A VP advises building a quick AI prototype with a small team before pitching to leadership. Execute first, then use the working proof of concept to sell the project internally. Skip the politics and learn by doing.
Chapters
I think the time of AI is you try and demonstrate it could work before trying to build internal deck to sell the project to the rest of the team. At least thinking of this for VPs, because if you have a VP, you probably have a team, probably have other execs. So I would say, you know what, before like trying to do politics and trying to onboard other people on your project, just do it and get get someone to help you execute it, having like an Avenger type of team to do same sort of small 0 to 1 to prove it, then you will pitch it. So having this mentality of entrepreneur also is very important because everything is moving fast. If you spend 3 months just trying to convince your colleague, it's too late and the learning won't be there.
