Why is the most recognizable name in all of AI freaking out right now? In a memo to staff this week, Sam Altman announced a Code Red, which is apparently like their highest internal urgency level. They're deprioritizing almost everything that's not chatgpt, like their agent features, their Pulse feature. And the company wants to shift all of their resources around and focus on improving ChatGPT because like, the competition has gotten really crazy lately. Just recently, as of the recording this video, Google dropped Gemini 3 one of the most anticipated models of the year and it blew people's minds. Marc Benioff, the CEO of Salesforce, said, I've used ChatGPT every day for three years. I just spent two hours on Gemini 3 and I'm not going back. This leap is insane. Personally, I actually think OpenAI models have regressed a little bit. This may just be me, I don't know for sure, but Personally I've noticed ChatGPT becoming less and less accurate lately. I feel like OpenAI decided they wanted to build a killer product that would get a lot of users and keep people on their platform when they should have been focused on making more and more capable models. And I think Sam is finally seeing that for himself. And course correcting.
