In this vlog, Mary Schiller records day 28 of her 30‑day "following my dreams" challenge (August 4, 2024). She recounts a brief trip to Luxembourg where she fell ill at a family celebration, yet she still documents the day. She notes modest progress on her two primary dream projects: a novel rewrite (sparked by a WhatsApp discussion with her daughter) and informal French practice during the trip for an upcoming exam. The central thread of the entry is the emerging theme that each person is "the one" for a particular purpose—Mary sees herself as the one to bring her novel’s characters and a new business message to the world, though she is waiting for the right name before revealing the breakthrough. She invites viewers to reflect on what they themselves are "the one" for, encouraging comments about personal contributions and purpose. The tone is conversational, reflective, and motivational.

It is day 28 of 30 days of following my dreams. It is August 4th, 2024, le 4 août 2024, and the sun is going down. I think it's after 9 PM. I got home a couple of hours ago from a very quick trip to Luxembourg over the weekend. One of my family members lives, lives there, and she was hosting an event, a celebratory event yesterday. And unfortunately, I got sick at the event. So about halfway through, I had to excuse myself, and my husband and I went back to the hotel, and I took some medicine and basically collapsed. And I am still recuperating from that, but I was not going to let this day go by without documenting something because it's day 28 of 30. I'm almost there. So did I do anything today related to my two main dream projects? My novel rewrite got a little bit of attention actually because my daughter and I were having a discussion over WhatsApp related to some fiction things, and so I counted that. And I did not officially practice French for the exam that I've got coming up in October, but I did speak quite a bit of French over the weekend in Luxembourg, so I'm just going to count that as a yes. But the main thing that I wanted to share is something that I can't really articulate very well yet, but it's something that has been sort of brewing underneath everything these past 28 days, and that is the idea that you are the one. You are the one. There is something in you that is already being expressed through you and could be expressed even more through you if you let it, because you are the one for whatever that is. You just are. And as an example, I see myself as the one to let the world meet the characters in my novel and to read that story. I am the one who is going to bring that story and those characters to people. I also am the one to bring a new message to people that I've been sort of hinting at over these last several days, this breakthrough that I had related to my business. The only reason I haven't shared it yet really explicitly is because I'm waiting for a name to come to me. It needs a really awesome name and that has not occurred in my brain yet. And yes, I have asked ChatGPT for assistance and it's just not been good. So I just thought, you know, I'm gonna wait for the name to come to me and then I will share it because then it will be the right time. But I know that I am the one to bring this to fruition. So my question to you is, what are you the one for? I'm sure you can think of things that you have already brought to fruition and brought to people through you in your life, and I would love to know what some of those things are. I think if I look at myself, certainly I can point to some books that I have written already, the non-fiction books, and that I have been the one to bring a new perspective to things like recovering from trauma and things like that. I also really see myself as the one to connect with maybe older adults who are trying to revamp their lives and are wondering if it's too late, and I am here to be an example that it certainly is not. So I think I am the one for that. So tell me in the comments, what are you the one for? Thanks so much. Talk to you tomorrow.
