ChatGPT's new image model generates surprisingly realistic images. Riley Brown created a book cover with a working barcode, Justine Moore made a comic-book illustration, and Mark generated a full newspaper page with readable text. The quality jump is significant.

GPT Image 2 is now the top dog. Interestingly, their website announced it fully in images. The whole thing is written up on top of images. My buddy Riley Brown here posted this video on X. He asked it to generate an image of the book Good to Great. The barcode on the book should scan to the actual book. Riley then used a barcode scanner on his phone here to scan the barcode, and look at that, it actually took him to the book Good to Great. Like, that was super impressive. Justine Moore here showed this comic book image. I really like I like the aesthetic. Like the colors look really, really good. Bo Wang here showed an image with a complete cell. I mean, I'm pretty sure that's the nucleus. That looks right to me. Plasma membrane. Like this looks like a membrane to me. I'm too dumb to know if this is actually what it's supposed to be, but it looks really impressive. Mark here generated this image of a newspaper with a lot of dense text and I'm not sure, but the news might be accurate. The amount of dense text that made it onto the image and it's all coherent and readable. That's what impresses me. Most about this.
