Short excerpt from a YouTube video titled "Unleash your unique power!" (Mark Evans DM). The speaker reflects on identifying and expanding one’s unique ability — describing their own as a "big picture" mindset that isn't afraid to take action. They note it took them about 15–16 years to discover this, and contrast this with team members who have "engineer style" structured mindsets that can both help and limit.
About 15–16 years.
Maybe you have a unique ability. You got to expand your unique ability around me. My unique ability is big picture, not afraid to take action. And we'll figure it out as we grow. By the way, that's a unique ability. Not everyone has that. I know because I see it every day. It took me a long time to discover this, by the way. 15, 16 years. And then we have the guys on the team that are engineer style mindsets. They're very structured. It's awesome. But it also holds them back. That's my unique ability. Seeing. Hey, you're good here. Not here.
