Taste is a practical skill: how well a product does its job and beats alternatives. Judge software by whether it makes users more efficient, identify gaps, compare it against everything else. The same framework applies to go-to-market strategies.

What's your take on this? I think taste is becoming ever more important of a skill. I think it's always been the case that really, really high quality things stand out from the crowd. And high quality, I think it's important to mark, is not necessarily, or high status or high prestige, is not the same as having taste. So you can apply that very general framework to any domain that you want. So if we apply it to software and GTM, it is, taste is purely about in a software that's built to make you more efficient, how good is it at making you more efficient? How could it be better at making you more efficient? And how does it compare to everything else that's available to you out there? If it compares favorably on all those dimensions, then that's something that is built with very high taste because you're fulfilling the form or objective as easily as you want.
