Matthew Kelly describes how experiences with psychedelic microdosing and difficulty swallowing tablets inspired him to create a chocolate/coffee-flavored functional drink. He experimented by opening capsules (lion's mane, ashwagandha) and blending them into a powder, aiming to recreate focus/flow effects; the product's pink/purple design nods to its psychedelic origins.

It's actually from like genetics, apparently. I also didn't like swallowing. Well, can't swallow tablets. So I used to unscrew capsules of lion's mane, ashwagandha and all this stuff and blend it into a chocolate powder and thought, well, this is cool. This makes me feel similar to a psychedelic microdose which was focus energy, also known as flow state. That was the initial premise and I thought, well, why not make this the product? The psychedelics was the initial spark which triggered me into this. Well, sent me down this rabbit hole of functional ingredients which I then found benefit from and thought, well, I can't follow tablets so why put them in tablet form like a lot of brands want to make a drink that is similar to a coffee, which ironically at the time was chocolate flavor, but now the main flavor is chocolate is coffee and chocolate and it became this whole thing and I made it pink and purple, which is really to be different, but also as a nod to psychedelics because that's where it started.
