Andrew Yang - Freedom Dividend $1000 Per Month/Year

Andrew Yang's Freedom Dividend gives $1,000 monthly to every adult citizen, or $12,000 per year. A family of four would receive $48,000 annually. It's funded through a value-added tax on transactions and closing tax loopholes, not new spending.

He's talking about giving people— now please, please fact-check me on this— is it $1,000 a year or is it $1,000 a month? I'd be very curious to know. Still, it's, it's, it's money. It counts for something. What I would like to see though is that, is that money that's being put back into our pockets.
And keep in mind, this is for everybody. Hey you, welcome back to the channel. And today on the Fourth of July holiday here in the United States, uh, I want to say happy Fourth of July to all of the Americans who watch the channel. Uh, and I thought about what would be one of the best, uh, videos to talk about today, uh, besides the idea of freedom, hence the freedom dividend, right? So this was a clip from a channel on YouTube. I believe it's called The Stone Prophet. I might be incorrect with that. I will leave a full link in the description of the video. And what I wanted to do was I wanted to, um, address the, um, policy of how the $1,000 per month works. Now, of course, you know, everybody who watches the channel, um, are generally Andrew Yang supporters. And I would imagine people come in who are, this might be their first time hearing about Andrew Yang, or people who do videos such as Stone Prop who are just now getting introduced to Andrew Yang, might need a little bit clarity about how his policies works and a variety of things. So this video is for those people. However, I think there will be some information in this video, uh, that, uh, is important to, uh, to consider from some of our other, uh, Andrew Yang, uh, watchers who maybe just haven't considered some things, what you can do with the Freedom Dividend and how it works. So, uh, let me get off of this, uh, video because, uh, right, this is his video of content on YouTube. I just wanted you all to hear that clip about the, you know, about the idea that a lot of people just still don't know the policy. They hear the $1,000 per month, they don't know exactly how it works yet, and that's quite a bit of people. So we're going to talk a little bit about that today. Okay, so the Freedom Dividend, it is $1,000 per month, every month. So Um, I think some of the confusion also comes from the comparison to the Alaska dividend. The Alaska dividend, which is paid out of the Alaskan fund, the state of Alaska, out of oil reserves and the state fund, where there's actually a fund manager who manages this money. And this dividend is given to the Alaskan, every Alaskan resident. Um, now the amount of that fund annually changes per year. Sometimes it's a— it might be in the $1,000 range, it might go up to the $2,000 range, it might go in excess of that, right? And so I think sometimes when people hear this, um, they think, um, comparably to the Alaskan dividend, that the funds will only come maybe once a year, right, be paid out per year. But that's not how the Freedom Dividend works. It is actually $1,000 every single month. At least in the example here with the Stone Profits, that he did think it was every year. In some cases it's worse than that. Some people think it's just a one-time payment. Like a stimulus. So we had quite a few people coming out of the debate thinking that it was just going to be this one-time $1,000 stimulus payment. Uh, so what it does show, I think it shows that there's quite a bit of work in the communication of the Freedom Dividend, how it, um, you know, needs to be spread out to the general masses. Now the Andrew Yang campaign does a great, uh, job of underlining hundreds of policies on the, uh, Andrew Yang official website. So, uh, there's no shortage of information there, but it does still, um, uh, you know, give focus to the idea of how people are receptive to this information, you know, how they're receiving the information. And, um, there does seem to be, uh, a type of, uh, how the information is getting to them. It seems to be fracturing and breaking up into pieces where they can't fully encompass and grab it. So it might be hard for a lot of people to get on board because they may just not realize how significant the Freedom Dividend is and how significant $1,000 per month is. Uh, you know, interesting enough, if we just look at really what the Freedom Dividend would mean to many Americans that I think just gets left out of conversation a lot is if you're a new couple starting off, uh, on your way, right? Maybe you just got out of college and you may not even have a job or something like that. Uh, and if that's the case, you probably shouldn't be a couple. But anyway, uh, let's just say for instance, a couple starting off, that means they start off with $24,000 per year, right? And that's even if they're not working. A lot of kids come home from college. A lot of families, due to economic hardships, stay at home still. A lot of families stay together still. So you might still have, you know, on average families, 4 to 5 people in a household still. I know several families like that where kids just graduating college have went back home. They stay home. Some of them work jobs while they're living at home after they've graduated college. Uh, and just if you imagine, if you got a household of 4 or 5 people, that's $60,000 per year. You imagine what you can do with $60,000 per year. That means that you could afford a very nice, uh, home, you know, with, with, uh, with your family, whether you're buying it or leasing it or whatever the case may be. Um, and then if there's people working in that household, which I'm sure it will, would, you know, would be right? You know, the, this idea that people wouldn't work, we've addressed that many times, but that would allow for a great amount of freedom and room to, uh, be able to not be crushed by unexpected emergencies and debt and a variety of things. Um, you know, in retrospect, this solves many of the issues with college debt already. It solves many problems with, uh, uh, economic challenges and emergencies that families and people are going to face. Um, and, uh, you know, like what we got from the Stone Prophet, uh, I'll leave a full link in the video where he talks about, um, you know, different things. And I invite you all to watch that and check out his channel, subscribe if you like it. Uh, but yeah, I think he's, uh, very key into how this information gets received by people. Uh, and I think it's important that we, uh, really pay attention to that and really, uh, the campaign really focus on how people are receiving this information. Um, because, uh, I am noticing quite a few people who just don't have the, the, the true idea of the Freedom Dividend. And because of it, I think they kind of walk away from it in some ways, or don't get the full grasp of it. So then they, they become inactive with this movement to get Andrew Yang elected into the, into the White House. So that's why it's so important that the way this information comes over to people, that they grasp it and, uh, what can be done to make it so that they really get it. So I'm doing my part here. Um, in the video, Stone Prophet talks about, uh, clarification. So I decided to do video because I've seen this as quite a problem, uh, with people not quite getting it. But it is $12,000 per year, uh, and, uh, right, it's, it's for every adult over 18, right? If I believe you graduate, uh, school, high school, you do have to graduate school to get it, to get it at 18. Otherwise, I don't think you get in until 21. But I'll try to leave a link to the, the actual policy in the description as well. Um, but this would allow— so this will overlap so many other issues out there, from, uh, um, you know, children, uh, paying for, uh, child care, a variety of things like that. That's $12,000 to go towards child care and health care, uh, and, and, and if you, um, you know, have a, uh, you're married, that's $24,000 a So that's quite a significant amount of money to handle a lot of the other issues that come up. I'll just go into Stone Prophet. He also talked about his concerns about the tremendous amount of spending that would have to take place. And I have other videos that talk about that. I think he kind of was, which is natural, that people will more so look at this as something that causes inflation, right? Um, but no, the money is coming from entities and groups of people who have been, uh, clever enough to avoid paying taxes they should be paying anyway. So through VAT tax, value-added tax, uh, right at the transaction and sale of goods, which much of what you get like with online purchases with Amazon, um, the taxes will be collected there. That way they can't use tax loopholes to get out of this. So there will be no additional spending. There will only be, for the first time in history, people paying taxes and not being able to rob the American people through tax shelters and loopholes and government legislation and lobbying to avoid paying taxes, right? So that's how the, where the money will come from. And then there will, there will be a, a, um, a, uh, a byproduct, if you will, of that, of that new money into the economy, creating more jobs, creating, uh, less incarceration rates, creating better mental health rates and better medical, uh, um, uh, results overall. So where medical costs, insurance costs go down. So, uh, it will have this, this overall effect that actually puts money back into the economy, right? Which can actually, uh, make you, uh, the Freedom Dividend, uh, even a more cheaper option and a more affordable option than many other policies we have on the table that won't do that from other candidates, right? So I hope that I've answered not only Stone Prophet's questions about it, but I, I hope it's actually answered questions from new people that are going to come in and might be watching this video and might be learning about Andrew Yang for the first time, don't quite understand this $1,000 thing, right? This Freedom Dividend thing. They heard him mention $1,000 and there was seemingly a disconnect after that, right? And that's natural in the process of laying information, uh, that, uh, that's why it's marketing firms. And that's why, uh, corporations spend so much money on research on how to effectively get messages out. Now, um, it's, it's just something that, uh, a lot of money gets spent on. And for reason why is it doesn't have anything to do with the shortcomings of the Andrew Yang campaign. I would expect much of this to be natural, but, uh, it just does make a difference that a lot of research goes into how information gets relayed out to the general public, right? Uh, even when a person does a television commercial, spends millions of dollars on television commercials, uh, there, there is a lot of, uh, money and research that goes into how to do these effective commercials to communicate messages to the viewers, right? And so, uh, that's all very important, uh, on, uh, going forward with this and, and this impact, the great impact of the Freedom Dividend that it can have on Americans provided that they get the information thoroughly. Uh, and I think this is something that will happen over time. Um, I, I actually want to show you all this video with Andrew Yang, uh, talking about, uh, that's been going around the internet where he talks about his plans going forward into the future about how this was all planned and that they do plan more aggressive tactics, uh, how to deal with candidates in the future. And at this point, uh, I'm trusting the Andrew Yang campaign because it's got, it's got this far, uh, with, with the people that work there on the campaign, and the steps they've taken have got them to this point. Um, whereas maybe before, many people didn't think it would get this far. So that makes me trust the, the route they're taking. And I'm sure that, uh, as we go forward, uh, in the next upcoming months up to September and the early the early debates in 2020, that we will see the Andrew Yang campaign advance a great deal and their strategies work very well. But that's all I want to say in this video. Also, a quick reminder, the page we're looking at, BitcoinMYK, it's like universal basic income using cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, which can be exchanged for cash in your local currencies. This is also very good for people who support the Freedom Dividend in the United States, but perhaps live outside of the United States. This, you will still be eligible to get universal basic income through this program that we've put together, the Bitcoin MYK project. And so we thank you all for your support. Of course, this is also for American people, uh, so be sure and join, sign up. We'll leave a link in the description. But that's all I want to say in this video.
