This is a YouTube video titled "Dribbble SELLS to Metalab" containing a monologue or commentary from January 19, 2017, discussing the surprising business decision of Dribbble selling a majority stake to Metalab and Andrew Wilkinson's acquisition strategy. The speaker reflects on the implications from a business owner perspective, expressing curiosity and surprise about the equity sale.
Lets talk about this whole Dribble got bought by Metalab thing. It's not that I'm upset about it or anything, it's more just surprised and confused from the Dribble side of things. I totally get why Andrew Wilkinson would buy Dribble. I mean, I think it was a genius move on his part and not to be. It's not so unexpected considering that he's already bought Designer News and now owns Dribble. It's just really strange to me that Dribble would sell the majority stake. I don't know, maybe I've just been watching too much Shark Tank lately. As a business owner myself, in which I own 100%, I just couldn't imagine giving up so much equity. Definitely cause for speculation and curiosity. Not in a bad way, just in a wow, that was completely unexpected kind of way. You know what I mean.
