Quickest way to resize objects in Sketch

Two designers show the fastest keyboard shortcuts for resizing shapes in Sketch. They demonstrate techniques that cut down on clicks and mouse movements, helping you work through design files quicker.
I want to show you the proest of pro tips that I know of when it comes to resizing shapes in Sketch. Instead of dragging with the scale tool or typing in properties into the Properties panel, I want to show you a quick way that you can keep your hands on the keyboard, resize shapes. Just keep right in the groove of designing without having to reach for things while you're resizing. So let's say we have an iPhone6 layout here. So let's hit R for the rectangle tool and just draw.
A quick rectangle.
Now we can go over here and hit 375 for the width. But what happens if we need to make some quick adjustments? What? What happens if we want to make this 10 pixel margin on each side instead of shifting this over and then grabbing and dragging this over or even taking off 20 pixels.
Whoops, that was only 10.
What we can do is pull this all the way over.
And hold command.
And shift and then nudge this 10 pixels. And that's going to update your width.
10 pixels at a time.
Now you can just hold command and.
Nudge to change the width one pixel at a time.
You can also do this vertically as well.
Change the height.
This is a very quick way to.
Change the size.
Of a rectangle or any piece of UI that you're working with. Alright, that's it. A very, very easy way to change the size of your rectangle without taking your hands off the keyboard. Speed is key. See you next time.
