Nvidia, Google And Some WILD AI Video Technology

Matt Wolfe reports from the Bay Area after attending Nvidia's GTC in San Jose and GDC in San Francisco. He summarizes Jensen Huang's GTC keynote as enterprise-focused (enterprise GPUs, AI for wireless networks) and says he will record a deeper follow-up episode with Nathan on the Next Wave podcast.

I'm up in San Francisco right now. I spent the last several days down in San Jose for Nvidia's GTC conference and then I came up to San Francisco because I wanted to go to the GDC conference. I also was meeting with some friends companies up here. So I've been to all sorts of AI related events all over the sort of Bay Area in Silicon Valley this week and there has been a ton of news that has come out. But because I'm not at my normal computer, this episode is going to be a little bit more of like a rapid fire episode where I'm just going to quickly break down all of the news that that came out and well, let's just start with Nvidia because that's what's been top of mind for me. I spent the last three days with Nvidia. Jensen Huang gave a keynote during Nvidia gtc. Breaking down all of what Nvidia has been up to, most of it was like beneficial for enterprise companies. It wasn't really the consumer side that they were talking about during gtc, but nonetheless the keynote was held in a sports arena with tens of thousands of people in it. And it is absolutely insane to see the crowds that Jensen Huang pulls out when he does these events. Now I'm not going to get too deep into what they discussed. I'm going to actually make an episode with Nathan for the Next Wave podcast where we deep dive all about my experiences at GTC and gdc. You'll learn all about what I learned there and we'll dive a little bit more into what Nvidia is doing. But for the majority of people, I don't think there was a ton of news that came out of that GTC keynote that's really gonna like wow you or say wow, this changes everything. Jensen did lay out the next four years of what they're planning on doing. Basically showing off the various like enterprise GPUs that they're gonna be putting out so that companies that want to leverage Nvidia's technology can sort of pre plan what they're going to need to do based on what Nvidia is going to be releasing. There were a few things that I found really fascinating. They're starting to use more AI in the wireless networks. We can see here. Nvidia aerial expands with new for building AI native wireless networks. Again, this is more like enterprise level technology that they're talking about here. But at the end of the day what it means is that.
