Bitcoin MYK - Curators We Want You!

In this video, the presenter introduces the Bitcoin MYK (MYK) Curation Project on the Steem blockchain, emphasizing the critical role of human curation over automated bots for surfacing valuable content. He explains the project's philosophy that social media interaction remains the core value of Steem, and that human curators can drive higher-quality engagement. The video outlines multiple utility cases for the MYK token, including its deflationary nature, simulated mining rigs, advertising purchases, a Fiverr‑like task marketplace, and a dedicated social blogging platform. The speaker highlights the project's progress—nearly 1,000 active Steem accounts have been curated, representing a significant share of daily active users—and invites viewers to become curators, providing links for contact and further information. The overall message is that the MYK token and its curation network aim to solve several blockchain challenges while rewarding participants.

Welcome back to the channel, and today I want to talk to you all about the Bitcoin MYK Curation Project. So many of us who use the Steem blockchain understand the importance of having our posts or articles curated, visited, upvoted by the community, and being able to get to these posts has been quite problematic there has always been this, uh, push to try to, uh, find great content on the Steem blockchain, reward those posts. That is one of the main bases of, um, of how we use the Steem blockchain. Now it's important to note and understand, as many of us well do, that on the Steem blockchain you can build a wide variety of applications or decentralized applications. So you can do a vast amount of things with this blockchain. But the reality of the situation is that most of the activity takes place, uh, in the curation of posts. Many of the transactions that are noted on the Steem blockchain have to do with the curation of these posts and moving value over these posts. And so with the BitcoinNYK project, we thought it would be ever so important to, uh, basically use our token to help deal with this problem. Um, it also gives, um, another use case to our token, being able to transmit that value, transfer that value over the blockchain to many of these valuable polls. Similar to what they do with the Steam cryptocurrency now. So if the Steam cryptocurrency is already doing it, why is it important that we engage in this? Well, this is about a lot to do with what's happening with the, the type of hive communities that we're breaking into, the SMTs, these Steam Engine Tokens. And this is that many of us are basically going out to try to find what are some of the more efficient ways and better ways to find value in our community. And we all have an assortment, an assortment of ideas about this, right? But the idea we've come up with is because our philosophy about the Steem blockchain is that the social media aspect of it remains the bigger part of the Steem blockchain even up to this point. And because of that, a lot of our focuses and attention is on the social media part. But in understanding social media and the human interaction of social media, hence the term social, right, that you're socially interacting with one another. In this highly advanced technological world we live in, the blockchain in its approach to social media, we find that human interaction is still very important. And whereas a lot of our curation process has been conducted by bots, and this has been the subject of a lot of controversy, bid bots. Some have splintered from the chain, creating their own, um, barring, uh, banning bots, right? And, uh, so what we've come up with is that we still want that human interaction. I think it keeps us kind of unique, gives our token more uses, and we have a large amount of uses. And, and this is one of our curators, Bear, who's done a Fantastic job, can't thank him enough. And he just wrote this very great article. We'll leave a link in the description about how to become one of our curators and why you might want to be one. You know, I think in really understanding social media on the blockchain, you know, I think it really is going to come down to how we interact with one another. And we're not going to be able to really do that with bots and a lot of automation that goes on on the chain now. Obviously, this is a highly technical place and bots are a way of life for us. However, when the social media aspect enters into how we engage, I think it's going to always be quite important that we have that human interaction. And we can see from our results that when there is an actual live person curating these posts, the response is a great deal different. So in the article, Beer goes on to explain just other uses of the token, what makes it more valuable. It talks about the deflationary quality of it, right? Uh, you can now purchase simulated miners with it that we're going to discuss in some upcoming videos. Uh, that is really cool, uh, where you can mine the BitcoinNYK tokens. Uh, you can purchase the rigs on our site. Um, you can also purchase advertising space on our site, and you'll soon be able to purchase goods and services and the like. Uh, we have a task workers program, something reminiscent of Fiverr. So you're able to take the tokens and basically get people to, to do skills, uh, a task for you, a variety of things. We also have our own social media site you can post your blog articles on and you earn our tokens that way. So just many, many use cases. We tried to make this token something that solved many blockchain problems, and, uh, we're sure, we're sure many of you are going to appreciate some of the things we've been able to do with this, um, with this token. But, uh, if you understand the importance of curation on the Steem blockchain and this is something you're interested in, we have a great curation project that you can join. Uh, just contact us. We'll leave a link in the description for this article. Just contact us, let us know you're interested. We'll, we'll go through all the things you need to know, and if you're interested in it, we'll get you started. Uh, and so we're looking right now because we want obviously a lot of curators. We want to spread value across the network, and we want to reward people who do really good posts, right? Um, and so, um, yeah, give us a contact if you're interested. You can earn some good tokens as well with this, and we believe this is going to be a big token. Um, just over the last few weeks, we've curated pushing nearly 1,000 active Steam accounts, and that is a phenomenon when you think about that. It's probably only about 3,000 active Steam accounts daily on most of the biggest applications on Steam. And I'm hearing something like maybe about 10,000 active daily users on SteamIt.com. So that would mean we've all already just about curated 1/10 of all of the posts, right? All of the active users. And so very interesting. We're going to keep pushing forward. We'd love for you all to join. Soon we'll be publishing our curation report, uh, as soon as we break 1,000 accounts, which we're right at the door of, of curating. Um, and just a great job for the curators who have been working. Want to thank them. Uh, if you haven't been curated by our project yet, you probably will very soon. We're getting around, and a lot of people are liking the project and what can be done with our tokens. Uh, but that's all I want to say in this video. I'll leave a link in the description Uh, if you like to join us, uh, be sure and do that. Gonna have a lot of fun with our curation team. Um, and, uh, until next time, take care.
