In this informal YouTube monologue, the creator reviews the five‑minute prologue trailer for Alien: Covenant. He opens by noting the trailer’s length and his personal excitement, especially because Danny McBride’s presence alone would draw him to the film. He reflects on his limited enthusiasm for the franchise since Alien vs. Predator and the original two Alien movies, which he still regards as the only true Ridley Scott entries. He then discusses the cast revealed in the prologue—James Franco as the ship’s captain (speculating he may die or be replaced), Danny McBride’s comedic role, and Michael Fassbender as the android David. He describes key moments: a conversation about the majesty of space, a woman choking on her dinner (possibly with an alien embryo), David striking her, and Daniels delivering an inspirational speech about exploration. He interprets these scenes as a blend of the classic “space‑truckers” vibe from Alien and the military presence from Aliens, suggesting the film may combine the best elements of the earlier movies. He contrasts this optimism with his disappointment in Prometheus, calling it boring despite its supposed depth. Throughout, he expresses confidence that the upcoming film will be entertaining, urges viewers to watch for McBride’s humor, and ends with a typical call to like, subscribe, and stay tuned.

Hey guys, welcome back to channel. And today I want to talk about the Alien Covenant prologue that they released. It was quite long, about twice the length of your average trailer. It was about 5 minutes long. And, you know, as I, as I was saying, guys, if you, you watch my, my first trailer reaction to the Alien Covenant movie, I was saying that Danny McBride alone, you know, would have me want to go see this movie, you know. And I haven't really, you know, so much been excited about the Alien franchise, you know, since like Alien vs. Predator and and, um, the first Alien and the second Alien. To me, those, those were the only ones that I really thought were, you know, up to par, uh, you know, with a Ridley Scott production. Um, and I believe his, uh, son has a lot to do with directing this one. Um, but, um, yeah, uh, you know, in the prologue we get, uh, getting some, some interesting stuff here. We got, we got James Franco as the, as the Captain, you know, which is kind of weird, you know. I don't really see James, you know, Franco, you know, really, you know, as a, you know, as a Captain figure. I think, you know, uh, Dr. Manhattan— I don't know what, what his name is going to be in this movie, but we know Dr. Manhattan from The Watchmen, um, his character, uh, at some point it looks like in the trailers he's being called Captain. So, uh, Uh, you know, I'm assuming at some point he's gonna become the captain in the, uh, movie from what we can see. And James Franco, he's already really sick, you know. He's— we can see in the prologue he's already very sick. So, um, either he's gonna be not able to, uh, um, you know, exercise his role as captain, or he's probably gonna die. You know, we know most of them are gonna end up dead anyway. You know, and, uh, so we get this interesting scene in the prologue with Danny McBride and, uh, James Franco and Dr. Manhattan. They're talking about the majesty of space, and, uh, Danny McBride is going, well, you know, it kind of spooks me out, you know, all this sea of nothingness. And, you know, so I just started laughing because, uh, I, I know with this movie I'm going to be entertained. Um, you know, again, guys, you know, since ever since Alien vs. Predator, Alien 1 and 2, though, to me those was the real Alien movies. They've been doing this weird stuff with the other, uh, Alien movies, you know, since then. And so I don't know about all those films, but, uh, you know, I think this film at very least is going to be entertaining. Um, And so I'm, you know, I'm looking forward to it. Also in the prologue, we got, you know, I'm like, well, they're gonna have the aliens, you know, bursting out, you know, in the prologue, you know. And, um, actually, uh, you know, we get this, uh, lady, she's choking on her, you know, on her dinner. It seems to be like the last decent meal they're gonna get. Um, I don't, you know, I don't quite, you know, I guess after that they're gonna have to eat like, uh those MREs, those food packs or things like that, wherever they're going, whatever's going on, they're not going to be able to digest, you know, the type of food or have decent quality food that they're, you know, that they're eating now. And so, uh, and so she's choking on whatever, and, you know, but it's the, you know, it looks like she's maybe, uh, you know, has, uh, one of the, uh, embryos in her. And so, uh, David, you know, the android, Michael Fassbender, comes up and he hits her in the back, you know, as we saw in the trailer. And, uh, yeah, basically, uh, you know, it's just, you know, just kind of like this false alarm. And, um, you know, then, uh, Daniels gives this, uh, looks like— I believe it's Daniels gives this, you know, this, uh, inspirational speech about them being explorers and, you know, doing this and that and, you know, going out in space. Um, so, um, yeah guys, that's what we got. I think it's gonna be an interesting movie. Uh, you know, with the Prometheus movie, um, maybe if they would have had a crew like this, um, I think it would have been a whole lot better movie. I was pretty much bored through the Prometheus movie. Um, Um, and, um, you know, uh, people have talked about how deep the Prometheus movie is and things like that. Maybe I missed something, guys. I'm usually pretty good at picking up stuff like that, but, you know, Prometheus movie just kind of, um, you know, was kind of a disappointment to me, you know, as I said in some of my reviews. But at least with this, at the very least, I think I'm going to be entertained. And, uh, I think it's kind of like this— I, I think what I'm seeing in this Alien, you know, looks like, if you really look at this, how, how we're getting in the trailers, it looks like it's combined the best Alien movies, doesn't it? Like, if we got this part where they just seem to be, um, you know, like space truckers, um, you know, working for a company, like what we had in the first Alien, right? And then we get this, um, um a scene where there's a military, you know, force, you know, some type of Colonial Marine or something like that, that's, uh, you know, ready to do battle, just arrived and things like that. So that kind of reminds me of the combination of Alien 1 and Alien 2. You know, in Alien 2 they came in to investigate afterwards, you know. And, uh, so, um, you know, um, I, I think it's definitely going to be worth seeing. I think they're going to get my movie, my money, definitely. But anyway, guys, uh, let me know if you like the prologue Watch out for Danny McBride. He's gonna, you know, keep this show interesting. We can already see he's, you know, gonna be a character. I think he's gonna keep this movie from being boring. And don't forget to like and subscribe, guys. And until next time, take care.
