Btcmyk Update - Your Social Media/Affiliate Programs - UBI

In this update video, the presenter outlines the current state and strategic direction of BitcoinMYK (Btcmyk), a platform that merges social media with a universal basic income (UBI) model. He frames the project as a contingency against AI‑driven economic disruption, arguing that a decentralized, token‑based social network can provide a safety net if large‑scale automation threatens jobs. The video reports recent site redesigns, community growth (≈20 k wallets, ~7.8 k active members, ~22 k registered accounts), and details the affiliate/referral program that rewards roughly 100 Btcmyk tokens per successful referral, noting the token’s past price above $1. The speaker contrasts Btcmyk’s transparent, user‑controlled architecture—transparent wallets, group creation, self‑hosted front‑ends—with mainstream platforms that are centralized, censorable, and monetize user content without compensation. He references historical labor struggles, current UBI discussions by figures like Sam Altman and Elon Musk, and warns of potential censorship and loss of digital identity on traditional networks. The call to action encourages viewers to join Btcmyk, complete profiles, and consider the platform as a future‑proof, decentralized alternative to existing social media.

Welcome back to the channel. Welcome back. It's gonna be a quick video this evening. We haven't did an update on BitcoinMYK in a while, so I thought we would come in, tell you guys what's been going on. So we're just gonna visit a little bit what's going on with, um, the project. What's going on on the site. Is there anything new happening and so on. So, um, few changes to the site. Um, if you don't know what BitcoinMYK is all about, imagine social media combined with universal basic income, right? Uh, similar vibe to what you're getting with RoyalCoin. Uh, we know these robots are going to be a problem. We know AI is going to be a problem in the future. and it could possibly endanger people's way of life, their jobs, just everything, just how you fit into society and so on, right? And so the responsible thing to do would seem to be some type of preparedness. And that's even on the front if you believe nothing's going to happen. Like some people believe that jobs are going to be preserved and there's going to be new jobs and they're somehow going to be retrained to do these jobs because this was happening every industrial revolution. And so they could be right. They could be right. But the only thing we do know is we've never had human-level intelligence humanoids, right? We've never had anything as sophisticated as these language learning models we have today, like ChatGPT, which have launched several dozen others that I've visited and are comparably good. And so the responsible thing then seems to be to take this serious, to have a contingency plan in case you're wrong. What do you do then? Do you just throw your hands up? So, uh, BitcoinMYK is combining those aspects, right? It's gonna— it's allowing people to share in this dividend of building these large social media networks, right? And, um, you know, that way in case there is a potential catastrophic danger in the AI world, then we have a chance of survival, right? And so the community's growing. You know, recall that, you know, like we first started years ago, wasn't a lot of people using the site. A lot of people didn't care. A lot of people, you know, wasn't talking about universal basic income. Now all the major mega Tech players are talking about it, you know, all the time, whether Sam Altman, Elon Musk, um, you know, uh, in many nations around the world, it's the agenda, one of the number one agendas on the legislation, right, of what should come out, what bill should be passed, and should it be a thing, right? Uh, and so, uh, yeah, so it's taken a lot more serious, right? You know, before it was like the boy who cried wolf. Now you can sit down and have a serious conversation with people about it if the people are serious, right? You know, if they're not, then, you know, you know, we can face catastrophic problems. And mind you, even during these industrial revolutions they speak about a lot, and when they say, oh, you know, we always created new jobs. Yeah, but do you understand? I think tomorrow's Labor Day, right? Yeah, tomorrow's going to be Labor Day. And this is fitting. That we discuss Labor Day with this topic. And that is, did you know that people died during these industrial revolutions? That you had not only economic hardships for people, from people losing their jobs over these industrial revolutions, but you have the National Guard coming in, killing people, killing workers, and so on. And this is how we got improvements to the labor force. This is how we got 40-hour work weeks. Before then, they were sunup to sundown, right? Make 60, 80-hour work weeks. And now, as you recall, they're talking about doing a 35-hour or less, a 32-hour work week where you only work like 4 days. They're trying to take a day off the work week, right? To add on to those improvements. So when people talk about, oh, it's just fearmongering, oh, nothing's going to happen, so I'm not going to do anything about it. They don't seemingly, or they simply forget the history, or they never knew the history. So those are some things to think about. But as you can see, everything's pretty much, you know, pretty much the same. It's just a little changes in the layout, I guess you could say. The ad networks up. Now one thing we did somewhat improve on because we had to was the effects. Affiliate network, right? I think that's pretty much what I wanted to talk about today, the affiliate network, right? So as you can see, I got one— I don't usually use my link. I got one, I refer one person. Isn't that something? We have going close to about 20,000 wallets now. And, uh, um, 7,800 looks like active members on the site is recording. And, um, you know, a lot more than that, but on the site it's probably more like 20— I think it's 22,000 registered accounts. But this, it's only showing like the people who are, you know, regularly signing in and so on, right? But it's more registered accounts. But anyway, I got one referral out of all of that, and that's because I just used my referral link to test out how the affiliate program was working, right? So you get a link, right? You get a link and you're gonna get basically, uh, you know, this referral. Link, dashboard, and so on. And how, how is quoting— is quoted in US dollars, but it's typically going to be equivalent to about 100 BitcoinMYK tokens, right? And what's interesting about that, if you understand how that works, right, If you're getting 100 BitcoinMYK tokens per referral, well, BitcoinMYK has been over a dollar, right? It's crossed the over a dollar threshold. Some people believe it's going back. Uh, you know, we don't have any— we don't— we're not in the markets like that. Uh, and so we just trying to focus on the development of the platform. But if you look at the history of it, if it does it again, then those BitcoinNYK tokens will be exchangeable on these exchanges that quote these higher prices for it. And so in the event that happens, then you're, you know, you're getting a pretty good referral bonus per person you refer. You know, of course, referrals is important to any project, you know, that you're, that you're part of. Most of the major networks, platforms had a referral program. You know, Amazon had a referral program, Google, Apple, you know, referral programs, right? And so all of the, uh, Netflix, so all of the major, major people who are now like these trillion-dollar companies remembered the importance of an affiliate program is what they had. Right. And so, yeah, so pretty basic updates. You know, at the end of the day, BitcoinMYK, I will put us in the same market as Worldcoin. I want to do a video on Sam Altman's, his latest thoughts about universal basic income. We need to talk about that because I don't want to go too far in that in this video. I want to save it for that video, right? And so, yeah, just, you know, a few more interesting things, trying to get people to complete their profiles, you know, basic things like that, showing that, you know, it's pretty transparent network like many cryptocurrency platforms just showing, uh, you know, what's happening in people's wallets. You know, it's all pretty transparent stuff, how people, you know, activities are, are they making friends and so on and so forth, you know, and those type of things, right? Um, let's see, let me go to activity here, see what some of the members are up to, right? We have groups and, um, various things. And so it's kind of interesting because you can start groups, you start your own group, um, kind of like host from your own server, right? But then you can, you also can have your own front ends, right? You know, where you're doing all your stuff from. So pretty cool, uh, it's pretty interesting, uh, you know, where we've come from and where we're at now. Will we be able to compete with the likes of Twitter and, and, you know, Facebook and so on? I would hope so. I would hope so. I would hope that we're getting at a point now where it's time that we are compensated for our social media. I think it's time where we're, you know, we get to control our content. Sharing the value, the network. I just feel that these mainstream social media companies are so outdated, right? You know, they're using that very old pre-21st century model, right? And I just don't think it— I just don't think it works very well. Going into the 21st, being in the 21st century, you know, as to say, um, you know, it's time we own our social media and stuff like that. Uh, how they're convincing people to still use mainstream social media sites, uh, I have no idea. That I, I feel like that should have been obvious that we stopped that years ago. We have— it's been attempts to But I don't know if it's that people are lazy, they just don't feel like moving, or they don't think it's important enough. But here are a few things you need to consider, right? Uh, let's give you a few doomsday scenarios, right? You don't think social media is important enough to pay attention to if you need to be locked into the mainstream social media sites. Well, Let's throw out a few wild scenarios, right? When, um, the last decades or so when there were wars in the, uh, in the Middle East, right? And there was a great deal of conflict. They were calling it things like Arab Spring and things like that. Do some of you recall that the information that was getting out of these countries wasn't accurate? It was suppressed. And that they were using social media like Facebook and they were reporting actually what was happening on the ground because of course the news stories that were coming out of the regions were either suppressed by the government or they were being stopped from getting out, people getting out. So they had to upload to Facebook, right? In the mainstream social media. So now let's think about that for a moment, right? Mainstream social media companies are a great deal in connection with governments, right? So a lot of times they're working hand in hand, they're connected, they're working with government officials and so on, right? So what that means then is oftentimes that's going to mean that this centralized social media, uh, also you don't know who owns these companies, right? It could be the government owns a lot of these social networks, right, that are out there, or book chunks of them to where they can influence and control them. So the point I'm making is that, uh, what you're thinking not is important, things like censorship and all of that, it could end up that you get banned from social media and you have no public identity. You have no social media identity. You can't talk to anybody who you want to. You've been banned off many social network sites, and that's actually what's happened to people. right? And sometimes without explanation, sometimes without them necessarily doing anything that was wrong, right? Because remember, these companies don't have to prove you did anything wrong. They just have to prove you're bad for the network, right? Uh, they have a pretty solid terms of service, right, where they can get you up out of there. So you could be risking your public identity on social media. Right? You could be risking getting life-saving news out of nations because you're dependent on mainstream social media. Uh, you're already risking your privacy, you're risking your data, and then you're not being paid. So the time and energy that you're putting into social media, you're not earning anything, right? They don't have any payment systems. They don't have any payment mechanisms, right? Nothing like, oh, you know, what our platform has. So those are things you should think about. I think it's things that in a mature way people should start to take serious that they don't, uh, you know, most people listening to the video after they hear the video, if you're not already part of BitcoinMYK Network, uh, a lot of people gonna go back to mainstream social media, uh, and I'm not dragging social media, uh, mainstream social media. I'm just telling you the reality of what the situation mechanically is, right? And that is social media companies are private networks. They can do what they wish to do, right? With your content, with your data, and they can kick you out. Uh, you can ban you without a democratic process or anything like this more decentralized social media networks. Happening in communities, governance models, and democratic processes that are happening online with platforms and projects like Bitcoin and YK and some others, right? But they're not what's being visited by the mainstream. And I think that could prove to be dangerous in the future. Now, the good silver lining about all of this is that I do think people are going to turn to such networks in the future. And that's going to be very interesting to see. But that's all I think I want to say in this update video. Guys, if you like content like this, don't forget to like, subscribe. If you're not already on BitcoinNYK.com, censorship-free social media, considering those very important topics I just discussed, what are you doing? Should be on there already. If you're a content influencer, if you're a person who posts, you do all those things, You know, you could lose your account. What happens? You've posted all of your videos and information and writings and articles, and you know, it's gone. You know, all of your business and so on. So you gotta think about all those things. But as always, take care of yourselves and each other.
