Minimal Desktop for MacBook Pro

This is a YouTube video titled "Minimal Desktop for MacBook Pro" created in May 2017, featuring a single speaker demonstrating how to customize the MacBook Pro desktop UI to a minimal black theme by adjusting system preferences and using third-party apps for icon management.
I'm going to show you my minimal UI desktop background wallpaper for the MacBook Pro. This will work on imac, it'll work on a MacBook Air, but I've got a MacBook Pro, so that's what I'm going to show you on. So if you look at my screen, you can see that it's completely black. Status bar and background. Now, before I show you how to do that, let me take it back to its original factory settings. Alright. Something like this is probably what yours looks like. Alright, so this is nice and all and you know there's nothing wrong with this, but something in me just loves black on black and just all black. Everything matte black. Just can't get enough of matte black. Even the fact that I'm wearing a gray shirt. Kind of wish I would have wore a black shirt today. If you feel the same way and you want to make your computer look like this, you then watch. All right, so all we're going to do is change two things. First, we're going to. I'm going to hit Spotlight and open up System Preferences. First I'm going to go to General and the first checkbox here says use dark menu bar and dock. That's going to change the dock as well as the menu bar. Secondly, we're going to go back and go to desktop. Solid colors, custom color. And right here on the second RGB sliders on the second tab here, we're going to change our hex code to 171717 and we're going to hit return. Close these out. Boom. Minimal desk. And as a bonus, there's also an app called Bartender that you can use to hide some of these icons. Up here there's another one that I started using recently called Vanilla that is also pretty sweet. So it, it gives you this little slider here, but. But it goes all the way black right here and it kind of like doesn't quite. It's not quite the same color. I almost wish there was a hex code you could change. But anyway, there you have it. Minimal UI desktop for the MacBook Pro.
