Andrew Yang - The 4th Industrial Revolution

The video combines an archival excerpt from mid‑20th‑century futurist Gerard Piel, who warns that past industrial revolutions inflicted massive human suffering and argues that future industrialization—especially in developing nations—must be managed with science‑driven economic aid. The host then connects Piel’s warning to contemporary concerns about the Fourth Industrial Revolution, automation, and job displacement. He highlights Andrew Yang’s Freedom Dividend (a universal basic income) as a policy response, critiques media and opinion control that downplays the issue, and mentions mental‑health impacts of automation. The host also promotes a blockchain‑based UBI pilot (BitcoinMYK.com) as a grassroots experiment, and briefly touches on futurist predictions about space travel and consciousness transfer. Overall, the video frames the looming automation crisis as a humanitarian emergency requiring scientifically informed aid and systemic policy reforms.

I would name is a problem with which two-thirds of mankind goes to bed every night, and that's the problem: when do we eat? The feeding of mankind, the feeding of the poor, the clothing of them, the housing of them, means the industrial revolution of the underdeveloped countries of the world. So how is that revolution going to be managed humanely? The industrial revolutions that have occurred so far in history have been pretty cruel operations. We deplore the Russian story, we look with horror on the Chinese story, but we ought to examine our own histories and our own memories of what it took to conduct the American Industrial Revolution. The 35 million human beings that arrived in steerage passage and percolated through the slums of our cities, The Chinese that are buried under the ties of the railroads, as Archibald MacLeish has said. The reconstruction of the human cost of our industrial revolution would appall us if we did it honestly. The answer to this problem is economic aid, and economic aid highly informed by science and technology.
Welcome back to the channel. I hope you all are having a great day. So it's Sunday. Um, I really didn't have my mind on making an Andrew Yang video today, but as I was perusing, uh, just watching some videos here on YouTube, I came across this video here entitled The Futurists in the Year 1967, where some of the greatest scientific minds of that time predict what the 21st century is going to be about. What it's going to be like. So I, I came upon it by accident. I'm going to leave the full link to the video in the description. I think you guys are going to really enjoy this if you haven't seen it before. Very interesting. So interesting, it just made me go, why didn't they make a video, uh, about this? Because this is interesting. As I'm listening to these scientists, he is one of several very famous scientists, people from Isaac Asimov, um, Asimov to, um, you know, many Nobel Prize winners in science. Um, I come across this gentleman, I believe his name is Gerard Piel or Peel, um, and, uh, he starts talking about, uh, not just what the 21st century is going to be like, but what's going to be some of our major problems. And as you can see here, he goes into The Industrial Revolution. Uh, now we know the Andrew Yang campaign speaks about the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and now we're beginning to hear people like, uh, Joe Biden mention the Fourth Industrial Revolution. People like Pete Buttigieg now speak a great deal about automation creating the fourth revolution. And this scientist was able to basically give his prediction on, on just the seriousness of what our industrial revolutions have been like, uh, and why there will be such a big problem in the future, and that we're going to need economic aid, we're going to need something to deal with that, right? So I just found it so very interesting. You know, um, we in earlier videos have spoke about, uh, the history of Labor Day, like just how grueling these, uh, events have been, these industrial revolutions. People have died, they always die. He's talking about, um, you know, how the Chinese were, uh, how many were buried trying to, uh, uh, deal with the railroads in the industrialization, but also just the strikes, the worker strikes with weapons and calling in the National Guard, where people were killed. Um, these aren't just simple trends. These— this had— this hasn't been, uh, very simple transitions like many people make it out to seem. You know, they almost make it seem like, oh, we just got through it, and, uh, oh yeah, you know, it's going to correct itself, uh, as we industrialize, as the future comes in. We're gonna be able to adapt. We're gonna do something else. So you'll get another job. You'll be a computer programmer, you know, but we've covered all these things. Each one of these things, these industrial revolutions have been bad and they seem to go from bad to worse, right? These are issues that should be at the forefront of our issues today and our policies today. In my opinion, it should be as high, uh, as nuclear proliferation. It should be as high as, uh, climate change. Uh, it should be as high as the economy because it's such— so, so much integrated into the economy. But yet you don't hear anything about it up until recently. You know, it's up until really recently people have really started to speak about this. And this has been going on, as you can see, this has been concern of people for uh, you know, over a century now. Um, and, uh, we're— it's still a kind of a back burner policy, isn't it? You know, of course Andrew Yang is the cause, right? He is the cause. He doesn't get credit for it. He, he gets pushed under the bus. He doesn't get credit for it. The media companies don't give him credit for it, but he is the real cause as to why we're even talking about this now. Now this scientist, he talks about economic, um, solutions to deal with this through scientific, scientific industrial, uh, industrial revolution, right? Using science and technology to solve this. And of course, Andrew Yang talks of various ways about, uh, how to, how to do this. You know, he's even entertained ideas like using a blockchain in some capacity. but probably won't have to because we do have an efficient system still for delivering payments. But of course we're talking about the Freedom Dividend now to create this situation to help deal with, as this scientist talked about, mankind not being able to eat, that being a major issue of mankind because they're not going to be any jobs available for him to feed himself, right? He's competing now against this technology. Um, very serious, uh, uh, uh, things to, to consider. Um, we push it under the bus. I, you know, people are still, uh, uh, very, uh, anti-universal basic income to many degrees. Uh, I don't think they recognize the seriousness of the issue, uh, despite how much data piles up on them. You know, there's some, so some people, you know, what's kind of interesting about the video too is they about. They make some great predictions, and some people are spot on. Some people are uncanny, just very scarily spot on. Some people are completely off, but, uh, there are some people who are just spot on, you know. And, um, uh, you know, you guys are gonna enjoy the video, um, you know, just watch it and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. Um, but this is where we're at with this, guys, you know. And, uh, oh, that was the point I was going for. And so this, um, the scientist, uh, gets, gets right, uh, opinion control. He's calling it opinion control. Today we call it, uh, uh, the, the, the media, right, influencing people's minds, right? Um, and much of that has to do with our entire thought process on everything, right? And, and the concern— the concerns we have and, and, um, where the major issues, how we consider them, right? A lot of it comes from what we see from media groups bombarding us with stuff week after week, right? So whatever their agenda is to put out there, many of us are consuming this over and over again. It does something to the brain, uh, where you decide to— where your brain starts to kind of shift to, okay, this is the major issue. Uh, it's a type of control. Um, you know, it's in some cases it's even, uh, CIA, CIA tactics that have been used in a mix of this media way to influence our minds, right? They talk about using drugs to control people. I found that quite interesting how they talked about the drugs to deal with people and the levels of anxiety and depression that Andrew Yang speaks about quite a great deal, um, as being leading problems in our society today and very, um, uh, cutting down on our, on our standard of living, our life, life expectancy. Um, you know, and, um, you know, just how we have to really think about these things. Careful what we consume, uh, media-wise, and always question if it's, if it's true, even if it sounds uh, good to you, uh, even if it's something you think should be true, take a moment to just question it, right? Because a lot of people have been like that with the Freedom Dividend. People have— a lot of people automatically shift to some type of communism or socialism, and they don't think about, uh, that there have been many champions of these ideas like, um, a universal basic income who weren't, uh, socialists or communists or anything like that, that they have been very core conservative ideas throughout the history of America. And so we need to take a moment and really get educated about these things. But the Fourth Industrial Revolution, uh, as the scientists predicted decades ago, 1967. Um, it's going to be one of our major issues in the world today, right? Um, and, uh, we have to impart that to American people, that they understand automation has caused so much issues. It's, it's more problematic than the scapegoating of immigration. It's more, it's more problematic than, oh, what the job economy is going to be, because the job economy is not going to be able to stand itself against artificial intelligence and robotics. You just cannot compete with them. You can forget about that. Um, and, uh, right, yeah, that's just what I want to share with you all, guys. Um, uh, tell me all what you think about this. Maybe you'll get a chance to watch the, the full video, The Futurist, and it's just some fun predictions they make. And some people get things very, very Correctly. Uh, it was this kind of a weird idea going around. Well, what I thought was weird that I actually found out wasn't weird a few weeks ago, uh, where this one guy is on there, he's speaking about, well, with something like space travel, we're going to be sending people to other galaxies or using space travel, but you're not going to be sending the actual people there. You're going to be, um, beaming them there their consciousness there and kind of like these radio waves and things like that. So I said, this sounds— at first my mind switched to, this sounds crazy. And then I recall several weeks ago reading this article about how they were saying interstellar travel is just going to be too, uh, crazy and extreme. And what they're going to do is just send these kind of— going back to the, uh, robotics, advanced robotics, robotics revolutions— send these robots out into space who can handle the, uh, the radiation, who can handle the isolation, and then beam the consciousness of human beings through radio waves to inhabit these robotic bodies. And I thought that's the craziest thing I ever heard, but I remember reading an article from a scientific paper that was suggesting that this will actually be a, uh, a serious way they think about space travel, just sending these robots there to these places like we do with our rovers and a variety of robots. So you guys are probably going to like it if you're into stuff like this. But, uh, that's all I want to say in the video. Also, real quick, don't forget to join our project BitcoinMYK.com. Speaking of the future, speaking of the technology of the future, we're using blockchain technology to send universal basic income across the globe, right? We're doing our own little thing here. Now, it's important to note that, uh, projects like this, although it's a passion of mine, I like doing things things like this, that we need government UBI, we need government the Freedom Dividend in America. The type of dollars this costs, uh, I don't see us anytime in the near future creating enough money through this project to, uh, uh, to, to, to do anything on the scale like we need the government to do. Um, so it's nothing like the, uh, the, the Freedom Dividend Andrew Yang's proposing. However, it is a project that we think can help a lot of people, help a lot of people in America, help a lot of people across the world to help get them over the hump with certain, um, uh, problems they're gonna face, uh, over the coming, uh, uh, several, uh, months or years or what have you. So go ahead, join today. You guys are gonna like it. We'll leave a link in the description. That's all I got to say in this video. If you like content like this, don't forget to like and subscribe.
