The speaker explains common mistakes in stretching during warm-ups and previews upcoming content on cool down and stretching techniques.
Alrighty, guys, in this module we're going to be talking about the warm up. Very obvious as to the reasons why you would need to warm up, but I'll go through a couple of, couple of them with you now. So it's obviously going to warm up your muscles by increasing the internal temperature. It's going to increase movement to the blood in the tissues, making the muscles more subtle. Increases your delivery of oxygen and nutrients to your muscles by increasing the blood flow, prepares the heart for an increase in activity, prepares you mentally for the upcoming exercise. Very, very important to be mentally ready for weightlifting especially. And there's a couple other ones as well, but I've put a brief description below as well with a couple of options and we'll go into the type of stretching that you need to do for a warmup as well, because a lot of people do the incorrect stretches to warm up, whereas they should be doing those stretches when they're warming down. So very common to mix those up. So stay tuned for the next coming videos, the cool down and also stretching. See you then.
