Hey, are you feeling overwhelmed by the thought of another year whizzing past with no significant progress on your goals or in your life? Well, what if I told you there is a simple 4-step framework that'll help you not only review the year that you've had, but better preview and make progress on the year to come? Because here's the thing, I don't want December 31st and January 1st to sneak up on you without a clear picture of what you want in the new year. This isn't just about New Year's resolutions either. It's about defining a clear path and a future that you're excited about. This video will help you start building momentum today for your best year to come. And what you're going to learn is my 4-step WRAP framework, which stands for Wins, Results, Alignment, and Pivot. Real quick, this is a 2-part video. So in this part, I'm going to be giving you the framework and talking about how it applies to your life and how you can use it. In the second part of this video, it's going to be more personally like a review for my year. And so that is going to be a little bit more reflective personally, but. You can watch that and just get a little bit of an idea of how I think through this. You'll hopefully learn a little bit from me, but that is part 2. Let's get into part 1. Hey, real quick, if you want a really simple, printable, easy-to-follow template for this wrap review, all you have to do is click the link in the description below. You'll go to a site, you just enter your email so then I can send you the PDF. It's really simple, easy to do. I mean, obviously you can just look at like This is, you know, 4 sections over 2 pages in the Bullet Journal. But if you want this and also like a couple of follow-up emails just to kind of coach you and encourage you through the wrap review process, click the link in the description below. Okay, back to the video. Step number 1 in the wrap is wins. You want to celebrate your accomplishments. You want to give yourself credit for the things that went well this year. If you're an ambitious, you know, person like myself who always is kind of looking for the next thing to pursue and get better at, it runs the risk of not being able to appreciate what has already gone well. So I want you to take some time and really think about in your career, in your family, in your personal life, in your spiritual life, things that went well for you, things that you would call wins. And don't always like think of it as like, well, what is a really big thing that happened? It could be a little thing that maybe you set an intention for at the beginning of this year and you followed through on it. That's what your wins are. This is helpful because when you understand those wins, it gives you a sense of accomplishment and momentum as you prepare for next year. Because then you look at and say, I already had all these big wins in the last year, and now I know that I'm the kind of person who can have even bigger wins going into the new year. Okay, step 2 is looking at the results of the year. And this is why it's good to do a weekly review every year, because now I can go back to my 2024 year interview and my 2024 goals video and look at it and see, okay, what were my goals? What were the things that I intended to do? What kind of progress did I make? What were the results of the intentions and the goals that I set? Just as a little preview, I can let you know that one of the results that I had that was also a big win is that I hit my revenue goal for this year. That was awesome. One of the things that I didn't hit was my YouTube subscriber goal. I wanted to get to 150,000 subscribers this year. I'm going to maybe get to 120, probably more like 115. So way off, way off. But then I get to look at it and see, okay, if these were my results, now let me assess, let me review it. And the thing that I want you to think about, I've talked about this in a ton of videos, is approaching your results section, especially as a reporter instead of a judge. So I'm just plainly looking at what were my goals and intentions at the beginning of the year? What were the results? I'm just looking at it like a reporter, jotting things down in my notebook. Instead, what a lot of us do, and it creates negative momentum, is that we look at it like a judge, like, ah, how dare you, you didn't do the thing that you said you were going to do. So when you look at your results, approach it like a reporter, instead of a judge. You'll do much better and you'll be able to better understand how you can better pivot going into next year. But we're getting, getting ahead of ourselves a little bit. Okay. Now that we've looked over our wins and our results, step 3 is alignment. Because you really want to think about, is the life that I'm living the kind of life that I want? Okay. Now that we've looked at our wins and our results, we're moving on to step 3, which is alignment. Where you're asking yourself quite literally, am I aligned? Am I connected to the kind of life that I want to be living, the kind of person that I want to be? For me, the kind of husband and father that I want to be. As you start to look back through the year and the wins and the results offer you like a good starting point for this is you're asking, what do I need to hold on to or let go of? What are the things that I have been doing that are no longer serving me, that are not in alignment with the the kind of person that I want to be with, the kind of work that I want to be doing, and what has gone well. What do I want to continue to do more of? When you do this, you're creating more mental space and actual, like, physical energy to be able to let go of something that isn't serving you while being able to have the clarity and intention to pursue more of the work, habits, routines, you know, just people that you feel aligned with, that you feel connected with, that you want to spend more of your life doing and being around. Now I will say real quick that the alignment piece is probably the most like woo-woo touchy-feely of these. And I think that's a good thing because wins and results are like very structured. They're very analytical. It's like what went well? What were the results? Let me measure this up. Alignment is like I, I would go for a walk. When you do this, I would go in a place where you you don't feel as like sucked into the tech or even your notebook or like your normal routine. You need to give yourself space to think about, am I being the person? Am I doing the work that I'm meant to be doing that I want to be doing that I can feel aligned with? This is not something that you probably have to take a break and do the alignment piece in a specific place where you can feel a little bit more free and open. Okay, the fourth and final step of the wrap review is to pivot. You can also think of this as progress. So either what do I need to like kind of change direction on a little bit? And you can see like all of this kind of stacks. I wanna know what the wins are so that I can build momentum and feel really good. I want to know the results are so that I can be honest with myself about where things went well or went wrong. And then I want to think, am I in alignment with the kind of person that I wanna be, with the work that I wanna be doing? And when I know all of those things, I can think about, okay, what needs to pivot? What needs to change? Or I can also think of this as saying like, okay, what things do I need to keep making progress on? Like for me, there's kind of a pivot progress when it comes specifically to YouTube, I need to pivot more of my time into YouTube if I want to hit the goals that I have. And I need to make sure that the progress that I did make on YouTube this year, higher view counts, better metrics, way better titles and thumbnails, a lot of things went much better for me on YouTube this year. But I didn't have the consistency. And I didn't have the new subscribers that I was shooting for, like the monthly average views that I was shooting for. So I need to pivot more of my time while continuing to make more progress on the types of videos that I'm making. This also provides a really good starting point for the goal setting that you're going to do for the new year. And that's going to be yet another video for me. So make sure it's going to be when it's ready, it's going to be linked on the end screen and in the description below. In fact, at the start of this, because the new next year's goal setting video isn't ready yet, I'm going to link to last year's just so that you can have a starting point. But I have this system called OMG, so it's outcomes, milestones, and goals. We'll talk all about that in the video. But when you're thinking about, okay, what I want to pivot to, what kind of progress do I need to make, what additional plans do I need to make going into the new year, That's where you do the wrap review first, because if you don't know where you've been, it's really hard to make a good plan for where you want to go.
