Megan Killion explains why she uses warm calls instead of cold calling. She says cold calling strangers feels disingenuous at her stage, so she focuses on people who have already expressed interest or connected with her on LinkedIn.
Because of the type of business that I run and the way that people come to me, I warm call a lot. Like, I've made 2 calls today, but they were calls that were asked for. Mm-hmm. You know, like somebody was in my LinkedIn and I was like, okay, what's your number? I'll call you up and we can talk about it. That's very, very different than calling a cold list of people you have no relationships with. When you get to like where I am in my career, I'm mostly reaching out to people I've talked to before. So like, it's disingenuous for me to sit here and be like, hammer the phone!
