy for $300 to go over there and totally clean the yard up. Not everybody. And again, I'm not saying you have to be clean or anything like that, but my head is. That is a problem. It's dirty. But how do we fix it? Not sit on it and look at it and talk about it, but how do we step up, pull up our boots and fix It I'll work side by side with anybody that's trying to fix themselves and more importantly, doing something about it. See, that's what I love about the Boys and Girls Clubs. I'm going to start getting more entrenched with that side. I love helping children. For the simple fact is children don't have a say so of this situation that they've been put into. Parents typically have obviously have made every decision, right or wrong, good or bad, positive or negative, amazing or not so amazing to be exactly with where they're at at this very moment. As you're watching this video, I don't know where you're at or your walk of life necessarily, but every decision you've made have brought you to this moment. I don't think things happen by accident. I think they happen because, you know, fate, whatever you want to call it, has brought you this segment. Good morning. It's not morning for me. It's 9:30 at night. But the reason I bring that up is because children don't necessarily have that. And I'm not angry, actually, I'm very happy. So again, if you're angry, maybe that's you. But at the end of the day, it's like, I'm passionate. You might be confusing passion with anger because that's you. That's not me. That's on you, by the way. I'm not angry. I'm very happy, actually. I'm very blessed to be able to do those things and more importantly, very inspired to want to do more. But for families and for people is that you just have to be able to like, grab them by the throat. Adults and they really have to be jolted hard to make change. You see, when certain people say, hey, that's purple, and they've been told it's purple for the last 40 years, it's very hard to have change until they have that recognition. But at the end of the day, children, if I can get a hold of them when they're like 3 years old, 6 years old, etc. We can share with them that there's positive out there. There's an abundance of resources of people, of money, of life, etc. Out there that's available to anybody and everybody. Hey, Mark, I'm a huge fan of your podcast. It truly made me think bigger about my life and business. Awesome. Thank you very much. I want to share with you guys on a consistent basis. Please retweet out the Periscope link here. However you do that. Again, I don't even know how you do It. But share. Share the heart, share the things. I'm just sharing with you. I sit down with a guy that his company manages the largest section in their industry, and he's allowed to do big things. The more money you make, the more you can do if you're a great person. And by donating the 16 acres, having 120 children, 130 children a day, coming through the community, having access to millions of dollars doesn't happen overnight. And I'm not saying it's where you even start. But one thing that's very important, as we're having these dinner conversations, and this is a great friend of mine, we sit down and we talk about how big it is, how much money we can raise to do more. Not how much money we can raise to line our pockets with money, but how much money we can raise to do more. And more importantly, you as an entrepreneur, it's not necessarily just money. I have to stress that, but we have vision. We have big thinking, picture stuff. More importantly, as leaders of entrepreneurs, you have implementation of your vision. To be able to sit in the room and watch the things that you've thought up late at night, early morning, or through the day. You've dreamed about it, you've thought about it, you've talked about it, you've shared with others. And then to be able to sit there and just see that moment come true and to be like, wow, if I can do that, what else can I do more of? Enjoy the moment, enjoy the experience. But it allows you to start thinking bigger, broader, more globally of how to grow your purpose, your legacy, your vision. There's no reason you can't have the hospital or the library or the children's association or the children's clubs or whatever to bear your name. And if you don't want your name on it or to bear your legacy, how cool would it be if you wake up 80 years from now? You might not wake up, but you'll be gone. But your children or your grandchildren or your great grandchildren wake up and there's still things carried on because you had vision, insight, and more importantly, implementation. You actually drove to a whole other level. I'm passionate about this. I'm serious about this. Everyone I hang out with is always looking to do more, to give back, to leave more to legacy. Use your voice. Use your purpose in life of why you're here, to do more, to impact more. It's not just about you and your family. Initially, that's okay. But as you start to build, like someone said earlier, I think Brian said something about tithing. Tithing is great, but start asking yourself how to do more. As Grant would always say, how do I. 10 times that or 100 times that. Giving houses away to me was a big deal. I started giving houses away in 2006. It was a massive deal. Buy a house, fully rehab it fully, furnish it down to the toothbrush, and hand the keys over to someone with 100%, free and clear. I've never asked them for a penny, ever. The reason I've been able to do that is because one, I had a vision. Two, I generated enough revenue to be able to do that. You have to have both, right? And. Or you could seek other people if you're good at fundraising and all that, which I'm not. I'm not good at it. That's why I just pay for it myself. And I do have a couple great supporters and donors of that, but the majority, I would say 95% of the money comes from me. I take my time, I take my energy, my team and all of us because it's important to me. The more money I make, the more I want to give back. The more I want to do, the more I want to make an impact. I can only have so many cool cars and cool houses and cool watches and crazy shirts like this, right? But it's neat to be able to do this, and I'm sharing this with you openly. On a Sunday at 9:40 at night, east coast time, of course, out here by Cleveland, Ohio, because I just had that sit down with my 20 billion dollar man and we're just having great conversations. See, I don't want to leave people worse off. I want to leave them better off. And I know you do too. Not just yourself, not just your family, but others. Picture this hello from Australia as well. Picture yourself from anywhere in the world. I don't care where you started from and where you high level or low level, it doesn't matter to me. Where it matters is where we're going and where we're going to depart from. I know for sure everyone listening to my voice has chosen a path to greatness, a path to a whole other level. I live in Palm Beach, Florida. Yes, six months and one day a year minimum. But there's so much out there, there's so much more to do. And when you think you're doing a lot, you could do 10 times more that a hundred times more than. And it's not just about doing one thing great, it's about becoming great at all aspects of your life. Family, faith, fitness, fun, and finances. Don't forget any of them. There's many levels inside those five Fs. A great mentor of mine, Kevin, always shares that I added fun because I like to have fun, too. But fun to me is not just about having fun, whatever that means. But fun to me is challenging myself sitting down and getting a huge book like this and reading it and challenging myself to do it in eight hours or less. I'm a terrible reader. I'm a slow reader. I don't. I barely retain any of it. I have to read it four times to get what I'm trying to, you know, understand the statement of the book. But again, make your goals so damn big that the obstacles seem irrelevant. They're a given. You're going to have obstacles, but how you react to them is how you. How you. What your outcome will be. If you're not doing enough deals, figure out how to do more deals. If you're doing more deals, figure out how to do more deals on top of your more deals. Not just to make money, but to become better, to become more efficient, to become more effective, become more profitable, to build more teams, to have more people working with you. Why? Because now you're bringing money and stimulating the economy. Not just your economy, but their economy and your local community. Real estate investing is not just about doing a deal. It's about putting deals together, bringing more income into the community, hiring people, you know, general contractors, specialized contractors from plumbing, electric, heating, carpeting, tiling, lawn care, etc. You have a massive voice, even in the beginning. One house. But buying one house, fixing it up. There's a lot of people's lives you're affecting. He's never going to be able to get bed. Welcome to my life. That's why I'm not in bed. This is what it's about. Sleep less. If you're not getting the goals you want, sleep less. Go to bed later, wake up earlier. It's sacrificing, if you want to call it that. I call it setting goals and getting to them. I don't care if you work one hour or 100 hours. If you have a goal and you're going there, make it happen. Rise and serve is great. As long as you understand the full picture. You can serve better when you're rising and serving yourself first. So many people are trying to serve others. My great friend Mike, if he's still here, he. He'd always say, save yourself before you save the world. Now, everything I'm saying here, I'm not saying I'm talking about doing a lot more to legacy building. But the only way to do that is to be able to save yourself, to build the financial wall around your family, to secure your future, to secure your tomorrow so you can have level headed thinking. It's okay to push, it's okay to work hard. But the problem is, and it's not even a problem, it's the reality that the reality. Most people are so consumed with their own lives that they forget to tell others. Give back at a much higher level to yourself first, to your family and to your friends and colleagues in this country. We're here. There's so much more opportunity that lies in front of you. Start thinking bigger. If you're doing two deals a month, ask yourself how to do 20 deals a month. If you're doing 20 deals a month, ask yourself how to do 200 deals a month. It's out there, it's available and it's being done before your eyes right now. It's happening right now. It just might not be happening in your world. And as that's going on, remember family, faith, fitness, finances and fun. Those five Fs need to be very visual, very in front of you 24, 7. If you let any one of those five slack, you can become better. Funding is irrelevant. Funding is out there, everywhere. Why? Family, Faith, Fitness and finances. Finances is in there. What you do with the finances, that could be a spider web of many things from proper debt, allocation of debt to allocation of assets, to life insurance policies, to all types of cool stuff that you can do. And as you become a better person in business and for yourself, that's what family is. Family to me is friends. If you're not part of my family friends list, you're nothing. Do I deal with commercial? Yes, absolutely. I deal with deals, commercial, residential businesses, etc. A deal is a deal. If I'm passionate about it and it fits with what I'm great at, I can do that. I'm great at deal making. That's why. Mark Evans, DM dealmaker right there behind you. Deal maker right there. I'm great at deal making. Why? Because I listen. I understand what they're seeking. Not every deal is a deal. Not every opportunity is a deal. By the way, if you have something you want to present to me, I would love to look at it, big or small. My email is mark@markevansdm.com again markevansdm.com I sincerely hope you do email me. And at the end of the day it's not how many I have working for me or how many you have working for you. It's not even about working. It's about sharing your vision with a lot of people. A lot of people are working with me on my vision and I pay a lot of people to help me make the vision clearer, tell me, implement the vision. I'm not great at everything. I'm very, I'm good, actually only one or two good. I'm amazing at only one or two amazing things. Deal making and sharing a big vision, implementing the day to day, it's not my strong point. Implementing people and all that. Right? Dm, I'm having trouble scaling. Any advice? I'm hiring another admin starting tomorrow. I do have great advice on this. If you're having trouble scaling, hiring more people will not help you. It actually will hurt you unless you have a very ultra clear specific task that's measurable to see if they're doing the good thing or a wrong thing or the bad thing, etc. Don't hire anybody until you have a very clear and concise plan. My question to you would be, how many deals a month are you doing right now? How many deals a month do you want to do in the next 90 days per month? What's my vision? That's a very broad question, right? I have visions in family, faith, fitness, finances and fun. Right now I'm about to be a father for the first time in the next four weeks. The set date is August 2nd for my first child. So that vision is my first and foremost vision is with my family. Right. Thank you. My family is my first and foremost vision at this moment, at this very second. Right. I think about it, I want to have my son or daughter. We don't know what it is, but I want to have my son or daughter. I want to make sure that they're taken care of. So as I'm increasing to this next level in my life, this next step, if you will, you have to start looking at your insurance policies, your assets, your legacy. Because now it's not just my wife and I and my parents and my sisters and my nieces. Now it's my son or daughter, whichever it's going to be. I don't know. I'm going to find out when the baby pops out, or I shouldn't say pops out is birthed. But at the end of the day for me, I'm looking at how do I protect them, not how do I give them entitlement mentality. Right? I'm not looking to give them entitlement Mentality, I want to be able to share them with them. My vision, my goals, where dad came from, where mom came from. I was never born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I was born with great parents that allowed me to do and follow my passion. I never went to college, barely graduated high school, but I was never intended to go to school. That's not what I am, that's not who I am. I, my parents never looked down on that. They actually supported it. They supported me because they trusted that they raised me proper to allow me to be a thinker, to know if it's right or wrong, to know the difference from right or wrong as well. So my vision with my child is that I have an amazing healthy child first and foremost, and my wife is healthy. And secondly, I wanted to be the youngest real estate investor ever born, working on a way to expedite getting a Social Security. If anybody watching me can help me do that, I'd love to hear it. The fastest I've seen I've been able to do it is about three weeks and that's if I hand deliver everything, which I will do. So my child is going to be one of the first, if not the first investor ever, the youngest investor in the world through a self directed Roth ira. So by the time they're birthed within three weeks and he or she is going to own real estate within their first month of being born. To me, that's my vision, that's a gift that I have specialized knowledge and I know how to do. For the last 19 years I've learned all this. I'm going to hand them the keys and allow them to do as if they want what they want with that and take it to the next level as they get older. That's not an entitlement thing, that's a gift to give them a hand up, not a handout. I will share with them, I will push them. They're going to cry, I'm going to cry. I'm going to allow them to elevate their level of thinking. I want them to be smarter than me, I want them to be better looking than me. It's going to be kind of tough on that one. But I want them to be healthier than me, I want them to be better, I want them to do more, to give more, to be more, to share more and to open up and carry on the legacy to another level. It's easier to have the second level of financial wealth carried on one generation deep. It's really tough or more tough. The second level of generation and then the third generation, I think 90 something percent of the wealth gets lost typically in the third generation. So my vision, awesome. You want to change your grandkids lives, that's great. I want to change my nieces lives. One thing, there's great things I'm sharing, I'm going to start sharing with you what I've done, how to do that with my nieces. And I'm working on that daily. And I just learned something from my $20 billion buddy today about it. Some cool stuff. I'll share with that. Not here tonight, but soon. Bring it up next time just to remind me, but my goal and my vision for these children is that they can go out. And as I'm building my vision for my financial wall legacy long term, and I'm talking like 400 years from now, what does that look like? And then backing it down into chunk size pieces. Take care of today, take care of next year, next month, you know, next quarter, quarter century, etc. But building these out, this is how the Rockefellers, you know, these are how these, you know, people have done it at a whole nother level. And as you surround yourself around great people, one thing I found out, people that have money and they're great people, they share openly. They share openly. Pay for people's time, Be wise of their time. Don't waste it with questions. Just ask questions. Ask them specific, hardcore questions. Things that you thought about, things that you've been pondering for years, maybe lifetime. And more importantly, take that information that they share with you and implement it. Implement it and deploy. The biggest gift to a mentor is not just the money you're giving them, that's just kind of sharing, hey, I care about your time. Here's 10 grand or 5 grand or whatever you pay them. But more importantly, to watch you and understand that only a small, very, very small percentage of the people that pay for help ever do anything with it. So don't be that person that pays for it and gets excited and then doesn't do anything with it. Pay for it, learn, deploy and share your results. It's the best gift you could ever, ever, ever, ever give to your mentor. Think of it as your child. If your child came to you and said, mommy or daddy, please teach me how to play baseball or softball and you teach them and they do nothing with it, you feel like you've wasted your time, right? Awesome. Play for the Yankees, do it. But with these kind of things, having realistic goals is important, right? Paying attention, learning from this again, guys and gals, I'm just sharing here with you real quick about the 20 billion dollar meeting I just had. Actually, it's more than that. It's almost 30 billion. How do you feel about an investor getting a broker's license? I have no feelings about it, but I'm an investor business owner and I don't have a broker's license. I'm not saying you should or shouldn't, but I think you should be one or the other. And I think if you're a broker already and you're trying to become an investor, that might be an advantage and it might be not an advantage depending on your strategy. And secondly, if you're not a broker yet, that requires a whole other set of skills, a whole other set, like totally different world. Maybe partner with a broker, maybe share with them, something like that. So I'm not here to share all that today. I just wanted to come to you guys live because today in my heart, passionately, just great things are happening. But you gotta allow it to happen and don't stop it when it starts. So many people say yes and then they pull back, say yes and go forward. That's where real magic happens. Fear of success is ultra real. I talk to people every day that say I want to quit my job and I give them a plan to quit their job and they freeze up. It's not about that, it's about moving forward. It's about staying progressive and knowing and believing that you're more important than doing what you're doing today. If you're in that position right now, like you're stuck, right? Thank you guys. Have a great night. I'm going to go hang out with my beautiful wife now and my soon to be baby and just enjoy the night. Keep up the great work guys. Thank you for the heart and share the periscope link here. Bye bye.
