Mykos uses a digital piano teaching app to learn Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, testing whether the app's mistake-highlighting and finger-placement guidance can teach the piece. He plans to transfer what he learns to a real piano to see if the method actually works.

Hey guys, welcome back to the channel. I hope you're having a great day. Um, so this isn't my main channel. Um, I have another channel, uh, put the link in the channel description, uh, where I do various things, uh, mostly concerning cryptocurrency at this point. I created, I founded a social media site that combines a future economic model for social media. And so that's all very interesting stuff. You're invited to check that stuff out, kind of futurist stuff. I've always been into the arts and futuristic things. But this is a, I guess you can call it like a It's not really a tutorial. Well, it's kind of a tutorial for me, but it probably won't be so much for you unless you can recognize piano keys. Moonlight Sonata by Mozart is one of the pieces that I always want to learn how to play. And so I start checking out these, these little online piano, what do you call them, tutorials. And, um, trying to learn from that. Uh, so what I'm going to do, I'm going to try to learn from the tutorials how to play Moonlight Sonata. I'm probably going to make a lot of mistakes, right? Um, and, uh, I want to— once I get it down pat here, I want to take it to the real piano just to see how, um, how good these tutorials work. Now, this particular app, it shows you when you're making a mistake and it helps you with the keys and the tutorial and such. But it's still pretty difficult. You still kind of got to know how to read music and so on, but it helps somewhat. And so we're going to give it a try and see how we do. I think it's called My Piano App. I'll try to leave a link in the description if I don't remember to put anything in the description. You can just in the comment section ask me what the app is and I'll leave the link for it there. All right, so. All right, so let's try it out. Let's see what we got here. Let's see how good I am with this thing. Can I play Mozart, the musical prodigy, greatest musician of all time? Let's find out. And again, guys, this is going to show when I make mistakes, going to show like if I miss the key, if I— so on, so you can follow along.
Oh, so I do make mistakes. Oh. Oh.
Well, as you can see, I'm not perfect. We're gonna see how my lessons here translate to the real piano from here. I'm hoping that it should do okay, seeing that all the keys are— or the notes are in the same place, and I do know how to read music a little bit. All right, so Hope you guys enjoy my rendition of Moonlight Sonata. Until next time, take care of yourselves and each other.
