Restructuring Your Business to Fit Your Ideal Lifestyle

Two people talk about redesigning a business around the life you actually want instead of chasing growth for its own sake. They weigh hiring employees against virtual assistants, why infrastructure matters more than you think, and how the right team structure lets you scale without burning out.

The goal is, I think the biggest thing I keep thinking about because I got two guys, I got one today, one tomorrow, is we need to stop talking about million dollar problems, start talking about billion dollar problems. We have a lot of cool stuff to cover and really this is about connecting and networking. It's not about me or you, it's about us. Right together, collectively. So what's the biggest thing holding you back? What's that one thing? I can improve a hundred things. What's the biggest. What's the connection you need that can like solve the problems that you're having today? And just talking about it and sharing it and going over, you know, how to grow and the goal is, I think the biggest thing I keep thinking about because I got two guys, I got one today and one tomorrow, is we need to stop talking about million dollar problems, start talking about billion dollar problems. We need to stop talking about like, you know, I need a players. Like, dude, I have so many a players, I don't know how I'm gonna pay all these fuckers. You know what I mean? How do we expand and grow, get more family time, get more money time and do bigger stuff.
So I don't really know. I mean, I'm just, you know, here, fly on the wall, see what it's all about. First event, so going to take it easy and super excited.
Well, what do you want? More time, more money? Both.
More. More passive income. I mean like the flipping business is fairly outsourced. So just diversify and be able to like have a business with less employees and kind of be more digital.
Why do you want less employees? You just want like employees?
Yeah, just the management side of it. And I think there's a lot of people in here making very good living just doing things at their lake house or at their beach house they don't need. They can do things digital and they don't need a huge massive team to do it.
So we're talking about lifestyle, right?
Yeah.
So one thing, like I used to go down this rabbit hole, like, I don't want employees because I hate employees.
Yeah.
The truth is I actually love employees. The right ones, right? And then I love the people that can manage them. But you, dude, you should see the messages I got going on some stuff we're doing with Jace. I sent out a video to the whole team with 22 people and like they're like. I mean, like, people are like saying really cool stuff, right? Like these are employees, if you will. I call them team members. But like, they're like, I would do anything. Tell me what I can do. I'm 100% there. Where does he need like, like back in the day, dude, Like, I'd see an employee. I'm like, oh, Jesus, here we go, here we go. What do they want from me? But like, they'll actually like, the right team will actually make you so much more money, you know. So I think it's a matter of the infrastructure and like our limiting beliefs about the team.
Team of VAs, then a team of like people that, you know, are like an acquisition manager that's like just trying to learn it to leave basically, you.
Know, Vas mean vagina animals. Or I can't hire Vas for me, cuz I'm like, yo, here's what I need. It's not like, what color green is that? Is that like Bubba green and blah blah. It's like, dude green.
Yeah.
Like, I can't be so specific with VA's. You have to be so specific. Not right or wrong. It's just, that's not how I function. I need people helping me get better, not me making them better, if that makes sense. Like, I don't want to be a dude. I'd rather pay you 100 grand a year to make me better than to figure out $7.22 and, well, no worse than I get for $7.13. Like, who cares at this point? Again, what we focus on is what grows. And that that grows massive anxiety for me.
And that.
