I Made Kraig Adams Dab in NY

Matt D. Smith documents a New York City trip for a client meeting, hanging out with friends Patrick Johnson and Craig. The video captures casual moments including a studio visit and dinner, with Matt getting Craig to dab on camera.
I think I see them right behind me. Tomorrow I'm flying to New York City for a client meeting. It's not really like a meeting. I to meet with them for two days. It's the first time I've been to their New York office. Plus, it's always fun to go to New York City. And I'm not sure of how much I can share about the client. Sometimes you just have to sign non disclosures. Let's fast forward this. Just fast forward to the good part. I really need to leave in like 10 minutes, but I still haven't finished packing. I don't know why, but I always wait until the very last minute to pack. All right, thanks a lot, man. Have a good day. All right, made it. All right, 27th floor. All right, let's see what we got here so far. 27 1. Wrong way. Here we go. There we go. Oh. All right. There's kind of your sanded room here. Nothing to write home about. But, hey, not too shabby. I don't know what it is, but anytime I come to a city, whether it's New York or San Francisco or anywhere else, I have this, like, slight, like, weird feeling in my stomach. It's like. It's not really, like, homesick, but maybe, like, it kind of is. Maybe because I just celebrated my 12th anniversary with my wife and we dated for four years before we got married. So we've been together for 16 years. We went to college together, we graduated together, we found our first jobs together, we got our first apartment together. We've got four kids together. Anyway, I've just. I feel, like, weird when I come to a place by myself. I don't know how else to describe it. It's just weird. I didn't really have a proper lunch, so I need to go find some lunch. And I was. It was supposed to be thunderstorming, but it actually. It's only a little bit overcast. And I didn't go on a run this morning intentionally because I wanted to go on a run in New York. Oh, man. How can you resist these little snacks? Freaking twigs. Kit Kats. Guest valet. Can be used in any outlet in the world. Any outlet in the world. You're in a new city and you're hungry, you haven't had lunch, and you're expensing everything to your client anyway. How can you resist not digging into that? I normally try to refrain from lots of chocolate and sugar. I don't typically go on my Snickers bars, but when you're starving, there's A Snickers bar right there. That slogan just pops in your mind. Hungry. Why wait? You're right. Snickers. Why should I wait? There is no good reason why I should wait. So I didn't. I didn't film it, but I also just ate this Twix bar. Now to get one of these ridiculously overpriced drinks out of here, gonna have to go with the old San Pellegrino. Cheers. Oh, yeah. That's good stuff. Okay, confession time again. I. I also ate the peanut M&M's a solid, you know, like 700. 750 calories on sugar and chocolate. Time to go. Time to go for a. But I think it's time to go for a little run by the Hudson River. Two miles into my run, I'm at some pier with trees on it. You can kind of see Statue of Liberty back there. I got a hold of Craig. I'm gonna head over to his place. I think we might get ramen. Who knows what else? So let's head that way. I gotta get ready first. All right, it's time for another mini bar update. Okay. I've eaten the. The sunburst trail mix, this Smart water. After my run, I had this ginger ale, so I was thirsty. You know what? It's in here. I started drinking the Heineken. I'm officially ready to go. Got my bag, wallet, phone. I made it to Brooklyn, but I have no idea where to go from here. Craig. Craig. I don't know where you live. Craig. I just sent Craig a picture of that scantily clad woman. Hopefully that will be enough. I don't know where Craig is. I don't know which direction he's gonna come from. I think I see them right behind me. What's going on? Howdy.
Hello.
Nice to meet you.
Good to meet you.
City closed for weeks.
We thought it was finally gone, but they were just closed for, like, a holiday. Welcome to the minimalist, not so minimalist abode of me.
So, yeah, we. We just have a couple things that we're getting brand new.
Nice.
I love the size of it, actually.
Yeah, it's great. It's perfect for everything. And I like being able to put music and videos up there while I'm working. And then the second bedroom here is just shelving and desk stuff, I guess.
Don't think it's funny.
No, it's funny.
Is the sound wall too much? I don't know. Tune in next week.
I like the sound wall. India wants to get rid of it.
No, I don't you were fake news.
She's only been here for a couple days and she's always trying to change everything in my life. What do I do?
Am I in my studio or Craig's studio? You can't tell.
I love promoting these fake false narratives with MBS.
The minimalist 2.0 apartment tour. Sneak peek hasn't even dropped yet.
Nothing in that bedroom is mine. Like, this stuff can fit on a, you know, book bag, and I just have that shelf. But honestly, I could get rid of that stuff. So you're hearing first, folks. This is all India stuff.
Look at that shirt that you have on. Is that a logo there? Wow. That's not very minimal.
She's convincing me to wear something. Stuff that isn't black T shirts. Greg, do I really have to do a D?
I did not ask him to dab.
He made me D do it again.
I will see you on the Internet.
Yep.
Well, that was a fun little visit. Still raining out here. Okay, that was. That was day one of being in New York. Last night, had a lot of fun, came back, fell right asleep. And this morning, it is time to go to my client's office. I doubt I'm going to be filming much, so I'm hesitant to bring this camera. Plus, I'm going to be like. It's like a professional setting, so I don't want to be walking around with my selfie stick. So don't know if I'm going to bring this just yet. All right, so I guess I got my Times Square shot. It's not really a way that you could visit New York and not get the Times Square shot. I mean, my hotel is only like a couple of blocks down from here. It's like seven or eight blocks. So I just decided to walk down here. Even though I've been here before. I don't know if I've ever been here by myself. Like, I just got done with a bunch of client work for the day. I'm going to walk back to the hotel and just hang out. It's kind of melty. I'm really doing a damage on all this mini bar food. It's like you just come in and it's all there. I think I've eaten every chocolate out of there and I've had some trail mix. I think I had another drink. I don't even want to know what. Sometimes you just have to treat yourself to a little bit of a. Like a candy bar or something. Anyway, so current plan for tonight is to meet up with a Twitter friend his name is Patrick Johnson at I think the meatball shop. So also minibar update. I have also eaten the famous Amos cookies. I think it's time to head out. Undo that. Man. The weather is just phenomenal tonight. It's like quarter till nine and it's like a solid 70 something degrees. Wind's kind of blowing. Just feels amazing out here. I was totally walking the wrong way. I've done that several times here. I feel bad because I told Patrick I was only a couple blocks away way, which was true before I walked two blocks in the wrong direction and then that effectively double my time made me four blocks away. So I'm a little bit later, but I think maybe he'll forgive me. Patrick, good to see you. What's up, man?
How you doing?
Thanks for joining. That would have been terrible if you didn't. Only because it is the meatball.
Taking.
My time running in place.
Delicious meatballs approved.
You're gonna edit me?
Yeah. So we're. It's like. It's the most weird thing to do this in public, but I just finished. We just had some good dinner. Patrick. Hey, everyone or whoever watches. Yeah, the Internet. Anything you wanted to say?
Go to the bathroom before you leave. Wherever you are leaving.
Yeah. Drink lots of water, stay hydrated, all that stuff.
Yeah.
Welcome back. Now. Good times. I'm right here. See how it goes.
All right, man.
Later on, dude.
There.
Solid dinner with Patrick. Turns out he was a friend of mine's brother, Aubrey Johnson, a designer that I've known since epocurrence number three or two or something like that. Brother. It's crazy. The world is very small and it just goes to show you that you never know, like who you're going to meet and who you're going to connect with. It's just another reason why you should be nice and be kind, be generous. It's almost midnight. I should probably keep my voice down. Had an awesome time. The meatball shop is a great place if you're ever in New York or wherever else there are meatball shops. Tomorrow is just going to be some client stuff and then headed back to the airport and leaving. There's not going to be much more to go, so I'm going to end it there. Thanks for making it all the way to the end of this video. For some reason you watched it. So if you liked it, hit that thumbs up down there. Drop a comment down there if you want to and be sure to hit that subscribe button if you want to see more videos. Until next time. Peace out.
Ra.
