Andrew Yang - Daily Show Great!/ Bitcoin Lightning Donations

In this commentary video, the host reviews Andrew Yang’s recent appearance on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, praising the interview’s balance of humor and serious policy discussion. The host highlights Yang’s discussion of automation taxation, the Freedom Dividend (a universal basic income), and counters common critiques that UBI would discourage work. The video then shifts to cryptocurrency, explaining how Yang’s campaign, via the Humanity Forward Super PAC, will accept Bitcoin donations through the Lightning Network using OpenNode, marking a first for a U.S. presidential election. The host outlines the technical basics of the Lightning Network and blockchain, argues that blockchain can improve voting security, and positions Yang as the most crypto‑friendly candidate. Finally, the host promotes his own project, BitcoinMYK, a UBI‑styled cryptocurrency that aims to eventually support Yang’s campaign donations.

Hey you, welcome back to the channel. I hope you all are having a great weekend. So I want to talk to you all today about Andrew Yang's appearance on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. And things are looking great for Andrew. Everything's working perfect as far as how I want to see him getting out there, making these appearances, getting familiar with the American people, letting the American people get familiar with him. Uh, also we want to talk a little bit about the Bitcoin Lightning Network and Andrew Yang's campaign now will be accepting Bitcoin through the Lightning Network. So, uh, in our channel we talk a lot about cryptocurrency. That's about a lot of the channels about cryptocurrency and Andrew Yang as of now, and a little bit of entertainment. Thrown in. So for you cryptocurrency crowd, uh, we'll try to leave a link in the description exactly at the point we start talking about Andrew Yang and the Bitcoin Lightning Network. So just letting you know, we will be getting into that in the video, but we're going to first, uh, talk about his appearance on The Daily Show. So, uh, Andrew had appeared on The Daily Show prior to this appearance, right? Uh, and we're, I'm not going to be able to show you the video because, uh, the videos don't seem to be available, um, here on YouTube and I don't want to post it. Uh, but, uh, what we got was we got one of their Asian correspondents who during, uh, Andrew Yang's first appearance, uh, kind of made the whole thing a joke. And some of us got to saw that video and, uh, was like, yeah, here we go again, making the whole, you know, Andrew Yang campaign a joke. However, a lot of things have changed now, right? Andrew Yang is being taken as a very serious and impressive candidate. But not only that, Andrew Yang, uh, uh, how Trevor Noah, even how he dealt with Andrew Yang, uh, I thought that was awesome. I thought, Uh, for it to be a comedy show, um, you know, I, I thought Trevor did just a perfect balance of, uh, let me throw my little punchline jokes in there, but at the same time, these are very, very serious issues, uh, that we need to, you know, be a little bit serious at certain points during the show so the American people can really grasp what's going on here. Then get back to the jokes where, where they're appropriate at certain times. And so Some comedy shows just don't know how to do that. I think Trevor did a great job. And, you know, what came up was about what happened during the debates and questions about what Andrew was gonna do going forward. And I thought those were just the right questions to help the American people understand Andrew Yang's strategy. He explained that in Detroit, Things are going to be a lot more different. It's going to be a lot more geared toward shining a very positive light on the Andrew Yang campaign, which I had predicted would happen. Everything's happening just like I kind of foresaw it, that the media attention from the last debate, people noticed Andrew Yang wasn't given a fair amount of time to speak. Now I think they're going to deal with him quite fairly. Andrew's going to be quite comfortable in his element, and I'm really looking for him to knock it out of the park, uh, during this debate. He also, uh, talked about, um, how great the campaign is advancing, that they're going to be here to the very end. They're not going to be dropping out, just like I predicted. They have gained enough ground to pretty much go all the way through this entire election. Um, Also very interesting. I liked how the information was relayed back and forth. Trevor Noah kind of made this joke about, are you going to tax robots? I thought that was quite appropriate because that sounds a great deal better than taxing people, the American people. We think about it when you go on a job in the United States, at least there's a personal income tax levied against you on your job, right? Uh, so if robots or automation are taking all these jobs, shouldn't they be taxed just like we were taxed? You know, it would be— we would, we would find it ridiculous if somebody went to work and, uh, they just said, well, look, I shouldn't have to pay a personal income tax, uh, for my labor, right? But somehow these robots can come in and this automation could come in and not be taxed in that same way. I think that's unfair. Uh, and, uh, you know, as Trevor brought out and Andrew Yang talked about, that, you know, as much like science fiction as this sounds, this is quite the reality. And we really should start looking at how we pay for the Freedom Dividend in that sense of taxing robots, right? I think that goes over a lot more better to people. Uh, also was brought up again, it, it always kind of goes back to the same ideas of Oh, you give people $1,000 per month and they don't go to work. You know, we've addressed that in many videos. I'm doing these YouTube videos. There are YouTubers who make millions of dollars doing YouTube videos. One of the most successful YouTubers, PewDiePie, out there probably is worth probably tens of millions, if not $100 million now in, in, um, in, in doing YouTube. Uh, And what does PewDiePie do? At every chance, you, you see he's working as hard as he worked from the beginning to make more videos. He's going to work every single day, right? So the idea, notion that people, you know, just don't— I think really what's being said, if we really break it down, this is really what the concern is. The real concern is that the wealthy group of people won't have a service class. But that isn't something that they don't have to worry about as well. And the reason being is because these robotics, androids, automation, artificial intelligence are so sophisticated, and we've went through several videos, that they're going to be able to do these service, uh, level jobs, um, these repetitive jobs, these monotonous jobs, um, a lot of the, uh, food and, uh, food industry jobs, call center worker jobs, of course driverless vehicle jobs, all of these service-level jobs that I think people are concerned won't be getting done. So there won't be this class to serve the wealthy. It's going to be done by people like, uh, are going to be rather the robots, right? These robots are going to be the servants of the future. Um, and so I don't think they need to worry about Uh, you know, is it going to create all this apathy between people? People are going to continue to work. People are going to continue to create. People are going to continue to be productive as they've always done. Uh, and so, uh, you know, again, I, I think they need to do a little bit more research and really study deep into, is that the outcome of what happens if people receive, which is essentially just their basic needs being taken care of, you know, food, shelter, uh, and to then just make the assumption that most of the population will not have any drive or incentive and go into this complete apathy. I think it's a ridiculous notion to— a conclusion to come to. But everything looked great. Andrew charmed the crowd, well received, and Andrew's here to stay. So I thought he did an excellent job. So now we're going to break over to the cryptocurrency part and Andrew Yang's relationship to that, uh, for the people in the crypt who watch the channel mostly for cryptocurrency. Gonna get into that right now. Okay, so we're here and we're gonna talk now about Andrew Yang's campaigns, uh, his, um, uh, um, his— I'm sorry, his donations, uh, uh, which he does accept Bitcoin and the Bitcoin Lightning Network which is a way to deliver, uh, Bitcoin more efficiently, um, something that has been a problem for Bitcoin, uh, by using a system to route, uh, Bitcoin transactions, um, uh, to parties, uh, pretty much instantaneously, uh, and some complexities on how that works exactly, uh, but what we want to help you all to understand is that especially those who watch the channel who are not quite familiar with the blockchain, cryptocurrency, Andrew Yang's connection to that. Gonna talk about that real quick. So blockchain technology is essentially servers that are not centralized, right? They could be servers run from my home or your home. They're not in one place. They're all over the, all over the globe. And because of that, they can't be shut down. Right? If you shut down one, there's several others somewhere else doing that. And this allows for security of information, uh, many applications, whether it be sending and receiving, um, contracts, money, uh, you name it, it covers all this. And the reason it's so important is because it's not controlled by any government. No government can shut them— shut it down, uh, and so what it does is it gives power back to the people, gives freedom back to the people. Now Andrew Yang understands technology a great deal. He recognizes many uses with this technology, and he's one of the only candidates I'm aware of that accepts cryptocurrency as ways to fund his campaign as he's running for president. And this is, this is very important and very advantageous as well to Andrew Yang because a lot of people want to find uses to test out the Bitcoin Lightning Network, and he's yet presenting a way to for the cryptocurrency space to be able to achieve that and, uh, do that. Uh, also very important to understand, another reason this is so very important to, uh, candidates like Andrew Yang is because, uh, we can, we can actually conduct voting, um, over the blockchain. These ledgers are immutable, meaning nobody can— they're like, they're tamper-proof, right? They're censorship resistant, right? So they're immutable. Once it's on there, it's on there and everybody has access to it. And this is very important for voting. If a lot of us were following this election, 2020 election, we're beginning to understand that there are things on the horizon now as far as our elections being tampered with possibly by Russia. Uh, it's making us not a democracy anymore. And the Republicans right now are trying to, uh, basically block any, uh, you know, any, uh, improvements to this, uh, probably because of fear that if they do that, they will lose the election, right? So they want to keep everything as it is, and that's caused men to speculate this is a means to let Russia further interfere during the Mueller report. Uh, Russia is said to be hacking into our systems every day, nonstop. Uh, and so we, we no longer possibly have a democracy due to something like blockchain technology can change all of that. For people in the cryptocurrency space who are thinking and concerned about mass adoption, let me tell you something. This is how you do it. You do it with ideas like people like Andrew Yang. Help him become president. He'll make the cryptocurrency space better. His ideas like the Freedom Dividend and universal basic income, uh, using cryptocurrency and blockchain technology in that way, which is ideas that, um, Andrew Yang has suggested. He's talked about ways to get money out of, uh, politics, things like the Democracy Dollars, that possibly being done over the blockchain, uh, and all these things. Create real use cases for cryptocurrency. Universal basic income, everybody having your money, uh, on the globe, that is what creates mass adoption, that is what creates urgency, and that is what creates demand. So many of us in the cryptocurrency space, many of us working on projects, many of us in development, I don't think we quite understand that or get that yet. And I think we're kind of going down the wrong direction in many ways, and it's causing the technology, whereas it is still going forward, maybe not going forward as fast as it could and in a more efficient way as it could. But people like Andrew Yang, minds like Andrew Yang, uh, ideas like universal basic income and the Freedom Dividend, these type ideas are what is going to get us there. So let's find out a little bit what's going on here. Andrew Yang Super PAC will accept Lightning-powered Bitcoin donations. right? So we've explained what that is. This could be the first time the Lightning Network, a Bitcoin scaling solution, officially impacts the United States presidential election. That's big, guys. We're talking about something that could gain a lot of notoriety here on the scale of a presidential election. Roughly a dozen Bitcoiners who support Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang launched a crypto-friendly Super PAC on Thursday, Humanity Forward Fund. Thanks to the PAC's payment processor OpenNode, the entity will be able to accept payments from Lightning Network. That is so awesome, guys. Uh, think about that. So that means that, uh, there are over about 50 million wallets in Bitcoin right now. So, uh, a lot of the, um, situation with Andrew Yang Uh, as far as donation, making sure he gets his donors in, making sure he has enough money to run his election. This obviously is going to help his campaign a great deal because people who want to try out the Bitcoin Lightning Network, people are starting to adapt the Bitcoin Lightning Network, they will be able to use this now to donate to the Andrew Yang campaign. Uh, and so that is so very awesome. Right, CoinDesk. Um, uh, this article comes from CoinDesk, uh, and, uh, this is gonna work very well not only for cryptocurrency but for the Andrew Yang campaign. Now, if you're in cryptocurrency, you're probably watching this video, you probably watch this channel, uh, and I want to tell you that, uh, I believe in democracy. So I, you know, everybody votes for the candidate that they think is right for them. But let me tell you something, it is pretty much just crystal clear that this presidential candidate represents the best interest of the cryptocurrency space. So if you really believe in the cryptocurrency space, I think it pretty much is put— going moving towards— this is the type of candidate you want to look into. And this is the type of candidate you have to seriously consider, uh, just based on the information, the data, and us being in the cryptocurrency space and wanting it to advance and move forward, right? If that makes sense. But I invite you, if you haven't done so before, or if you got other candidates on your mind, to take a moment, take time, really research Andrew Yang's policies. This is the presidential candidate for the 21st century. Century. And if you don't know that, then you are behind, my friend. Real quick, guys, before I get out of here, Bitcoin MYK project, uh, for those of you all who watch the channel, who are interested in Andrew Gain the Freedom Dividend, don't quite understand this cryptocurrency stuff, this video was a quick crash course into that. But also our project, BitcoinMYK.com, similar to a lot of what you're hearing, is a universal basic income cryptocurrency. And the goal is to— you receive these cryptocurrencies around the globe And, uh, uh, the goal is to get $1,000 per month going out to every registered registrant in these cryptocurrencies, which can be converted to your local, uh, currencies over an exchange. Um, and I invite you all to watch the channel, uh, not just watch our Andrew Yang videos, but watch our other cryptocurrency videos if you'd like to understand this more and get a better grip on this and why this is important to the Andrew Yang campaign. Uh, also want to let you know the BitcoinMYK project is absolutely free. It aims to give you value. We feel the value is in us, not the other way around. So be sure to join that as well. Uh, and, uh, we're hoping in the future we can have a situation with the Andrew Yang campaign where he will accept BitcoinMYK tokens. Now, we are a new cryptocurrency. We're not, we're not as old as Bitcoin. Bitcoin's over a decade old. But we are starting to make great progress, and the plan in the future is to contact Andrew Yang, and if he'll accept Bitcoin MYK, we will set up a means, you know, making sure we're legally compliant with his campaign, etc. But we will— we do plan to set up a way you can donate this cryptocurrency to the Andrew Yang campaign, and you don't even have to pay for it. You get it free just for participating on our website, doing fun things like playing games, watching videos, Uh, and so we think that's going to be real great and work out great for y'all, but we're going to leave a link in the description to that project. And we love for y'all to join, but that's all I want to say in this video. If you like content like this, don't forget to like and subscribe. And until next time, take care.
