A short YouTube video (Mark Evans DM, uploaded Feb 9, 2023) where the speaker reflects on childhood aspirations of becoming wealthy and recounts early entrepreneurial behaviors — selling sister's toys and making bracelets to sell at recess — illustrating a long-standing desire to work hard and ‘be rich.’
What was the one thing when you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up? I just wanted to be rich. I knew I had to work hard. Yeah. And I wanted to be rich. But where I grew up, I saw my dad and him do structure. My whole life. I always knew because I was in elementary, I'd pray for rain because they don't go outside for recess. I would sell my sister's toys at recess, send their Barbie dolls and selling bracelets for a quarter like it was crazy. But I always knew I wanted to do something like that and just be around with people and grow. That's amazing.
