Someone posted an actual Monet painting labeled as AI-generated art, and X users trashed it as soulless and fake. The backlash exposed how people judge art by the AI label rather than what they're actually seeing.
So this account put this image up on X and said, I just generated an image in the style of a Monet painting using AI. Please describe in as much detail as possible what makes this inferior to a real Monet painting. Now, the funny thing is, this is a real Monet painting. They just said that they generated it and they added the made with AI tag, which is just a checkbox in X. You just check a made with AI box and it adds that to it, even if it wasn't really made with AI. And pretty much everybody on X explained why it didn't look like a Monet at all and how it lacked soul and how you can see that the colors weren't the same as what Monet would've used and all sorts of just like negative comments and giant descriptions about why this art is actually soulless. When in reality, it was literally a real Monet.
