Thank you so much for joining me on another episode of Cunning Crystals, the podcast. As you all know by now, my name is Mart Tweedyedy, I'm your host, and this week I am super, super excited because I'm off to London. Today is Tuesday. I know this episode comes out on Friday, but today is Tuesday, and I don't usually like record my podcasts that far in advance because I just don't get a chance to, but But the reason that I'm recording it on Tuesday is that because from Wednesday, tomorrow lunchtime, I'm off to London for a couple of days, um, and I'm going to, um, the Expert Empires event with Denise Duffield-Thomas. So Denise, if you don't know, is the founder and leader of Money Bootcamp. She has, you know, her 3 books, um, Lucky Bitch, Get Rich Lucky Bitch, and Chillpreneur, and she's just amazing. And this event, it's being spoke at by a few different others like Joe Wicks, the body coach. He's going to be there, for example. And the tickets, like The tickets were crazy because I was in the first 100 people to buy tickets. I got automatically put into a draw to win, uh, breakfast with Denise Duffield-Thomas on the Friday morning, which I got tickets for. And, um, I also got free access to a bar— a free bar, can I say— at a party with all the guest speakers and everything on the Thursday night. So I'm going to have a freaking whale of a time. Down in London. So that's at Wembley over the next couple of days. So I'm really, really excited. I'm going to be in Wembley for the next couple of days, and I'm just super excited for what I'm going to learn. Because obviously Denise, um, she's been a big inspiration of mine and looking at, you know, creating and developing a positive money mindset. And that's something that I wanted to base today's episode around. I probably should have done this next week, to be honest, when I could have like fed back what I've learned from Denise. To be fair, I'll probably touch on that in this next week's episode as well. Um, but it's just so interesting, isn't it, as to like how people get to where they are in business, what you can learn from them, what you can take away even if you don't have your own business as such. It's just what can you take away from their life lessons? What have they learned? What have they done wrong? Um, what lessons have they learned from that and how they've actually like grew themselves like spiritually, self-developmentally, all that jazz. So I'm really, really excited for that. Um, but something else that I wanted to say just before we get going with today's episode is that I've been totally blown away by all of your love and support this last week. So honestly, I'm so, so overwhelmed. You lot never fail to disappoint me, so thank you so much. So unless you've been living under a rock, you'll be aware that a couple of Fridays ago I launched the Manifesting Money Masterclass on the Canny Crystals Academy, and I went live in the Facebook group to over 300 of you that were able to join me live at that time, and the video has now been watched almost 2,000 times now from people who couldn't make the live. But it was all to launch the 6-week course on the Academy, to tell you what it's all about, to answer any questions that you had about it, you know, all that jazz. And by the time I got to the end of my 45-minute presentation, 17 of you had already joined. I was like, you know, what the actual, like, I hadn't even gotten to the end of the Q&A or anything. And then by the end of the Q&A, we'd already gone over the 100 people that I said could get a 50% discount code. And when I woke up the next morning, there were over 200 of you that had joined. And this number, just 2 weeks later, like right now, I'm up to 3— well, it's not even 2 weeks, like it's 10 days. I'm up to 350 people in this course. Honestly, I can't even express how grateful I am to you all. I'm totally blown away. I was expecting maybe 10 to 15 people to sign up, and there's 350 of you. So thank you so much. It just goes to prove that this is the direction I need to go in. This is the direction that you all want me to go in. Um, so I will be launching another couple of things that I've got in the pipeline that I'm really, really excited about in the next week or so. Um, but yeah, I decided to say thank you and extend the 50% discount code to you all. So unless you've been living under the rock and you haven't seen it, the code is MONEY MONEY MONEY, all as one word, and that just allows you to buy the course for half price. It's usually £222, but it reduces it down to £111. You know, 1-1-1, say liquid number, or if you want to spread the cost, it takes the 3 payments from £80 to just £40 a month for 3 months. So if you put the code in "money money money," you can spread those 3 payments and just do £40 a month for 3 months. How amazing is that? But once you buy that course, it's yours for life. Even if I died tomorrow— touch wood, I'm not going to— but even if I died tomorrow, it would still be there, okay? And there's a huge community integration built into the course, and it's been, you know, so nice to read all your stories and see you all commenting on lessons, helping each out. And I've been putting me two cents in as well and chatting with you all in there. And it's just honestly been such a nice experience to get to know people better, to be able to help people. Like, you know, someone like was struggling with one of the lessons the other day, and before I'd even got chance to like put my two cents in and like jump in and tell them, I scrolled up and like loads of other people had been helping them out and commenting. So then I was just like commenting back and it just became like a chat, do you know what I mean? And it's It's so, so lush. Honestly, I'm loving how well you're all doing and getting on with the course. People have been sharing like all their realisations. Some of you have been sharing your manifestations too, just 2 weeks into the course. It's been wild, but get involved while you can because that 50% offer won't be around forever. So in light of all this money mindset work and in light of me like visiting Denise Duffield-Thomas later this week, I'd like to talk to you all today about our relationship with money. Because it's something that we don't often talk about, but it is one of the most fundamental parts of manifestation and manifesting money in your life. So it's like, do you sometimes wish that you had more money? Like, of course you do, who doesn't? Even so, most of us like kind of harbor this negative emotion about money and kind of people who make it as well. We're kind of resentful towards them, and all that negativity is keeping us from realizing our full financial potential. And that's such a shame because you have the power to change situation at any given time. We know this. We can change our vibration. We can change the situation that we're living in right now because all you need to do is get into the right mindset and overcome those notions that are holding us back. And many of us have, you know, a conflicted relationship with money, and that's what keeps us from reaching our full potential. And money is a complicated subject. Don't get us wrong. Like, some people love and obsess over it. Whilst other people have come to despise the stuff. And while there are those who desire money, there are also those who feel deeply ashamed of having so much of it. And our culture has many negative beliefs about money, like it's being the reason that people turn into greedy and selfish monsters. But that's just a myth. It's just something that we've made up over time, because making money is what allows people to, you know, break free from financial constraints and use their time and energy for the things that they care about. And this is how people are able to start charities and, you know, spread the word about important issues like climate change and things like that. And often our attitude to wealth will fluctuate between good and bad. So for example, if you visit a friend who has kind of an impressive widescreen TV, you might feel the desire to buy a similar TV. But then you might see a person that you don't like and they're bragging about owning that exact same TV on Facebook. And in an instant you automatically feel disgusted with yourself for ever wanting such a pointless luxury item. And don't get us wrong, like, I'm guilty of this as well because I know I've definitely felt that way. I wanted one of those swinging egg chairs during the lockdown in 2020, you know, them egg chairs for your garden, they're like hanging on a big metal pole. I just wanted it basically so I could sit and meditate in the garden. But as soon as I saw that one of my neighbours that doesn't like us buy one, straight away I was like, "Yeah, I don't want one of those anymore." Now, this woman, bearing in mind, she just lives up the road from us, but whenever I say hi and smile and stuff like that, she always has a face like a slapped arse. So, she probably just doesn't like life in general, she might not just like me. But she bought one, and I was like, "I don't want one of those anymore, 'cause that miserable lady has one and she's miserable." So, it kind of tainted it for me. So, another misguided belief about money is that if one person gets rich, It means that someone else stays poor. And believe me, that idea is stemming from what's known as a lack mindset, or you might want to call it a scarcity mindset. And that leads us to believe that there just isn't enough money or resources in the world to go around. But if you think of it this way, like, if you eat a sandwich, do you think that someone in another country is having their sandwich taken away mid-bite? No. The real scenario is that you eat your sandwich to have the energy to work and create opportunities for others to do their job. Thereby, you're making it possible for them to afford their own sandwiches. Money isn't inherently evil, okay? It's simply an effective way of conducting business. And on its own, money isn't good or bad. It's a blank slate. It's up to us as human beings to decide how money will be put to use for good or for evil. Like, there weren't any evil intentions when the concept of money was invented back in ancient times. People just wanted a better way of doing business. Than bartering, you know, that'd probably become annoying as fuck. Back in the day, if you wanted a nice fur coat, you might have had to build a stone wall for the person who could make it for you, or someone might be asked to, you know, trade his daughters in exchange for a castle, all that jazz. Olden days were funny, weren't they? So rather than being evil, it's more accurate to recognise money as an efficient way to get things done. And when you think of it this way, like, are all cars evil because some people are filled with road rage and scream at other people when they get behind the wheel? Are all computers, like, evil because some people use them to commit crimes and fraud? It's true that people around the world have done horrible things for money, but the blame should be placed with that individual person that does that and not with the cash itself. And I think once you get around that mindset, the energetic thought of money doesn't seem as daunting anymore. Okay, so it's like getting your head around it. So here's a little something that you could do to kind of help you disassociate money from evil, greedy characteristics. Because negative qualities are usually reserved, you know, for people. So try writing two Dear Money letters, like, Dear Money, blah blah blah, as if you were addressing a person, okay? And I want you to write two letters. So it doesn't have to be anything massive, just like a little notepad size or a little journal size or something. And I want you to write two. I want you to write one that explains your negative feelings towards money and like I say, aim it as if you were addressing a person. So, dear money. And I want you to write another one that explains at least a few positive feelings about money. So how money makes you feel, uh, you know, like how you would spend it if you had it, um, what it's done to you in the past and that kind of thing, how it's made you feel in the past, how it's going to make you feel in your future if you had it. Because when we write our feelings down we're able to kind of lay our cards on the table and see where we're being judgmental. And it usually just gets it out of our system. So if you write two letters, one about all your negative feelings and emotions around money, and one with all your positive emotions and feelings, read those letters out loud to yourself. And that's the point where you'll come to realize that all of your negative feelings, they don't hold up to logic, okay? The positive things all make sense, but the negative feelings won't hold up to logic. There are things that, you know, you've been conditioned by your parents. Like, you know, money doesn't grow on trees, it's in one hand and out the other, we've always got just enough to get by. You know, all those little connotations and things that were said by your parents or your friends, or, you know, we can't afford that, or we don't have enough for that, or eat every last thing on your plate because there are starving families out there. You know, like, if there are starving families out there, they're starving anyway. They are not starving purely because you've left a little bit of broccoli on your plate. Okay, and that's the kind of mindset that we've been conditioned to grow up with from our parents and our siblings and our friends and our family, and it's one that I'm really passionate about breaking the cycle with. So to continue nurturing a positive attitude towards money, you can also kind of express your gratitude, you know, when you get paid, and treat these occasions as the true blessings that they are because We know that when we feel gratitude and positivity towards something, we receive more of that experience back because like attracts like. And you can improve your situation by putting out positivity. So even though we're taught to accept the things that we see and hear as reality, the truth is far more complex because our 5 senses are being processed by our brain. We are creating this illusion of life, our own unique universe in which we constantly live in. So it's really important that our brains are, you know, processing things in a positive way and they're creating a prosperous universe for ourselves. Because at any given moment, we can interpret things as being either good or bad, and it's easy to only view things negatively and just to get stuck in kind of a bleak world overview and only seeing all the negative things in life. So you might think to yourself, you know, I'll never be able to afford a holiday. Why even bother trying to save up money? Screw it, let's just waste it on Uber Eats or a night out. At least that'll make us happy for a while. And that kind of thinking can last a lifetime, and before you know it, you're 10 years in the future, you've still got that attitude. Alternatively, you can start putting positive thoughts into your universe and experience opportunity and good fortune right now. Okay, people who accomplish great things, you know, like climbing a mountain in a wheelchair or escaping poverty, They don't do that by thinking negative thoughts. They change their situation by putting out positivity and grabbing opportunities while they happen. That kind of attitude is one that could basically help to change your financial situation, just as it did for me. Like, everyone knows my story. My financial situation has changed massively over the last 2-3 years. And money can bring either positive or negative energy into your life. We just need to learn to control it. When you exchange money with someone, it's not just a physical transaction. You're also putting either good or bad energy into the universe, and that's why it's important to make the right kind of transactions to bring good fortune back your way. For example, if you made £20 doing a good deed for an elderly neighbour, for, I don't know, say doing some gardening for them or potting some plants or something like that, that puts out a different energy than just finding £20 blown around outside of a shopping center, because deep down inside you know that that £20 belonged to someone, and you know that you would feel like crap if you lost £20. So naturally, like, offering a helpful service is positive, while stealing and just finding things on the street, if you want to call it that, that's negative, okay? So if you're an employer, for example, you're putting out energy when you pay your workers. So if you're ripping people off and you're underpaying them, you're giving out bad energy, you're creating a negative relationship. But if you're being honest and paying your employees the right amount, the relationship and the energy will be positive. So you should always be aware of the kind of energy being created in these money situations and just strive to keep all of your dealings in life positive. You should also think of how you can channel that energy so it can continue to generate more good in the world. And for that to happen, you shouldn't really focus your energy on one single thing, but rather be open to all good possibilities in life. Because by focusing on just one person or one possibility, you're blinding yourself to the infinite number of other opportunities that are out there and that can probably provide you more positive money. It's a lot like finding the man of your dreams. So if you're focusing all your attention on one guy, boy or girl, whatever you're looking for, your happiness is therefore completely under their control. And that's whether or not they decide to return your feelings. So instead, you could focus on recognising the qualities of the person that you're looking for, because then you'll soon find that there's more than one guy or girl out there that can bring you the positive love that you're looking for. And there are ways to break free from your fears and worries about making money, because We all have them, even me. But if you're feeling like your anti-money beliefs are still too deep-seated to shake, here are some ways that you can break free. Okay, so one of the best ways that you can start thinking differently is to just dive right in, take a bold move towards making your dreams come true. So like when I spent my last £250 on buying some crystals and candles to start Candy Crystals 2 years ago in the first place, That was a huge gamble for me, but it was truly a bold move towards making my dreams come true. And once you take that jump into the great unknown, there are bound to be kind of lingering doubts and worries. But instead of ignoring them or letting the fear take over, just write them down as a way to acknowledge their power. Burn the list if you want to, bury it, rip it up, and move on. Release it. The best time to do this is on a full moon. We've spoke about this before. But write everything down, it gets it out of your system. You know, if you write a letter to someone who's done you wrong, or say your partner's cheated on you or something like that, if you write out a text in the heat of the moment, you get it all out of your system. Yeah, so writing things down is so powerful and so energetic, but then burning it is like getting rid of it ultimately, or ripping it up, or, you know, just tearing it to shreds, or flushing it down the toilet. Don't do that, it'll probably block your pipes. But you know what I'm saying, just get rid of it. So even when I bought myself those candles and those crystals initially, you set kind of crystals up. I was bombarded with fears that I was making the wrong choice. You know, these wobbles are usually irrational, and I was going from what everyone else was saying rather than what I knew. So I knew I could make a go of it. I, I knew that I could put my all into it, and then I was really passionate about it. But as soon as I was telling people, they were like, really, you're going to leave the NHS to sell rocks? That's what my nana said. And my mom was just like, you know, you've got a mortgage, you need to think about that, you can't be doing this. And they're, they're really proud of where I am now, 2 years later. But if I had to listen to their fears, that was their fears like being imprinted onto me, do you know what I mean? I mean, obviously I really worried that it wouldn't work out. Like, I just assumed that all my friends would laugh at us for failing. I would have to go crawling back to the NHS like begging, uh, for my job back, that it would be a waste of £250. I was biting off more than I could chew. The list was endless. Like, you might have similar thoughts or even just believe that it's too late in life to change. Like, there are people in my Manifesting Money Masterclass who are 60 and above that are trying to change their life before retirement, and I think that's amazing that they haven't just thought, oh well, I'm 60 now, I've only got like 5 to 10 years left before I can retire anyway, what's the point? It's amazing that people are wanting to change their mindset, and it's amazing to see when they're manifestations actually come in and they're like, wow, they send me a message and they're like, wow, you've changed my life. Like, I never thought of it this way. I've never ever been able to step outside of that box that I've been put in for the last 60 years of my life. Okay, you might have similar thoughts or believe that it's too late to change as well, but it's all nonsense. And take that from me, it is all nonsense. I wish I had all of the knowledge that I had now when I was 16 years old. I waited until I was like 32 before I started on this money mindset journey. And now look at us. Like, it's absolutely crazy. I wish I knew all this like 16 years earlier when I left school, because I'd probably be a multimillionaire by now. And I'm not just saying that. I actually would, because I'd be able to put all of this into action and make money. And it's just years of conditioning and irrational fears that have been imprinted onto us. That's all it is. Any subconscious worries can be altered to create a new narrative for your success story, and it's best when you can prove to yourself that, you know, you have the power to think positively and you can control your own destiny. So generally speaking, people don't become rich unless they want to be. It's not like a lot of the time, you know, money is just handed to us, unless of course you're born into a naturally wealthy family like Paris Hilton, for example. So naturally, it's important to tap into your desires for money if you want to start banking that real money. And the key to unlocking that desire is to get specific about why you want the money and how much of it you need. Then you can set solid goals for yourself. Break those down into, like, achievable chunks because we know that the Law of Attraction loves us to get specific about our goals and dreams. Okay. We need to get specific about why we want money. When there's a why, it kind of drives you even further, okay? Because we have that passion behind us. It's all right saying, yeah, I want to manifest £5,000 by the end of the year. That has no meaning behind it. There's no oomph, there's no drive, there's no passion, there's no fire, okay? Whereas if you say, I want £5,000 by the end of this year because, because I'm gonna, you know, break free from this cycle and I'm going to pay off my debts and I'm going to live my best life next year from concentrating this year on paying off all my debts, and this £5,000 is going to come in from an unknown source. It's not like you just have to have a side hustle to earn money. You can earn money in any kind of way, okay? But you've just gotta be specific and think, this is the amount I want, this is why I want it, this is what I'm going to do with it, this is how I'm going to feel when I've got that money. Go through all those motions, and honestly, it will come to you, and you'll get these ideas. And a famous example of how well this can work comes from, you know, the actor Jim Carrey. He wrote a $10 million check to himself when he was broke and he was desperate for a job. You've probably heard of this as I'm sure it's kind of, I think it's mentioned in The Secret actually, but he dated the check 3 years in the future and sure enough, that act sparked his motivation to earn that money because he didn't just say, "I'm going to earn £10 million in the next 3 years." He said, "I'm going to earn £10 million in the next 3 years to support my family." to grow as a person, to pay off my mom and dad's debts. He had all these reasons, and that sparked the motivation to earn that money. And by the time the date on the check arrived, 3 years later, he'd landed his biggest role yet in the movie Dumb and Dumber. And that earned him the, you know, more, more money than he even wrote on that check. And a goal like that is effective because it's specific. And when you're precise about the goal and how meaningful it is to you, that increases the likelihood of that specific goal becoming a reality. So think of it as like, you know, placing an order with the universe. You wouldn't place an order at a sandwich shop like Subway or something by just going in and be like, "Hi, one sandwich please." You've got to tell them what kind of bread you want, whether you want mayo or butter, what fillings you want, what toppings you want, whether you want it toasted, whether you want cheese on it, whether you want it put in a bag, whether you're just going to eat in or dine out. You know what I mean? That way, you'll get what you want when you're specific, and the same goes for getting what you want out of life. Being specific also provides a great boost for your determination because, yeah, a sandwich is great, but a sandwich with all your favourite ingredients in just the right proportions? That's what gets your mouth watering. But being specific doesn't mean limiting yourself. Remember to stay open to the surprises that the universe has to offer. So don't say like, I want to manifest £5,000, I'm going to win it through a radio competition. You know, Capital have this radio competition every day, and I'm going to say, Capital, give me the cash. Other radio stations are available, um, and you're going to say like, Capital, give me the cash, and you're going to win £5,000. Don't limit yourself because you've got to stay open to the surprises that the universe has to offer. This £5,000 could appear in your life, and I'm just using this £5,000 as an example but this £5,000 can show up in your life in many guises. Like, um, you could be backdated some PPI, something like that. Someone could have left some money to you in a will. You could receive money through a bank error in your favor, or, you know, you could be gifted some money, or yeah, you could win it from a competition. Or, you know, money can literally show up in so many ways. You could have this overnight business idea where you shit, I'm going to do this and I'm going to make all this money. And you could put things into motion, break it down, and within 6 months have that £5,000. Yeah, don't limit yourself because the universe will work around and it will deliver to you, trust me. Because you just need to remember to stay open to all the surprises the universe has to offer. And that concept is known as surrendering to the universe. So we always say, you know, ask, believe, receive. This is the belief stage. You're surrendering to the universe. Okay, the key message through all of this is that Many people have negative associations with money that keep them from their full earning potential. But by adopting a positive outlook on life and opening yourself up to the universe, you'll find that good things can happen and wealth can be part of a, you know, a harmonious, happy life. The universe wants to provide us with money, so take control and earn that money. But one piece of actionable advice would be just to create a positive environment for yourself on a daily basis. This because we know, like I said, like attracts like. When you create a positive environment for yourself, you're going to create these positive experiences to show up in your life. So if you decide to transform your financial reality, just make sure you avoid all the people that say no and all the doubters in your life. Surround yourself with people who believe in your potential to realize your dreams. You should also spend time in places and doing activities that form your ideal life. People ask me this all the time. They say, how can I live my life as if my manifestation is here? And I tell them like exactly what I've done. If there's a car that you want to buy in the future, take it for a test drive like I did. Take photos of yourself in that car. Feel what it feels like. You might feel that, you know, you take this car out on a test drive, you've been trying to manifest it for 3 years, and you fucking hate it. What's the point of like wasting year after year after year trying to manifest something for you to then realize that when you actually get it, you don't like it. Try it out first. Try before you buy. So if there was a neighborhood that you wanted to move to, you know, like, I want to live in this gated community in Newcastle, it's amazing, it's in Ponteland, it's up near the airport, it is a gated community. I think the cheapest house up there is something like £1.6 million. It's ridiculous. And that is probably one of my, like, biggest dreams, to live up there, because it's just such a lush area. But what do I do? I go and take my dog up there. I spend time in its cafes and its parks. I live as if I live up there, okay? I take the dog up there all the time for walks. I know those streets inside out because I travel them all the time, and I'm living my life as if I already live there. That's what I mean when I say live your life as if your manifestations are already here. So whatever it is that you're trying to manifest in your life, act as if you have it now. That'll help propel you into how you're going to take those actionable steps to actually get to where you want in life, because being in these environments is a great way to help keep you inspired and motivated.
