This is a YouTube video titled "Hiiiyahhh" containing a personal vlog-style monologue recorded around January 10, 2017. The speaker shares updates about their day, including filming a tutorial on scalable and reusable components in Sketch for UI design, managing family activities, and working on a desktop app project. The content is informal and aimed at engaging viewers with upcoming tutorials and design process insights.
It is Tuesday, January 10th and this is my third. This is my third feel weird without my accessories on. I took them off earlier tonight when I was fighting with my kids. We had the karate weapons out. It's 8:40 right now. All the kids are in bed, so I'm being trying to be a little bit quiet. Went into the office today to shoot a sketch tutorial on how to use symbols and nested symbols and overrides for scalable and reusable components for UI design. And I did record that and I'm going to be posting that in a separate video because I thought if people are subscribing and they're following along to the vlogs, this particular tutorial, I'm going to make it as short as I can, but it's going to be. It's going to end up probably being 15 or 20 minutes just because there's a lot of stuff to cover. Just like a quick five minute video just won't do it. I didn't want to put a vlog and the tutorial into the same video. What else did I do? I've had to kind of go back and forth between my office and home over the last couple of days just because we've had some different appointments, some errands to run, help with the kids doing this and that. So I haven't been able to like get full steam into work for the last two days. What else? So I'm finishing up a project that I started in December. It's a desktop app. I'm pretty excited to release the designs and a lot of fun to work on, but I haven't been able to show it yet because they wanted to wait until it's ready and then I'm gonna. I'm. I'm hoping to get started on another project or two in the next couple of weeks and I'm really thinking about trying to merge what I'm doing here with the video into those projects and see if I can somehow self document the full design process with the client and just kind of talk about what's going on with the project at different stages just to kind of give a glimpse into that. But anyway, this is just a status update. If you're interested in learning about scalable and reusable components in sketch, check out the video. I'm going to link it up right here. Until then, I will see you on Thursday. Don't forget to smash the thumbs up. Leave a comment below if you have any questions or if you want to see any specific type of tutorials answer any questions.
