In this solo instructional video, Mary Schiller, founder of MarySchiller.com, emphasizes that a coaching business cannot exist without a concrete offer. She shares her own experience of finally posting a priced service on her website in 2016, which immediately generated client sign‑ups, illustrating how specificity and visibility drive revenue. Schiller expands the concept of an offer beyond traditional one‑to‑one coaching to include group programs, online courses, books, audios, videos, and other passive‑income products that can generate income while the coach sleeps. She stresses the importance of leveraging time, avoiding the “hamster wheel” of constant client acquisition, and aligning the offer with personal passion and enjoyment. The video concludes with a practical challenge: viewers should audit their current offerings, ask whether they truly want to deliver them, and refine the description to be specific about outcomes and value. She invites comments on what offers participants envision, underscoring the limitless possibilities for creating impactful, financially sustainable businesses within the Three Principles community.

Hello, this is Mary Schiller, author and chief permission granter at MarySchiller.com. This is day 5 of our week-long business success challenge. And this series is designed for people in the Three Principles Community who want to build a successful business around sharing the principles. And that is a mission that is near and dear to my heart. I want every single person who wants to make this their life's work to be really, really successful at it, making the kind of money that you want to make, reaching the number of people you want to reach and having the impact that you want to have. So day 5 is all about what is on offer. You don't have a business if you don't have anything on offer. Now that might seem really basic, but you'd be surprised at how many people that I've spoken to over the last year, year and a half, who say that they are developing a coaching business, but they're not offering anything. And it's like, okay, well, you can't have any clients if you don't have anything on offer. And I can laugh because I was kind of the same way. You know, I made a decision at a certain point in spring of 2016 to become a professional coach, and I realized, oh, I guess I better put something on my website as an offer, uh, or nobody's gonna know how much I charge or what this looks like. And it was really funny because at the time I really had no idea how much to charge or how to structure anything. But what happened was the moment I actually put something on my site that had a price and a description of what we would do together during our work, people signed up. It was kind of amazing. And that's happened ever since then. Every time I have put together an offer and put it out there to people in my small circle, so far it's relatively small, I've had people sign up. And so this isn't meant to be a frivolous question. It really is one that is at the core of having a business, because if you don't have something to sell, you can't earn money and you don't have a business. So another piece of this that I often find very interesting is that a lot of people haven't really considered how they could earn money while they sleep, how they could share these principles while they sleep and have a much bigger reach. And that's one reason why I have the free group on Facebook, Passive Income Magic, because I personally have benefited financially and emotionally from having books out there and other products that share the principles with people. And it's been hugely rewarding to know that I don't have to be talking to someone live in order to be making an impact on their life. And I don't really know, um, how I existed before technology, honestly, because most of the people that I have impacted, I have never met. They are people who have read my books or listened to my audios, or, you know, I haven't worked with anyone in person. It's all been over the internet. So there's tons of ways that we can put things on offer to people instead of the conventional one-to-one coaching. If that's something that you want to do, of course you should do that, but I have no problem with any other form that this takes, whether that's, you know, working in groups, which is pretty cool because then it's a lot more leveraged in terms of your time, and I happen to think that The dynamics of a group can be incredibly helpful in sharing these principles, whether you're creating standalone products that you're putting out there to people— audios, videos, online courses, books, all kinds of things like that. But you need to have something on offer, and what that is is up to you. But you may want to consider looking at how you can better leverage your time. If you are constantly feeling like you're behind the 8-ball, if you're constantly feeling like you have to get more clients, get more clients, get more clients, you might want to take a few steps back from that and go back to a couple of the earlier videos for the week and see if there's anything that you can do to bring more value to what you're doing. So that you don't have to constantly try to attract new clients and, you know, do lots and lots of selling and kind of get on that hamster wheel because that isn't helpful to anyone, especially you. So my challenge for you in this video is to look at what you have on offer and ask yourself a couple of questions about it. First of all, Is it something that you really want to be doing? If you are offering one-to-one coaching but you don't really enjoy it, well, how could you change it? How could you make it something that's more fun? If you don't have anything on offer, you might want to consider putting something online on your website or however you communicate to people and being very specific about what that offer is. People respond to specificity. They don't respond to something vague. So consider how you can make what you're offering very specific in terms of what you want them to learn from it, what the outcomes will be, or what they will get from working with you. So really, this video is about you taking a timeout and considering, first of all, do I have something on offer? And if I do have something on offer, is it something that I want to be doing, or is there something else that I could be offering that may have more impact on both the people I serve and on my business? There are lots and lots and lots of ways to design a business that you can, um, create, and a lot of them are not necessarily what you might consider conventional coaching, but that doesn't mean that they're any less valuable, and in fact, they might be even more valuable. So I would love to hear what's come up for you in listening to this particular lesson, because for me, this is a really exciting piece. You know, there are limitless offers that we can put out there to the world that people can really respond to. And really get something from that are also inspiring to us. So take a moment and take stock, and I would love to hear your comments. Thanks so much for watching.
