This is a YouTube video titled "I made a soundbooth" containing a recorded dialogue between two speakers discussing the construction and features of a homemade sound booth, including materials used and setup details. The video was created on July 12, 2016, and features a casual, instructional style conversation about soundproofing and workspace setup.
So today I thought it would be a good day to make a video of how I made the sound booth.
So the sound booth is right there.
I've been posting a lot of pictures and videos and why not show how I built it?
So this is my desk, and this is what it sounds like at my desk. Lots of brick, lots of glass, lots of sheetrock, lots of concrete.
Come get inside the sound booth. And it's nice and non echoey. Got a little light switch here with some kind of like kitchen cabinet, lights, audio dampening, auto like foam, kind of foamy, sticky stuff. I decided at last minute to use this as like the surface for the desk.
And that's also what is behind these foam panels here.
All of these foam panels are spray glued to this material. And then I've got my microphone stand. These are some like pipe fittings that I found at Home Depot that are kind of like the same dimensions.
You can see my wiring job down there and everything. All the wiring just kind of comes down here and plugs into the wall. So I essentially built my own appliance and plugged it in.
