Mark Evans argues fulfillment is awareness, not a fixed state, and it shifts with your circumstances. He warns it's fleeting and suggests strategic selfishness helps you improve yourself for others. The term might just be a thought oddity.

Get in the game of life, not be selfish. And again, there's a point in time in the game to be selfish. It's the ultimate selfish way to be selfish. You have to be selfish to go get what you want because if I get better, everyone around me gets better. But fulfillment is awareness. You have to be aware of it and you have to be looking at it because as soon as you think you have it all figured out, something's falling apart on the backside. So be careful with this whole fulfillment movement because fulfillment is fleeting. It's changing, it's evolving. If you're healthy now, your fulfillment looks different than if you got the news you're going to die in 12 months, that fulfillment package is going to look a little bit a lot different. So be cautious of fulfillment as a term. I'd like to call it thought oddity. When I say fulfillment, what do you think of.
