No namby-pamby-ness ...

Mary Schiller argues that gratitude and routine thinking keep you stuck. She says the only thing that matters is acting on your initial spark of inspiration every single day, turning it into a flame that propels you upward.

Time to uplevel because life wants you to commit. It's so easy to just go about things as usual. Get up in the morning, brush your teeth, pee, poop, shower, eat, work, more eating, more peeing, probably not more pooping, but maybe depending on the eating part, walking, talking, more eating, more peeing, Netflix, more Netflix, brush your teeth, fall asleep, repeat. Same old, same old. And listening to the familiar thoughts in your head that say you can't do this, that, or the other, that you're never really going to have what you want in your life, that dreams are for other people, that you should be grateful and practice this gratitude every day instead of reaching for what you really want. You know what all that is? It's bullshit. That's what it is. Because life doesn't want namby-pamby-ness. It doesn't want wishy-washiness. It's telling you in big ways and in small ways to commit, dang it. Like every time your heart gets tugged toward a dream, let's say part of that dream is having your own coaching business that impacts other people and gives you the money you'd love to have, you don't go there with it. Instead, you listen to thoughts that tell you you can't, or you're not good enough, you don't know enough, or you'll be embarrassed, or that people will hate you and want you to die, or whatever the heck those thoughts are saying to you. It's all BS. None of it matters. The only thing that matters is that spark of inspiration. If you act on that inspiration every day, that spark turns into a flame really fast. And that flame, instead of burning you, will burn within you, pushing you up up, up toward the dreams you have for yourself, for your life, for your family, for everything and everyone you care about. Because you see, upleveling simply means committing to what is calling to you and then acting on that every day. And not just every day, every moment of every day. Each small action sparks that fire. And once that fire has been lit, It can never be extinguished.
