This is the most important new product we have EVER launched! Showing you BTS of launch campaign

Matthew Kelly films a two-day shoot for Space Goods' new oat-mushroom latte RTD cans at a £2.5 million Airbnb in London. The 250 ml skinny cans launch first in Holland & Barrett, then expand to Tesco and Amazon. The product is a canned version of their popular Rainbow Dust mushroom latte.

Right, so we're here on set. This might look random. This is an Airbnb. We always book Airbnbs, as of more recently. Get way better rates, get cooler locations. Here for the RTD shoot, which is a 2-day shoot. We're shooting a bunch of stuff. Brad and Jordan, the OGs, are here. It's like a 4,000 square foot, I guess, kind of like mini country mansion vibe thing. Not mansion, but It's a fucking nice house. I haven't actually done a tour of the garden yet, but I will do that shortly. Very cozy old gaff. And yeah, out here filming for the next 2 days. We get 3 nights because you need 3 nights to get 2 full days. But yeah, that's like a massive master bedroom up there with like 3 more rooms behind it. This is like a downstairs bit. I'll give you a tour through. Might not be that interesting, but fucking hell, I need a haircut. I haven't actually been to a shoot for a while, and I got really pissed off about that. So that was kind of out of choice. I was just like, I'll just leave it to the team. And like, more regular shoots, I do that. But it's almost 4 years to the day we shot the original Space Goods Rainbow Dust movie, and I've I can't believe it's been that long. But yeah, give you a little bit of a tour of this gaff. The OG filmmaker, Indigo himself. Yeah, there's nothing set up in here yet, but we'll get like 4 different scenes and locations out of one house. That's the benefit of an Airbnb versus a studio or something like that. Oh, my gimbal's fucked. But yeah, this is not the stuff we're shooting. I'll show you that later. There might be something on there that is what we're shooting. My camera's gone all super weird. Yeah, it's just like a massive fucking country house. Well, not even massive, I don't know, it's probably like a £2.5 million house. It's fucking nice. It's giving like lawyer house vibes, what I fancy in here. I'll give you a very brief tour upstairs, probably not that interesting, but 3 bedrooms. Probably not allowed to film in here, although we have booked it for a shoot, so that can't be true. Another one in here. I must say, I do miss having greenery out of my window. Obviously in Dubai, I don't get much of that. Another one in here, and then comes into here. It's got a cheeky little Peloton, not that I'm going to use that. Massive fucking bathroom, standalone bath, and then Yeah, this is the master suite, which we're shooting a lot in here tomorrow. I'm actually featuring in this movie. I always like to— well, not always— on Hero products, I like to make a feature, a cameo. And yeah, this massive fucking garden. Pretty cozy, to be fair. There's another room in there. Someone's in there on a call. I'll try not to disturb, but yeah, that's pretty much the gaff. I could have made it look bigger and filmed in a wide angle, but yeah, it's a nice little setup. Not really much more to show. Might be more interesting tomorrow morning or tomorrow afternoon when we have an actual setup and models and so on. I'm gonna attempt to go for a run. This place is in Nebworth. Never been here. It's like North London— well, not even North London, it's well out of that. It's like north of Welling Garden City and other places. Massive garden. I've not walked down here yet. I used to have a 14-foot TP trampoline, which was banned when I turned like 13 because it became a death risk apparently. Wow, that's a nice fat house over there. This is a serious garden. Haunted-looking shed. Not sure what the crack is. It's a big gap over there, another one over there. Looks like the owner hasn't had time to sort it out. But yeah, anyway, here for next Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday night. Tuesday, Wednesday filming. I'll actually feature quite a lot of it, a few different scenes. A lot more goes into filming this stuff than it always looks like, right? So it's quite a high production shoot for this one. Shooting a few other things, but the main thing we're shooting is the big product that will be announced later this week at London Coffee Festival on our first major stand appearance, I think, like ever at any sort of show. So I really probably should have got my hair done before doing this shoot, but yeah, my girlfriend's also here. I forced her into coming to model for for free, which she wasn't very happy about, but that's part of the role. She does bits for Space Goods here and there. And yeah, this is the part of building a brand I actually prefer, but I haven't done enough of in honestly what feels like the last 2 years, certainly a year, which is fucking crazy. So Yep, that's the location. I will show you more stuff tomorrow when we actually start filming, and I'm going to attempt to go for a run now, so I'll catch you in a bit. Bosh. All right, first day on this shoot. Airbnb is an ideal setup because there's a shitload of kit and a lot of fancy cameras, including— what is my phone doing? Including this, which I believe is a Sony FX6. Cinematic setup. A lot of products here. And then this is what we're actually shooting today, which is, as you can tell, Space Goods RTD, ready-to-drink can. There's quite a few in there, but I will show you more of that. You can see me in the back. Sorry. Coffee caramel. First flavor. The issue with these cans is the first run hasn't come out the best quality. They look pretty good, but they're sleeve-wrapped instead of printed cans. There's a bit of warping going on and quite a lot of dents that you can see, but that should be fixed in the mass production because this was just the first run to get the shoot done. So we got coffee flavor. It's basically a mushroom oat latte. It's the same formulation as Rainbow Dust, but in a can, obviously. 250 skinny. I wanted to do a 330 stubby, which would be like the Poppy can here. But yeah, we couldn't do that because we're doing like less than a million cans. I think it's only 100,000 cans first run, which sounds like a lot, but it's not at all. Um, so yeah, that's where I want to get to. But this is— I'm filming. Yeah, one second. So yeah, coffee flavor, coffee caramel flavor. We'll come back to that later and do like a review or something, but that is what we're filming. One sec, might be the wrong mic. And this is the current first scene, quite a wavy little setup. Looking pretty wavy. Focus is on you, Chuck. This is our intern social media manager. He only has the job because, um, because she lives with me. What's the question? I need a haircut, to be fair. I'm always quite useless on these shoots. I basically just come over, say if it looks good or not, and then go and work in the corner, which is pretty much what I'm doing today. But I'm featuring in some stuff later as well, so I'll be on then. This is a different scene. I missed quite a few, but Brad's working his magic. The disgraced matcha product that we don't really talk about, but we are redoing that shortly. This is the new version. Different fashion scene going on here. Oh my gosh, fashion setup. I'm in the way here. All right, so day one shoot of RTD stuff. We honestly, we used to do shoots more regularly. I mean, we still do, do shoots. They're more like ad shoots. This is more like a hero campaign brand shoot, I guess. To be fair, I feel like we still used to do more of these back, like, I don't know, a fucking year or two ago. Um, yeah, anyway, then I went through a period of not really doing them, which was a bit weird, but then I decided in my new role I'm just leading on the products and brand stuff, which I kind of always was but less officially, that I should get involved again. So So anyway, we've been shooting for about 8 hours. I've been in quite a lot of stuff. My girlfriend was modeling a bit, she wanted to get involved. Then we had 2 external models, we got 2 other external models tomorrow, and I'm just doing a walk down this incredibly long barren garden. I think the people that own this Airbnb actually live here, so I'm not really sure where they are right now. Maybe they're too hungover. But yeah, it's a nice cozy gaff. Might go for a 10K run around here. In about an hour or two when we finish filming today. I have been filming fucking loads of ads as well myself, which I do anyway, but I actually probably need to do even more of. But we got a big new product coming, so that's more of a reason to do a fuckload of them. And yeah, I try and do a bit of work because I don't like fully lead these shoots. I'm just like here I was in like work that isn't at the shoot, but never gets that much done realistically because there's just lots of people around, lots of stuff going on. Yeah, that's day one pretty much. Nice cozy gaff, big barn extension on a more traditional house about an hour from London. It's kind of crazy what you can get for— they said it's £1.5 million online versus, you know, one bed flat in Battersea Power Station for the same price. Kind of mental. But yeah, product reveal, as I said, is we're going after this stuff. You know, RTD coffees, massive market. Not as big as energy drinks, but that may or may not be next. Obviously energy drinks like Red Bull, Red Bull Zero Sugar. Um, yeah, basically fuck all these. Space Goose RTD is the one we've been filming today. Like I said in a separate video, it's just rainbow dust essentially in a can. Slightly different formulation because you can't do cordyceps and so on, but the idea is it's The powder that everyone knows, the powder that we sold over a million units of in just Rainbow Dust alone in the past 3 and a half years or so, or 4 years, crazily, in a can. Slightly different, not calling it Rainbow Dust, it's essentially the Space Goods RTD, but it's an oat mushroom latte. So it's effectively Rainbow Dust without milk by default, because the market for black coffee RTDs, strangely in my opinion, is fucking tiny. Almost most, all almost all sales rather, are milky. A lot of them are oat milk. We decided to go with that. So yeah, got coffee and coffee caramel. I only got the one in hand right now. And yeah, it's very different format. I'm excited to launch it. I think the packaging's come out pretty good. Like I said in a separate video, which may or may not have come out by now, it's shrink-wrapped. So because it's only 100,000 unit first run instead of a million plus, which 100,000 is very small by the way, but that's intentionally because it's for the first part of a small first retail listing in Holland Barrett, which is like a few hundred stores, and then a few sampling bits. Then we have more coming on the way when there's other retail listings coming that will be bigger. Um, so yeah, that's the first run, which is why it's a 250 skinny rather than a 330 stubby like a Diet Coke or a Poppy can, which I would have preferred. It will also then be eventually a printed can because the issue with this— you can't really see on here, but but I'm very self-critical, but you know, there's some like warping issues with how the sleeve has gone on and it's dented quite a lot because it's not carbonated, but also because I don't know, something's gone on in production that hasn't been perfect. These are just sample ones for the shoot, in fairness, so the production run that's happening like next week for the launch should be better. But— Hi, Asiya. Are you coming back tomorrow or no? Yeah, tomorrow. Oh yeah, nice. Right, enjoy, enjoy the journey. I'll send you this content because I've just filmed loads of stuff. I'll put this in a Google Drive for you. I filmed loads of ads just now. Yeah, so I'll send you it tomorrow. Yeah, or I can just send it on Google. Yeah, so yeah, that's the RTD basically. First time doing a, you know, fully retail-first product. Obviously we led with Pouches, as everyone knows, Rainbow Dust pouch, that is our hero product even now. Then we did the sachets, which is like, it's never been like a huge number product for us, but obviously single serves, etc., etc., you get the fucking idea. And these also go in a retail box, which is the first retail-specific SKU in terms of when you can't buy D2C. And then obviously this is like, you know, the third in the lineup and the most retail-first product. It will be on DTC and Amazon as well, but yeah, that's pretty much the lineup in terms of format for now. You've got the 30-serve Hero subscription pouch, the single serve which you can get online and subscribe to as well. We're also launching a box of these in like 20 serves, which will be different, but this is also like a halfway retail and DTC product because this is in Tesco because the price point works at £9 for 7 versus this at £39, which doesn't fucking work in retail, quite frankly, unless it's Harner Barrett, which it's done very well in. And then obviously the RTD, lowest price point. Well, it's not the lowest price point for single serve actually, this will retail at £2.50. But yeah, it's a very different margin profile across this, this, and this, but they all serve different purposes in the business. So yeah, there we go. Hopefully it will be a big launch. I'm confident it will. And fucking hell, what's going on with this gimbal? Alright, shoot day 2 video. Today, this big fucker will be coming out again. I'll also be making a surprise cameo appearance a bit later on because deep down I want to be in movies. The original brand Movie Man and the RTDs I've now revealed. Yeah, beautiful. I really should have got a haircut before featuring in the RTD movie. I will do something with it. This is fucking not as bad. It's very much bed hair. We did— I did feature this, a sick fucking Ronaldo and Messi-inspired chess scene yesterday, photos which came out way better than I thought. I don't know what kit they're using these days, but these guys are fucking good. We've used them many, many times before. Always work with Jordan and Brad and his team. But yeah, day 2, I actually have more work to do today, some as in, in the shoot. So I'm trying to do some work when I'm not needed and then work in the shoot when I am needed. And then tomorrow we're back to London for one final stop before we go back to Dubai, the London Coffee Festival for 4 days. And I'm going on 3 different podcasts. So it's a surprisingly busy few days actually, away from just a desk for once, which is nice, but fuck me. Looking a bit rough. Just sort that one out. Alright, I'll catch you.
