Matthew Kelly explains why the skills that built your company won't scale it. Founders often can't delegate or give employees real ownership. He runs 15 people plus agencies with an MD handling operations and staff holding equity.
What got you here won't get you there. I think they just. People that don't get to the next level, I think have an inability to hire and properly delegate. But not just delegate, but, like, give people ownership of stuff. So now we have a, like I said, a team of 15 employees, plus, like, agencies. And I have an MD who's, I guess, in a way, like the operational CEO of the business. And all these people have bits of equity as well, so they are literally owners. But I think that helps give them, like, ownership in terms of their mindset.
