Megan Killion says generic LinkedIn cold messages almost never get responses, but every time she's sent personalized video messages, she's gotten a phone call back. Video outreach works where text doesn't.
Raise your hand if you've gotten a cold LinkedIn message in the last month. It's not compelling. There's nothing in that message that makes you feel like I have to respond to this person. Video messaging almost can't be done that way. And I can say that using this tactic, I have gotten a call every single time I've done it.
