In this personal video, Mary Schiller (aka Mary in Paris) reflects on a recent 24‑hour challenge she gave her audience to notice how often they act on what they truly want. After a day of mixed experiences, she pauses to listen to her inner "heart calling" and receives a clear directive: stop one‑to‑one coaching. She outlines a new, diversified professional path that includes continuing to write books, creating online classes, recording helpful audios, writing fiction (encouraged by her daughter), and expanding group programs with her creative partner Sarah Murrah. A longtime friend also suggested she become a motivational speaker, leveraging her rapid recovery from post‑traumatic stress disorder and her personal story to become a public face for the Three Principles. Mary shares her belief that the Three Principles (Universal Mind) enable rapid, lasting change when we listen to our inner guidance, and invites viewers to comment, email, or otherwise engage with her new direction.

Hello there, this is Mary Shiller, author and coach, or as I'm calling myself these days, Mary in Paris, and still feeling like a fish out of water here, but slowly gaining my bearings. I wanted to record this video for you this morning. It's morning here on Friday. I think it's, I don't know, the 18th, 17th, 17th, I guess. And there's a little bit of background noise because actually outside my building they're setting up some scaffolding to do some repair work on the building next door. So I apologize for any noise you hear in the background, but I wanted to let you know of something that really interesting, something really interesting that happened after I sent out my 24-hour challenge to you yesterday, which was basically I asked you to for 24 hours, pay attention to how often you were doing things you wanted to be doing and how often you were doing things that you didn't want to be doing. And in the video I mentioned that one of the reasons why I think it's so important for us to listen to the callings of our heart and to really pay attention to what we're being asked to do from within is because it seems like it's a way for us to connect with mind in Three Principles language, Universal Mind, to really experience a deeper and more powerful connection to the creative intelligence that is joining all of us together but is being expressed through each of us individually, and that it's also a way for us to allow others to experience that. By having the benefit of our creative gifts because we're listening to what we're being called to do. And I should also mention that, you know, these heart callings, as I like to describe them, can change over time. You know, they— at one point in your life, you might be called to do one thing, and then later on, you might be called to do something completely different. There are many, many people who have made radical life changes in their career direction, for instance, when they've realized that there's something else that they want to be doing. And so that relates to what I'm going to share with you. So yesterday, as I was going through my day, I had a lot of thinking. I was really not in a good state of mind at all yesterday. I did have some fun. I went with my daughter to one of our favorite places, lingerie. Which serves beautiful pastries and lovely tea. And so we enjoyed that, and we had fun walking around that particular neighborhood around the Church of the Madeleine and just had a nice afternoon. And then in the evening, my daughter made some quiche, which was lovely. So I had some good experiences yesterday, but something was really nagging at me in the back of my mind, and I finally decided to just sort of pause pause and listen to what it was saying. And what it was saying was, Mary, you need to stop doing one-to-one coaching. You need to stop doing one-to-one coaching. And I was like, okay, so what will I do instead? And the instead answer was, you're going to keep writing books because you enjoy doing that. You're going to start creating some online classes for people to take at their leisure, you know, a way to experience these three principles in all different ways on their own time frame. You're going to keep recording audios because those are really, really helpful to people. You've gotten such good feedback on that. And you're going to write some fiction. That was courtesy of my daughter pointing out to me that I have some talent in that area and she'd like to see me pursue it, and that sounded like fun. And you're also going to create some more group programs, Mary. You're going to work with larger groups like you've been doing with your creative partner Sarah Murrah and keep going with that. And then sort of the coup de grâce or the pièce de résistance, however you want to put it, also came to me and I have no idea if this is going to happen. It's not really in my control, but it was something that a very good friend of mine mentioned, oh gosh, about a year ago. She said, you know, Mary, I think if there's a way for you to become a real face for these principles, you should try to do that because of your story, of your quick recovery from post-traumatic stress disorder and your ability to speak about that. She said, "I think you would really make a great motivational speaker, and you could become sort of a face of the Three Principles." So that's the other piece, is that I would really like to become a motivational speaker. I would like to speak to large groups, whether that's through video like this or in person or even virtually, and I'd like to tell my story. Because my story is not unique to me. You know, one of my wonderful readers responded to the email and said that, you know, she felt like I was unique in some way, that my quick turnaround was not normal. And in fact, she'd been told by other Three Principles practitioners that I'm an unusual case. And I just don't see it that way at all, because change doesn't have to take a long time. Just because you have had certain thinking for a long time doesn't mean that there's substance to it. It just means you've been listening to it. And when I realized for myself that I didn't need to listen to it anymore because it was creating suffering, that was pretty much all it took. And, you know, it's amazing what can happen when we give even a slight, slight opening for mind to reveal itself to us. So I hope that this video has been helpful to you, and I would love to hear your thoughts and comments. So please feel free to post them here on YouTube or respond to an email from me, or just write to me at mary@marieschiller.com. Talk to you again soon. Bye.
