Short YouTube conversation between Beacon and another speaker about mindset and focus. Speakers contrast a guest’s confidence with the reality that success requires long-term effort ("24 years of effort") and advise narrowing attention from many simultaneous pursuits ("chasing 20 rabbits") to one core strength. The clip also emphasizes hiring and management skills and prioritizing value over cost.
24 years
I'm this big shot guy driving awesome cars, but, like, dude, I'm nothing. If it wasn't for the team, for the experiences that I had to go through. You can do it, too. It's just. Are you willing to put in that 24 years of effort? It's the mindset shift.
No, it's mindset shift. It's definitely getting dialed into one to many. Your biggest problem is you're chasing 20 rabbits. Not even seven. You're chasing 20. So when you and I talk, it's always getting you focused on the one thing. Because, you know, he's young, he's hungry, he's excited, he's invincible. He can do it all. But, guys, we're not. We. We can't do it all. We can't be everything for everybody. We got to focus on what we're great at. And what I'm trying to help Beacon with is hiring people. He needs to learn how to hire and how to manage. And stop focusing on cost. Focus on value.
