This is a YouTube video titled "TOO MANY options" containing a monologue by a single speaker discussing the concept of navigation in user experience design, emphasizing how navigation helps users find their way and the potential issues caused by offering too many options. The video was created on August 22, 2022.
If you really think about the word navigate, it means don't get lost and find your way around. So that's exactly what navigation is going to help the user do. It's going to help you organize information that you want to present. And it's really critical to remember point A to point B. We're helping users navigate across that spectrum. And there can be multiple point A's, there can be multiple user scenarios coming from Twitter, coming from an email campaign, coming from a Facebook ad. You know, there's lots of point A's and their mindset and where they're trying trying to go. Sometimes you might not even need a navigation in certain scenarios if you're signing up for something or if you're checking out. A lot of times too many options can create barriers and so the thing that someone is actually trying to do doesn't happen because we have too many options. Hey, thanks so much for watching.
