This is a YouTube video titled "THE SECRET to great design" featuring Rosanna Pansino explaining the concept of an implicit grid in interface design, emphasizing the use of consistent spacing as a foundational design principle. The content is a single-speaker presentation focused on design techniques, created in August 2022.
Implicit grid. It is nothing more than negative space. It refers to the negative space between objects. This is almost like the inner formula for making interface design work. And what I mean by implicit grid is it's like a soft grid. So what I do is I take a number, in my case 4 pixels, and I use that as like the baseline grid measurement for everything in the entire app. I use this implicit grid for every single element on the page, whether it's 120 pixels or 4 pixels or 12. Everything has a relation. It's like the glue that holds everything together. Hey, thanks so much for watching. Make sure you like comment and follow and I'll see you in the next one.
