BitTube's buffering has improved dramatically, but uploads still struggle. A new workaround streams content through YouTube, though it costs 30% in earnings to API fees. The platform offers no censorship and pays viewers directly, unlike mainstream alternatives.
Hey you, welcome back to the channel. And guys, today we want to talk about BitTube's performance. And as of late, many of us have started to notice that BitTube's performance has gotten a lot better over the last week. The buffering issues have greatly reduced. I have been able to watch videos for long durations of time and without the buffering. And I was like, wow, this is great, this is awesome, because You know, many of us forget that when YouTube first started off, that it was, you know, basically a— it had a lot of systemic issues. It buffered a lot, and we were so accustomed to it that I, you know, I don't think we even really noticed it as, as much as we do today with the improvements of technology. This seems to be a common issue over many decentralized video hosting platforms. And so it was, it was, it was great to see BitTube seemingly starting to work this problem out. They've been working hard to get that resolved, and, and so that's awesome, guys. You know, of course some people are still having problems uploading videos. I, for one, I'm having some issues uploading videos, and hopefully that's gonna be resolved as well in the future. They are working to get these things things fixed. It was brought to my attention that they do have a feature where if a person chooses to watch on YouTube, they can still watch through YouTube. And I'll leave a link in the description. It's— you'll be on BitTube, but the video will actually play from YouTube. And what happens with that is you will lose 30% of your earnings due to the fact that BitTube has to pay API fees in doing that. But it is an option until BitTube gets at an optimal level. If you're just having significant issues where you can't watch it at all, I guess it's better to be able to watch it or participate in some way than not be able to participate at all. So that is available. I will have a link in the description where you can place where it shows where YouTube videos will play through BitTube. So they won't— you won't have any buffering or load problems as it will play through YouTube. And that's just one option available at this point, this point in, in time. I'm not exactly 100% sure, guys, how to locate the videos as I do have the browser extension. I've been having some trouble. As I understand it, there's supposed to be a YouTube icon that shows up. But I haven't been able to find that as of yet. But I do know that the browser extension, when you click on it, it will take you over to BitTube and it'll show a selection of videos from YouTube. I'm not exactly sure if they play on BitTube or they play through YouTube, but I will leave a sample link in the description that someone was able to give to me and show that my content, although a lot of it hadn't uploaded on BitTube yet, that it was available still through— you could watch it through YouTube and still be compensated for it on BitTube. So if you guys are having some trouble watching the content, that may be an option for you. Obviously it's going to be a lot better to watch it on BitTube as you're going to receive full compensation for that, for watching it on BitTube. So that's what we want. That's what we're headed for. BitTube's working the problem out and just great to see that it's it's coming together. I'm from the generation where we watched the buffering YouTube videos, so I had got accustomed to it. But, you know, BitTube, or rather YouTube now, which is the state of mind many people are in when it comes to quality of video services, you know, they are heavily resourced back, right? Remember, these are the biggest corporations in the entire world that's backing this. So with good reason, it should be at a high level. But we also have to look at the pros of BitTube. You're not gonna have the censorship issues. You're gonna be compensated for watching these videos with your own time.
