This Hidden AI YouTube Niche Is BLOWING UP Right Now

In this video Matt Parr reveals a rapidly growing YouTube niche—long‑form documentaries about ancient human history—using the example channel Hominid History Hub, which amassed 86 million views and an estimated $0.5 M revenue within four months. He explains why the niche works (click‑bait thumbnails, dramatic hooks, educational value) and then walks viewers through a complete, low‑cost AI‑driven production pipeline. The pipeline includes: generating video ideas with Claude, crafting thumbnail prompts and images with Seedream via OpenArt, writing scripts with TubeMagic (leveraging Claude and a viral‑hook database), creating human‑like voiceovers with ElevenLabs, producing visuals by turning Seedream images into short videos with Klling AI, and editing the final video with free or cheap editors like CapCut, Shotcut, iMovie, or PowerDirector. Matt also shares cost estimates (e.g., $0.04 per thumbnail, $0.30 per 10‑second video), tips for staying advertiser‑friendly, and advice on variation, accuracy, and scaling (using VidAI for faster production). The video ends with a brief mention of other profitable niches and further monetization ideas.

I just found the craziest YouTube channel ever that's getting millions of views per month that was made only 4 months ago. They only have 53 videos on the channel, yet the channel has 86 million total views, and none of it's from Shorts. It's all just long-form content. Now, my estimate based on between a $5 and a $10 RPM, which is how much a channel makes per 1,000 views, would be that this channel has made half a million dollars in just a few months. This is one of the craziest niches I've ever seen, that's blowing up right now, and then also share with you how you can make videos that look identical to theirs using only AI. So the niche is ancient human history, and the channel is this channel right here called Hominid History Hub. And they upload videos like Life 4.7 Million Years Ago, How Did Prehistoric Humans Survive to Sustain Life? And every video is around 8 to 16 minutes long, and they've uploaded 13 videos already that have over a million views. So you might be saying, Matt, why is this niche blowing up so much right now? Well, first things first, the thumbnails are incredibly clickable. There's a lot going on in here. Like, here's an ancient human family getting chased by a snake. So you're hitting the documentary audience, so people who are interested in history, as well as people who want to know the history of humans in specific millions of years ago. And even if you weren't necessarily interested in this subject in particular, these videos definitely make you want to click. Like, here's a bunch of people in a tree while a bear is trying to get them. This one definitely really makes you think, like, why is this guy sleeping in an eagle's nest? With this one, you want to know what's going to happen between this guy and the hyena. And then if we go ahead and watch one of these videos right here, they have one of the best hooks I've ever seen. It literally starts with a snake going around this guy. So it makes you wonder what's gonna happen here. So after the intro, then it just kind of goes through different aspects of life, especially incredibly dramatized ones that really makes people want to watch. But there is a problem with this channel that I would personally change. One thing I would make sure to add would be a voiceover going over what is exactly happening, giving additional context. But I would be showing the same exact things, and I would be keeping it very dramatized to try to keep people watching as long as possible. To make this as easy as possible for you, I put together this prompt sheet right here that you can get access to down at the link in the description of this video. And you can use this for completely free. And basically I have a bunch of different prompts for how to generate these exact types of videos, doing it the best way that YouTube is going to be okay with. Because you don't want to make every single video too similar and too repetitious because YouTube doesn't love content like that. But what they do love is educational-based content that's giving a lot of value. So I'll show you how to do that while still keeping people watching. Just like this channel is doing. So first things first, we're going to need some video ideas for running a channel like this. So I put together a prompt right here that you can use. If you just copy this prompt, then you can head on over to the LLM of your choice. I prefer Claude. I think it's incredibly good and I like it a little bit more than ChatGPT due to the fact that it writes a little bit better and it seems more like human writing than ChatGPT in my opinion. So if we put in this prompt right here, it's going to give us 10 different video ideas similar to these video ideas. Right here that was taken from that channel. And we put in that it's about a prehistoric human history channel. Here's a bunch of different ideas. First of all, we have the first tools, how early humans turned stones into survival. That's an incredible one. We have getting shelter, hunting for fire, social bonds, getting water, claiming their place in the food chain. That could be a really good one right there. I really like that one. And you have to think of each of these ideas as what thumbnail is going to accompany each of these ideas. You can ask Claude for some ideas with that too. So if we jump back over here, let's say we wanted to do this one, scavenger or hunter. We'll put in that and we'll say, give me some thumbnail prompts for the thumbnail of this video. And so now we have some thumbnail prompts right here. So it's mostly showing humans as the top of the food chain for these first two prompts. But this one I really like, a bunch of dangerous predators with early humans in the distance. That's really good because it's a sense of danger. And anytime you can have any type of emotion in your thumbnails, that's definitely something that you want to do. So the next thing is we'll generate a thumbnail then for this video idea. And to do that, we'll simply go ahead and we'll copy this prompt. And for the thumbnail, we're going to be using Seedream. I think Seedream is the absolute best image generation model out right now, and I've used them all. The way we'll access it is through a website called OpenArt, and I'll have links to all the different tools and websites that I use in the description of this video. So if we open up OpenArt, we can go in, add in the prompt right there, and then we're going to want to select widescreen because you YouTube thumbnails are a 16:9 format. Select 4K, and I like to generate 4 at a time. It is going to use a few credits to do that. Now it comes out to just around $0.04 per image. Well worth it if you're running a channel that could potentially make so much money. I view this as an investment. We'll click Create right here, and there we go. Now we got some images. I think this one honestly is really good. You can definitely see the emotion on their face. Now, if I was doing this, I would go ahead and I would generate like 20, 30 different images and then choose the best one from those. I might also ask it to make him look a little bit more scared, have a little bit more emotion on his face for these. But these look pretty dang good. These are honestly pretty good and pretty similar to what that channel is doing and getting millions of views and probably making a ton of money. Next up then, we're going to need a script. So I put together a script prompt for you to use right here. You can use the model of your choice for this. My personal preference is TubeMagic, which is a software that I personally made for YouTube. And so I'm going to paste in the prompt right there. And our prompt is documentary about prehistoric humans and their struggle to survive. Use vivid storytelling and make people watch as long as possible, keeping people captivated. Focus on the most dramatic moments of early human survival, cutting to new ones very often. We want to keep people's attention, so we want to be constantly focused on the most dramatic things. And then we'll also put the title of the actual video, paste that in right there. And then if we're recreating a video that's already been done, we can also then go ahead and put in some YouTube context links right here. That allows you to then take the best moments from those videos, putting it into your own. But we're going to leave that empty right here, and we're just going to do the prompt. And what TubeMagic will do— and the reason I prefer using it is due to the fact that it's going to run it through the viral hook database, the value loop structure, the payoff structuring, and basically ways of structuring your scripts to keep people watching as long as possible. That's going to help you get as many views as possible. Then from there, we're going to select a word count. Now it looks like 8 to 16 minutes works really well in this niche. So I think we're going to do an 8-minute video right there. And as you can see, we use Claude in the backend. So you can just use Claude directly if you want, but it's not going to write the script using all these best practices if you do that. So that's why I prefer to use TubeMagic. We'll enter it right there. Let the script generate. And now we have our script being written. And this is a fantastic intro. Picture this: a small group of early humans crouched behind jagged rocks, their hearts pounding as they watched a massive saber-toothed cat tearing into its fresh prey. This is very vivid and it definitely evokes emotion even just listening to that. And then we'll have our visuals on top of that. It's going to look really good. Then, as you can see, it switches scenes very often like we asked it to. So then it switches here saying, imagine being 4 feet tall, no claws, no fangs, no natural armor, stepping into a world dominated by creatures that could crush you without effort. Massive hyenas the size of modern bears patrol these lands. So it's a very documentary style like we asked it to be, and that's going to definitely help us. From here then, we're going to copy this script and then we'll head to our next AI tool, which I have on the prompt sheet, which will be linked in the description, which is ElevenLabs. Now ElevenLabs is the best voiceover software. It sounds indistinguishable from human voices. But don't just use the voices that everybody else uses. You want your video to stand out. So I recommend either cloning your own voice or finding a less used voice on ElevenLabs. Now my voice is on ElevenLabs. If you want to use it, feel free. Be my guest. I put it on there. I just read through hours of Wikipedia pages basically, and it literally sounds indistinguishable for me. So if we open it up right here, we're going to want to go to the studio because the studio allows you to put longer scripts like the one that we have. And then we will do a new blank project, audio project. And I've got my voice on ElevenLabs right here. And then we'll go ahead and we will paste in our script from here. Then as you can see, it estimates that it will be about an 8-minute video, which is perfect. And that's exactly what we estimated. And then from there we can go ahead and we can export this file. So we're going to want to select WAV file, that'll be the highest quality, single file, and then click export. This will then export it. We can then save it to our computer. And while that's loading, let's start gathering visuals for all the different elements of our script. Now in order to do that, I'm going to give you the cheapest, best way of generating the best quality AI videos. And no, it is not Sora 2. Sora 2, you're going to be paying like $6 per 12-second video. VO 3.1, you're going to be paying like a dollar per 10-second video. That's way too much. Don't spend that much money doing this. Instead, we're going to be using two tools that'll save you a ton of money. And the first one is that SeaDream tool. And then we will go ahead and we'll animate the images that it gives us. This will then give us videos that look equal in quality to something from Google Veo or Sora2, in my opinion, from what I've seen. And it looks incredibly good. Let me prove it to you. So this is the prompt we're going to use. We have a vast prehistoric world that is taking place millions of years ago. The atmosphere is prehistoric. This will keep everything looking consistent as we generate more. It'll keep the landscape consistent. And then we have the part of the script we're generating for is, and then you're just going to insert the part of the script that you're generating for right here. So for us, that's going to be this first paragraph right here. So I copy pasted it into this. Then we will copy this. We will head back on over to OpenArt. We will paste this in as a prompt. Remember to keep it widescreen. Click Create. Okay, now we have a few images generated. And while these look incredibly good and honestly a little bit too realistic, that's kind of an issue due to the fact that there is a bit of violence in this and that it's showing an animal that got tore up right here. And we don't really want that in the video because we want to make sure that YouTube doesn't demonetize our content as being not applicable to the most amount of people. So we want to make sure our content's advertiser friendly. The way we can do this is to edit the prompt a little bit. So instead of doing a massive saber-toothed cat tearing into fresh prey, We'll do a massive saber-toothed cat stalking them just a few meters away because 50 is a lot. So we'll go stalking them a few. There we go. And we will generate some more there. And now these are looking very good. This one right here looks absolutely incredible. That is stunning. What we'll do then is we'll go ahead and we'll download this image. Now for the video generator, we're going to be using Klling AI. Klling AI is the absolute best for its pricing. It only will cost you around $0.30 for a 10-second 1080p video. So it's very cost-effective. And honestly, when you do this combo of Seedream plus Klling, you will have videos that look just as good as the other best video generators out there. In fact, I think this is one of the best combos out there. So let's take a look at it. What we're going to do is we're going to open Klling, go to image to video, upload our image right there. And then in the prehistoric prompt sheet, I have a Klling prompt that you can use. Documentary style, add motion to the video with, and then you'll fill in the blank from the rest. We'll say with the saber-tooth tiger walking slowly up to them menacingly, and they back up scared slowly, and we'll put the people back up scared slowly. There we are. We'll keep sound effects on because that's free, so might as well have it. We'll select a 10-second video, making sure to use Video 2.5 Turbo because that is the best model right now. We'll go ahead and we will click Generate, and then this will be generating right here. It takes around 3 minutes for it to generate, so we'll let that go. Now, I just generated another image of them getting chased by a snake for the intro sequence right here. Put it into Kllng documentary style, add the following motion of the snake chasing them and they're running away from it, handheld shot. We'll generate that. Then we have another image of an insect right here, which looks kind of crazy. So we'll go ahead and download that. And the next part of the script is about the early human ancestors walking from trees into the desert for the first time. And this is the first time humans walked upright. So we have right here a nice image representing that. The prompt for this was make the difference between the landscapes dramatic, friends, some climbing trees and some slowly walking onto the desert. and it gave us an incredible image. So we'll go ahead and download that and we'll animate it. All these honestly look incredibly good. This one has a volcano in the background, which looks awesome. So we'll go ahead and download these and then animate them with Klinger. And now here are the videos that we had generated from Klinger for the intro sequence. Just take a look at how good these videos look. They're absolutely perfect for what we're looking for, for this. Tons of emotion in them. They look very realistic and they look documentary style. And that is exactly what we're looking for. Now, to edit these together, we don't want to spend on some expensive video editor. My recommendation is to use CapCut. I think it's the editor out there. But if you're looking for free options, my recommendations are Shotcut if you're on Windows or iMovie if you're on Mac. And if you're using a phone, I would recommend the PowerDirector mobile app. This is what CapCut's interface looks like. And then we can go ahead and import our clips by clicking here. And now that our clips are in, we're going to start with dragging our voiceover from ElevenLabs onto the timeline. Then we'll play through and hear what the script is talking about at this point. Picture this: a small group of early humans crouched behind jagged rocks. Listen how real that sounds, by the way. That literally sounds exactly like me, indistinguishable from a real human voiceover. So it's talking about the saber-toothed tiger. So we'll drag in the saber-toothed tiger clip right there that corresponds to it. We can also zoom in on this timeline, which is nice as well, by doing that. Now let's take a look right here. Picture this: a small group of early humans crouch behind jagged rocks. That's good. The sound effects are pretty good as well with the tiger breathing there. That sounds really good. But if the sounds are ever too loud in terms of sound effects, you can go ahead and go on over to this line right here You can change the track height then to tall so you can view it a little bit easier. Then drag this line down a little bit so it's not too loud and you can still hear the voiceover all right. Now let's take a look. Picture this. A small group of early humans crouch behind jagged rocks, their hearts pounding as they watch a massive saber-toothed cat tear into fresh prey just 50 meters away. I think that's pretty good. I think I'm gonna take out the part about tearing into fresh prey because it doesn't really talk about that. So we'll go right here and we'll select just the voiceover clip. Then we'll go ahead and select split, and then we'll skip over that part right there. Go to here, click split again, go here, click delete on our keyboard, drag that clip back. Now that corresponds to it perfectly. Then we'll drag this clip to be a little bit shorter here, and we'll go to our next clip in the sequence, which will be humans running from a giant snake. There we go. Now this is way too loud, as we can see right here. So we'll drag this way down so it's barely audible. We want the voiceover as clear as possible. Then we'll go to transitions and we'll select the mix transition and we'll drag it between these. I think the mix transition is honestly the best. It's just a simple crossfade. You don't want anything too crazy for transitions. Let's take a look at this. Cat, this was life 4.7 million years ago where every single day was a battle between survival and extinction. That's really good. Then we'll go ahead and we'll split this here. Go back to our media and we'll select another clip. Let's do the one of the giant insect here. Do the same thing. Welcome to the most dangerous period in human history where our ancestors lived on the razor's edge between predator and pray. Today we're diving deep into the most— now right here our script is talking about venturing out onto the desert for the first time, so we'll drag the clip that corresponds to that and again do a simple crossfade transition for that. And it's the Mix transition right here. Drag it down, we don't want that fade to be too long. Play through this clip a little bit to about right there, looks good. You can also click Ctrl+B on your keyboard or Command+B if you're on Mac to split the clip as a keyboard shortcut and click Delete. Makes editing very fast. Another nice keyboard shortcut I really like with CapCut is the ability to just click the letter W on your keyboard and it'll end the clip there. So if I click W, it just ends the clip right there. I love that. You can also click Q if you want to start the clip in a certain point as well. So it's very worth learning the keyboard shortcuts because it'll save you so much time. And then we'll select our next clip of them walking right here. And again, just one more transition right there. And you'll basically just go through and do this entire script. We're already 30 seconds into the video. That took me maybe a minute. So say you can complete full videos along with generating all the images and everything in about an hour, and that could potentially be well worth your time seeing how many views some of these videos get. Now, I personally wouldn't put music on these types of videos due to the fact that I think that kind of drowns out the realism of this. I think having just the sound effects from Klling really adds to the realism of this whole video. When we're done with the video, then we're just going to go to export right here. We're going to want to make sure to export this as 1080p so we get that full quality that we generated the video as. H.264 is the best format. And then we will click export. And now our full YouTube video is done. Let's take a look at it right here. Picture this. A small group of early humans crouch behind jagged rocks, their hearts pounding as they watch a massive saber-toothed cat. This was life 4.7 million years ago, where every single day was a battle Between Survival and Extinction. Welcome to the most dangerous period in human history, where our ancestors lived on the razor's edge between predator and prey. Our story begins in the unforgiving landscapes of ancient Africa, where early hominids faced their first life or death choice: remain safe in the trees or venture onto the deadly savanna where giants ruled. This is incredibly good, and these visuals honestly, I think, are even a little bit better than that example channel we were looking at. Now, if you wanted to edit these videos even faster, you could use my AI tool called vid. AI, which can generate full 20-minute YouTube videos. Just make sure to occasionally put an AI-generated visual through Klinger on there because it's going to primarily use stock videos, so it might not always find the perfect stock footage, but more often than not it will. But occasionally, especially in the intro of the video, make sure to put in some AI visuals from Klinger as I showed you how to do. And VidAI makes that super easy, being able to import them to there. Then for uploading these videos, you can use TubeMagic. We will instantly optimize your video with a great title description, and set of tags automatically for you. My biggest tip if you're going to do this niche is to make sure that not every video is about the same exact topic. Make sure to vary the topic so you don't get hit with repetitious content. Make sure to have a human voiceover as well and make it very educational. Make sure the facts are accurate as well of whatever you're talking about. Now, obviously having a giant insect chasing them isn't necessarily historically accurate, but as long as the script is, I think that's very good. The visuals can be a dramatization. And also feel free to get creative with this as well. Think of all the periods throughout human history and prehistory that you could do. You could do a channel about dinosaurs, you could do a channel about medieval times and knights and kings. There's so many different possibilities for time periods that you could make entire channels around just like this. Now if you use VidAI, the voice will be built in directly into it, so you don't need an ElevenLabs subscription then. And here are all the required tools that I went over in this video. Again, all of these will be linked down in the document below this video, as well as the prompt guides and everything else. And now as good as this niche is, and the fact that a channel probably made half a million dollars literally within a few months is incredible. But most channels are not going to do that. And honestly, I do not think that this is the best niche that you could possibly do on YouTube. You might be saying, Matt, what niche could possibly be better than this? Well, I actually go over the niches I actually recommend right now, as well as how to monetize this to the next level to potentially make a lot more money from your channel, even than channels like this. I know you might be saying, Matt, that sounds absolutely absurd. But I back it all up in this video next to me right here. Feel free to check it out. My name is Matt Parr. I hope you got a ton of value in this video, and I will see you there.
