A first-person anecdote from a YouTube short (Mark Evans DM) describing the speaker’s memory of seeing what they perceived as the first rich person at a pizza shop in Columbus. The speaker recalls approaching a Ferrari 308 during their early teens (about 12–13), being inspired by shows like Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, and forming early aspirations to attain similar wealth.
Who was like the first rich person that you saw. You're like, I want to be like that guy. It was at a pizza shop here in Columbus. I don't know if you know those guys, but my dad was doing construction on that job over off of Bethel or Sawmill Road, and I hit a Ferrari 308 and I went out and talked to him. I was like, dude, what do you do? My dad's like, get in here. These guys are jerk. They got money. Who'd they rip off to get that again? That's just how he grew up. I went out and talked to him and he was like the coolest guy. And I was just like. And keep mine back then rich. To me, if you had something nice that I wanted, that meant you were rich to me. I didn't know the difference, but I was probably like 12 or 13. I was like, dude, I'm going to have this shit. But back then I watched Lifestyles and Rich and Famous. That was like my show, you know, I love.
