Andrew Yang - Trump Supporters Leaving In Droves#YangGang

In this commentary, the speaker observes a growing trend of former Donald Trump supporters—some of whom are aligned with white‑nationalist figures like Richard Spencer—expressing interest in Andrew Yang as a presidential candidate. The speaker recounts seeing Trump supporters on online threads praising Yang, and highlights a recent interview where Spencer, the founder of the alt‑right, openly endorses Yang, citing the appeal of Yang’s universal basic income (UBI) proposal. The speaker presents poverty statistics showing that over 17 million white families live below the poverty line, surpassing other demographic groups, and argues that this economic hardship makes UBI attractive across racial lines. The speaker defends Yang’s economic competence, noting his Ivy‑League education, business experience, and understanding of monetary policy, countering critics who claim he lacks expertise. The narrative speculates that as Trump’s traditional base erodes—particularly among older white voters—more of that constituency may shift toward Yang, potentially reshaping the 2020 election dynamics. The speaker invites audience discussion and encourages likes and subscriptions.

Hey you, welcome back to the channel. And today I want to talk Andrew Yang and how the Trump base, the Trump supporters, are— many of them are starting to now see Andrew Yang as their selection for President of the United States. And so this is quite interesting and very surprising that we are starting at, you know, I first witnessed it myself and some of my, my own threads where Trump supporters would just come out and they would say that they really liked Andrew Yang and were interested in supporting him. Uh, and I didn't think much about it at first. I thought, well, maybe this is just something that is an isolated situation. Some people upset about Trump maybe not fulfilling some of the promises, uh, that originally they hoped he would. Uh, but then as I, uh, kind of stumbled upon a recent interview with Richard Spencer, um, I began to think, well, you know what, this is, this might be a little bit more serious than I thought. So let's talk about who Richard Spencer is. Probably some of you know of him, uh, he is an American white supremacist. He is president of the National Policy Institute, a white supremacist think tank, as well as the Washington Summit Publishers. Spencer rejects the label of white supremacist and considers himself a white nationalist, white identitarian, and the equivalent of a Zionist for white people. Spencer created the term alt-right. So yes, he's the founder of the alt-right, which he considers a movement about white identity. Spencer advocates white European unity and a peaceful ethnic cleansing of non-whites from America and the creation of a new political order he believes would resemble the Roman Empire. So in this recent interview I was watching with Richard Spencer, uh, I was surprised to find out he greatly supported Andrew Yang. Excuse me. So I tried to get a little bit to the bottom of why he would present Andrew Yang. And obviously I don't think every Trump supporter is a part of Richard Spencer's group. I'm sure it's many Trump supporters who have nothing to do with Richard Spencer's movement, who just see Andrew Yang as a good candidate for for them that, uh, you know, helps them and, um, you know, uh, serves, you know, serves their, uh, serves their needs as a president. But in it, there, there has existed that we're well aware of this narrative that a lot of the support that Donald Trump received came from that area, uh, of the political, political sphere and that was white nationalists, racists, uh, and a variety of people, you know, in that, in that area. And this, in this interview where people like Richard Spencer, uh, gives over a lot of support to Andrew Yang, it just makes you think about what this election is going to look like, uh, between Andrew Yang and Donald Trump, because I do believe Andrew Yang is going to be chosen to be, to represent the, as a Democratic elect candidate to run for president. And I do believe he's going to face off with Donald Trump. But it's just going to be very interesting to see that so much of Trump's base is moving over to Andrew Yang, you know, whether it be failed campaign promises they believe. In the interview, I'll leave a link to it. You get a, a big picture of, uh, why, uh, Richard Spencer is making the move over to Andrew Yang and what they think it is exactly Andrew Yang can do for them. Um, but, uh, looking at some statistics, you know, it's kind of, uh, interesting to think about, uh, there are a lot of people in America who go, well, this universal basic income, uh, idea, this platform is a bad idea. It's gonna hurt American people. You're gonna have all these lazy people who don't work and they're taken from the system and a variety of things like that. But in kind of contrasting that with Richard Spencer's idea of white supremacy and him wanting to just bring up the white population to make them better, And he's talking about the $1,000 per month, that it can help all of them. As when you— when I really look at the statistics in America, the real stats, it's saying something like white families, there are about over 17 million white families that live below the poverty line. Um, and that, that overshadows every other group. Uh, more than half, I think African Americans rank in about 9 million after that. And whereas, um, you know, it's— that's all based on ratios. It's still 17 million people. It's still a lot of people in poverty, right? It's still a great deal of people. And those people, uh, they aren't gonna really resonate with the ideas of you know, of, uh, that, uh, you know, they feel like they're being treated great in America and that there's so much opportunity, you know, evidently not. They're, they're not going to feel that way. So they're going to be moving more towards messages like Richard Spencer, uh, message about what Andrew Yang can do for them and a variety of things. And, uh, you know, it just shows the, the amount of weight in a very short period of time that Andrew Yang's campaign is gaining because I think this is gonna become like a domino effect as someone like Andrew Yang, his message is received fairly well by all Americans, right? It doesn't really, it doesn't matter your racial identity, it doesn't matter your background or anything like that. There are people from all, um, economic backgrounds that support universal basic income. There are rich people that support universal basic income. There are, you know, middle-class people. And so, uh, there's people who don't need it that support it, right? Um, and, um, you know, I mean, they might see it as a way to stimulate the economy. There's many economic theories we can go down the line and we can We can argue about what that will do to the economy and we'll probably come up short, right? Because first of all, somebody like Andrew Yang is very smart. He's went to Ivy League schools. He understands the economy. He knows how money works. He's run successful businesses. And I think one of the, One thing that gets missed a lot, especially from people who comment about Andrew Yang, who doesn't know what he's talking about. Well, of course that would be a ridiculous notion for you to, people to make a statement about Andrew Yang not understanding the economy and not knowing what he's talking about. Right. Uh, and especially that coming from people who don't even have a background in economics, you know, so it's pretty crazy. But, uh, what it does show is that we can write economic theories and papers all day about how universal basic income will hurt the system or how it will help the system. But looking at that many Americans and this, uh, variety of people starting to come into Andrew Yang's camp and saying, you make sense to us, we support you, is, uh, something I think that, uh, people really need to take deeper into consideration, figure out what's going on with Andrew Yang and Why is that happening? And I think people like Donald Trump, uh, you know, he is getting real hard now for him to find his base. Now I think during the Richard Spencer's interview, um, you know, he did mention some things like, well, a lot of Trump supporters were older white Americans. And he went on to say something like many of which who've died since he was elected. I don't know the stats on that. I don't know if that's true or not, but what it does seem clear to what Richard Spencer is saying is that Trump is losing a lot of that support he had. And I'm noticing it around me that these people are jumping over quick, real quick. And now people like Richard Spencer and others are starting to promote, highly promote people like Andrew Yang and all the Pepe Le Frog memes and all that stuff. Jumping around all over the internet now. So this is going to be a very interesting election, guys. And, uh, a lot of people, a lot of people now are going to be supporting Andrew Yang, and it's going to be interesting to watch. I love to hear you all's thoughts about this.
