A banker quit his job in Australia after his cat Shan's stomach problems cleared up on a new diet. He saw a gap in the cat food market, pitched the idea to his wife, and started a company.
Him and I always kept on talking, and then in December 2018, Ben had this event with his cat Shan, and I think that kicked it all off for us. And we're like, okay, well, there actually is something to be done here. Like, there is a problem in cat food. Ben's cat Shan was sick, like fundamental stomach issues, and he did, and health immediately improved. Poop was better. And so that gave us the kernels. Like, okay, is there something here? I think as like bankers, you're just like, okay, what does the market tell us? So We looked at market share and just said, look, that's the complete opposite to how I approached this. There could be something here. And then I proposed to my wife and quit my job and then moved back because I was in Australia at the time.
