Discovered entrepreneurship when I was maybe like 18. Always used to design logos, fictitious brands I would maybe one day launch. Launched a clothing brand when I was 18. Didn't know what the fuck I was doing. Logo on a white T shirt. Everyone took the piss. Was working in Waitrose. Hated every second of it. Put all my money from that summer job into like stock and couldn't sell anything. Went to uni to study business at uni. Did six weeks before I dropped out. Then when I did a placement in central London in M and A. Mergers and acquisitions. Wearing a suit, meeting wealthy people for the first time in my life. Realizing that you didn't have to be a footballer or a celebrity to make money. Did that for like six months. Went back to unique. Didn't really know what the I was doing. Did a graphic design for a year, then switched to advertising and then dropped out again. Like playing around with loads of different e comm stuff. Was in like Facebook groups. Discovered Facebook ads in like 2016. Started drop shipping jeans from China. That was like the first time I was like, oh, you can actually make money doing this. That's like doing pretty well. That became like a proper clothing brand that we designed our own shit. I got an office in Newcastle which is where I was at uni. My mate Ollie got involved who's now semi co host on the pod and investor in my newest business. So it's funny how it comes full circle. That business did pretty well. I stopped going to uni. Didn't tell my parents. Eventually got kicked out. That business then like fell apart. We just fell out and we just like fuck it, let's just stop running it. Got back into the drop shipping space. Traveling around Europe by myself. Yeah. Then I went to some e commerce event in Singapore in like September 2017, which I probably credit as being like the turning point where I met people doing similar shit to me. Because I knew literally no entrepreneurs from home, from uni, anything. I felt like an alien. Fast forward like the next two years. Basically spent like two years being a full time nomad. Lived in Bali for a while. Australia, America, Europe, basically everywhere. Did a bunch of dropshipping stuff, like had like a leggings website. This was back when Facebook ads are very easy to scale. A store probably like half a million a month at one point. So like didn't know anything about like investing and stuff. So I just wasted 90% of it, to be honest, on like traveling. Bought a few stupid cars. Then I decided I wanted to build something more long term.
