10 Best Faceless YouTube Niches

In this instructional video, Matt Parr, a veteran of faceless YouTube channels, presents ten niche categories he predicts will thrive in the coming year. He walks through each niche—true crime, artificial intelligence, trail‑camera footage, 360° virtual‑reality, wealth & finance, travel, technology, documentaries, scary videos, and health—providing concrete channel examples, subscriber and view statistics, CPM estimates, and revenue potential. For each niche he notes the primary monetization method (usually ad revenue) and, where applicable, additional streams such as affiliate marketing and digital product sales. Parr also shares practical advice on production requirements (e.g., needing a 360° camera or animation skills), fair‑use considerations, and content strategies (e.g., mixing positive and negative travel reviews). He emphasizes that many of these niches can be monetized before YouTube’s partner program via affiliate links, especially in AI, wealth, travel, tech, and health. The video concludes with a brief promotion of his free training on “4 secrets for succeeding with faceless YouTube channels” and a plug for his Tube Mastery course.

I've been running faceless YouTube channels for nearly the past 10 years, and I found 10 of the best faceless YouTube niches that I believe are going to be huge this upcoming year. Starting with niche number 1, which is true crime. Now this is a niche that's been exploding recently, and I believe it's going to get even bigger in this new year. And to show you an example of a channel doing this, we can take a look at this channel called Explore With Us. They have 4 million subscribers and the channel pulls in 36 million views per month, which is honestly insane. At a $5 CPM, they would be making $180,000 per month just from ad revenue alone. So this niche is absolutely popping off right now. And specifically, what seems to be doing really well within this niche is talking about interrogations. As you can see, most of their videos right here are focused on that. If we go to the most popular, as you can see, most of these are interrogation videos. And to prove that this niche is really popping off right now and could potentially be a great idea, channels such as The Finest, which historically historically have done top 5 videos, as evidenced by most of their most popular videos right here, have recently transitioned to doing almost exclusively true crime related content. So I really believe that this niche is going to continue to get more and more popular. With that being said, if you do this niche, make sure to follow the guidelines of fair use and keep in mind the primary source of revenue within this niche will be ad revenue. So you do have to get quite a bit of views for this to be worth it, but I'm gonna be going over some more niches that don't even rely fully on ad revenue. Niche number 2 is AI, or artificial intelligence. This is absolutely booming right now, and I believe it's just gonna increase exponentially going into the new year right now. And I've had a bunch of students within my Tube Mastery and Monetization community who've had huge results by running AI channels and talking about things such as the best AI software and the best AI tools to do specific things, as well as even AI news. And as you can see, one of my students right here runs this channel called Debusters, and he makes videos like about the best AI video making software. He puts his affiliate links on those videos and makes over $10,000 per month from this. So you can monetize before you're ever even monetized on YouTube. And I believe this niche is pretty future-proof because this is only gonna become more popular in my personal estimation. There's always new tools coming out, always more improvements coming out related to this. So I think it can be a fantastic niche. And this isn't the only channel doing this. There's tons of different channels in different niches doing this. Having good success with it. Niche number 3 is trail camera videos. This is a bit of a unique one that's been popping off recently that's come to my awareness as part of my regular research into what's trending on YouTube. And I've seen a lot of channels like this one, Trail Terror, right here popping off, getting millions of views per month, just talking about different things that have been captured on trail cameras. And here's another channel called Creepy Cam, which does similar things. And as you'll notice, most of the focus on these videos is about scary subjects and they can do quite well. But keep in mind, primary revenue source will be revenue, but you can potentially get a lot of views. Niche number 4 is 360-degree virtual reality videos. This is a bit of unique one that's becoming more popular as more and more people get their hands on virtual reality headsets. And as the world progresses into that direction, channels producing this type of 360-degree content are setting themselves in a very good position. And think about it like this: given the fact that not everybody owns these headsets yet, and videos like this one right here have managed to still get over 140 million views, I think this proves the potential of this going forward with this into the future. Now in order to create faceless 360-degree content like this channel right here called 3D VR 360 Videos does, you would need either one, a 360-degree camera to film stuff, or number two, you would have to hire some editors to animate videos like this channel is doing right here. Is it worth 17 million views per month for doing that? I think so in my personal opinion, but it would be an investment going into there unless you had animation skills. And it seems like people are very interested in things like 360-degree water slide and roller coaster videos. Niche number 5 is wealth and finance. So as we've entered the new year, more and more people are looking for ways to make money online. On a recent survey, the most desired job profession of kids and teenagers was being a YouTuber. So as these people get older and actually start to pursue these paths, like I for example did, and I've made millions of dollars online with YouTube at this point, you can capitalize on that with a faceless YouTube channel that, for example, teaches people how to grow a YouTube channel, how to start making money online. And that's what I'm doing here on my personal channel. But you might be saying, Matt, but you're showing your face, you're getting in front of a camera filming videos. I thought this was supposed to be about the best faceless niches. And I actually started this channel, Make Money Matt, right here as a completely faceless channel. It was literally just screen recordings where I was showing how I made money online using YouTube. And I got to the point of making $27,000 per month with this channel without ever even showing my face. And you might be saying, Matt, isn't this niche getting saturated at this point? And in my opinion, saturation up to a certain degree can be very beneficial because you can get in the suggested video feeds of other popular videos. And also, out of all these videos going up within this niche, how many of them are actually decent that provide good information? Not many of them. So you can easily stand out within this niche just by doing a little bit of research, making a little bit better videos than all the other videos that are out there, and giving a little bit more value to people. And the way you give the most amount of value is you find multiple videos that have gone up related to a given topic Take the best parts of each video, incorporate them all into your video, and boom, yours will by definition be the best and most valuable. Niche number 6 is travel. So with travel opened up nowadays and with people being able to go all over the world, travel is booming right now and I think it will continue to do so throughout this year. I personally love traveling and just the other day I was spending a couple days in Costa Rica, which was awesome. And anytime I go to a new place, I always look up videos about that place so I can learn about it a little. The destinations out there are virtually endless and there's so many different combinations videos you can make about those destinations, about the best places to visit within a certain continent or country or city. There's so many different possibilities within this niche. And even though there is a lot of content out there related to travel, I do think there's a lot of opportunities coming up going into the next year. Channels like World According to Briggs do travel-related content and they get millions of views per month. And channels like that also incorporate negative videos within their content strategy, meaning they talk about the worst places to visit in addition to the best. And that seems to do really well for their channel. And if I personally made a channel, I would also do that strategy where you talk about both negative and positive subjects of different places in order to provide the end traveler who's watching that as much value as you can. Niche number 7 is technology. Just like AI, think about how many other advancements technologically are coming in the coming years. Channels like Tech Zone, for example, are capitalizing on this, making videos about ingenious inventions and cool gadgets. And they're pulling in 13 million views per month, which is obviously a lot. And then they translate Tech Zone into multiple different languages, so they're making even multiples on top of that. There's always new inventions coming out. This is a pretty high CPM niche, especially if you focus on mobile technology, for example, cell phones and stuff related to that, given some of the top advertisers are big cell phone companies. So on average, that type of content seems to make more money per 1,000 views. And overall, I think this is a really solid niche if you're considering running a faceless YouTube channel. Niche number 8 is documentaries. Dokumentaris. So with platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels popping off like crazy, people's attention spans have been getting shorter, and there's actually been a growing need for long-form content that people are interested in. So as short-form content's become more popular, there's actually been a growing amount of people who want to see a lot of great quality long-form content as well. And to prove that to you, channels like Magnates Media right here, for example, are doing better than ever, getting millions of views per month on their channel. And they produce long-form documentary-style content about tons of different subjects. Subjects. For example, how different businesses have started and the histories of some of the most prominent companies. Dark Docs is another channel that is doing just this with over a million subscribers. And as more and more people are canceling their cable bills and they're not gonna be watching documentaries on there, more and more people are going to platforms like YouTube to watch documentaries for free. So if you can produce long-form content on a topic that you are somewhat interested in, this could be an added bonus because you'll enjoy writing and talking about these sorts of subjects. On your faceless videos. Niche number 9 is scary videos. Channels like Nuke's Top 5 right here are doing incredibly good, pulling in almost 10 million views per month, creating videos on scary topics like ghosts and things that are just scary in general. And to be doing this well with only 277 videos is quite the accomplishment. It's taken a lot of my niche channels 500 or more videos to get to the point of getting 10 million views per month, so they're doing incredibly good. And this just shows that a lot of people are interested in this right now. And I think it's pretty evergreen, meaning you could continue to make a good amount of views from this. Now, that being said, with scary related content, the primary revenue source would be ad revenue. So you do have to get a lot of views, but as evidenced by this channel, it's certainly possible. Niche number 10, which I think is going to be huge this year, is the health niche. And channels like Body Hub right here are within the health niche, getting incredible amounts of views. They're pulling in almost 2 million per month. And what's crazy about their videos is that if we click to watch one of these right here, like this one about losing weight, as you can see, the background of these videos is literally just stock footage you could get on websites like Storyblocks or Pixabay. And it's literally just someone talking throughout the video, talking about, for instance, on this video, 10 cheap meals that melt belly fat. And one of the reasons why the health niche is so amazing is due to the fact that there's tons of products out there on places like clickbank.com or digistore24.com that you could promote as an affiliate and make even more money. And if we hop on back over to BodyHub and we click this link right here that they have on their channel, as you can see, they're selling a digital product for $27. And it says right here that 9,000 people have bought this product. So if we multiply that by $27, boom, they've made nearly a quarter of a million dollars just selling that digital product. Now, as a bonus, here's how you can make even more money doing this if you'd go with one of these niches. If you're going within the AI niche, make sure to sign up for the affiliate networks of all the different AI tools that you talk about and promote them from your videos, and you'll get people on monthly subscriptions for those software. And if you can refer people to software that pay monthly recurring commissions for a lifetime, you could potentially be making money for a long time into the future, as long as people stay subscribed. For the wealth and finance videos, also make sure to go to websites like Digistore24 and find courses to promote related to this. For example, my course Tube Mastery and Monetization is on Digistore24, available for people to sign up and promote, and we've paid out over $600,000 to affiliates. But there's tons of other programs to promote as well. If you do the travel travel niche, make sure to sign up for any pertinent affiliate network related to flights or hotels that fly to the destinations that you're talking about. And you could even sell a digital product or a digital guide teaching people how to travel for less money. If you do technology, check the Amazon affiliate program, see if any of the products you talk about are on there. If so, make sure to drop those links in the description. And of course, same goes with health. And those right there are the niches that you can monetize through multiple different ways, whereas the other niches like true crime, 360 videos, scary videos. Those are the ones that are going to require quite a bit of views in order to make decent money with this. But the reason I put them on this list is because they're exploding right now in terms of how much they're trending, and I believe they're going to be big this year and in coming years. And now if you don't want to start a channel on any of these topics, that's completely fine. And here's a list of 14 different evergreen high CPM niches that you can take a look at right here.
