Okay, today I'm going to show you how to set up affiliate links using a referral program. Basically what you see Here is my ClickBank account. There's this ebook here called the Six Day Weekend that I really like to promote. It's a make money online ebook, but I've used some of the techniques in it and they've worked for me in the past. So the first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to create a hop link for.
This product. I'll enter my ClickBank nickname here and give it a tracking ID. Six day works for me.
And then what I'll do is I'll.
Throw this little affiliate link here into Notepad.
As you can see, that's a pretty unattractive link there.
People are going to see that down here in the bottom of their screen and realize right away that it's an affiliate link. And they'll also realize that it's clickbank. And there are some people out there that are pretty unethical and what they'll do is they'll throw their own name in front of the code and get the code themselves. So here's what we're going to do. We're to going, going to log into our WordPress dashboard. I'm going to do that now.
And we're going to install a plugin. So we're going to scroll down to plugin and add new.
And we're looking for a plugin called Go Codes. All one word, no space. Go Codes. Go ahead and search for that plugin.
And it will bring this screen up here. You're going to go ahead and install this plugin.
Install now.
And then we're going to go ahead and activate the plugin.
Okay, so let's make sure that worked right.
Right here. There it is. Okay, so it's installed. So now it's going to throw the go codes under your tools here. You're going to go into your tools, click on go Codes.
And now you can create a redirect. So I'm going to this link that I just created inside of ClickBank, I'm going to copy it and I'm going to paste it into here.
Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to give it a keyword that that's what people are going to see when they're, when they look in their taskbar down at the bottom. So let's just call this one Six Day.
Weekend.
Then I'm going to click this little button here because this will actually track how many times people click on my new link that I just created, then I'm going to go ahead and add redirect.
And see what that did here was it made this URL here.
So that looks a lot more eye pleasing and you can't even tell that it's a clickbank URL. So now I could go ahead and take this new URL, post it into notepad and use this URL when I'm linking to things on my website. Now what will happen is when people click on this link, what it's going to do is if you can see up here in this taskbar, up in my URL bar up here, if I go ahead and go to this link, it will just redirect them to the hop link that I just created with ClickBank. So it's really just that simple. It's as simple as installing this go code plugin and filling in your affiliate link. You can do that with as many links as you want and it'll keep track of how many times that link is clicked. And people won't be able to sneakily change their clickbank ID or people won't be able to tell that they're about to go to an affiliate site. So go ahead and start using that. That'll probably help. It'll help deter people from ignoring your link because they think it's an affiliate link. So go ahead and check that.
