I just got back from Microsoft Build out in San Francisco and there was a ton of announcements. They announced 7 new models developed in-house at Microsoft AI. They built a new thinking model, which is their new flagship reasoning model. They also introduced a new coding model, MAI-Code-1 Flash. It's more accurate and uses quite a bit less tokens than Claude Haiku 4.5. They also announced a new ultra-efficient Flash variant. It is still ranked number 2 in image editing, only very slightly being beat out by GPT Image 2. They also announced a new transcription model, MAI Transcribe 1.5, and it's currently the best transcription model in the world. And they announced MAI Voice 2, which is a speech generation model that works across 15 languages. We can get a little sample of what this is capable of.
So I was just standing there, right? And then— oh my God, she actually said it to his face.
Microsoft is also getting into the agent game. They introduced Microsoft Scout, except now Microsoft is giving OpenClaw direct access into like all of the Microsoft products and direct access to literally manage Windows for you. Like it operates across cloud, desktop, and web connecting to Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint, including chats, email, calendar, and contacts.
