Cornel West - Run For President(UBI Supporter)

In this YouTube commentary, the host welcomes viewers and expresses enthusiasm for Professor Cornel West’s presidential candidacy under the People’s Party, highlighting the scarcity of intellectuals in politics. The host draws a parallel to Andrew Yang’s earlier campaign, emphasizing that leading thinkers have historically supported universal basic income (UBI). The video references an interview with West on the Semaphore program, where West reaffirms his long‑standing support for UBI. The host addresses common criticisms that UBI discourages work, arguing that work ethic is unrelated to basic income and that such narratives are “failed.” Historical proponents of UBI—from Thomas Paine to Milton Friedman—are mentioned to bolster the idea’s credibility. The host promotes their own cryptocurrency/social platform, BitcoinNYK/BitcoinMYK, positioning it as the premier UBI‑focused crypto project and an accessible way for viewers to engage with the movement. The commentary also critiques the two‑party system, urging viewers to consider third‑party options and to act as “decent individuals” by supporting policies that aid the working class. The video concludes with a call to subscribe, explore the crypto platform, and follow West’s campaign, framing West as a “man for the people” whose policies could improve society.

Welcome back to the channel. I hope you all are having a great day. So today I'm excited to talk about Cornel West, Professor Cornel West, Dr. Cornel West running for the President of the United States, right? I just don't understand why we don't have enough intellectuals and decent folk running for president, right? Uh, but The last time I covered a presidential election and the last time I was excited about a candidate was some years ago with Andrew Yang. And I knew he was before his time. It is amazing to me. Well, it's not really amazing. It's actually very— makes a lot of sense to me that the greatest people, the greatest minds in history would support universal basic income. And so, um, it, it doesn't surprise me that Cornel West is in support of it, right? As he's being interviewed here by the— who's it called? The— let me give them credit here— the Americana. Let's see here. It's called Semaphore, right? Is that right? Yes, Semaphore. Uh, he's doing an interview here with Cornel West representing, I believe it's the People's Party. All right, and we'll talk a little bit about that. But here, the interviewer here, Americana— let me get back down here— he's basically saying that, uh, Cornel West has supported a universal basic income for a while. The Biden administration did some direct payments when it took office and the child tax credit, but that dissipated after inflation started rising. So how do you implement your idea and deal with the risk of inflation? So here we go back again, and this is a prediction I made early, and I will be covering the Cornel West, uh, campaign all through, right? Like I did with Andrew Yang. I'm always going to support these guys. Many of you all who maybe this is your first time coming on the channel, uh, I created what I believe to be the greatest cryptocurrency, uh, that, uh, basically subject matter is universal basic income. In independent polls, we test to be the best of the universal basic income projects in cryptocurrency, right? And we're growing every day. I think we'll probably become the one of the biggest, uh, ways to combat, uh, the world against poverty, against, um, inequalities, uh, to help the economy through economic stimulus as such. All those great things. And I don't— I could do a rundown of the greatest people in history who've championed universal basic income, from Thomas Paine to Dr. Martin Luther King, uh, to Milton Friedman, etc. Nobel prize winner of economics. And so it just seems that this is not only championed by the greatest people in history, but it is the greatest idea in history. That the project I run, BitcoinNYK, is the greatest cryptocurrency in history, right? But Cornel West has always been an advocate for justice, right? Justice. He's always looked out for or interest has been the common people. And it would seem that the world politically have always worked against its own best interests, right? Um, you know, the thing about supporting universal basic income— I was actually listening to a video from a, a person I know who does, uh, other content. And then they did a video about universal basic income today I got to watch. And, uh, one of their concerns in the video was that, uh, something like universal basic income, we, you know, we need people working as such. And, um, you know, people are getting universal basic— I, I guess they were kind of denoting that it would stop people from working to a degree. And we've debunked ideas like that for years on our channel. Uh, that the relation between that, uh, it has been a failed narrative to a great degree, uh, that work, your relation to work is not related to universal basic income, that it doesn't make people lazy, that people are lazy probably would just be, would be lazy either way with universal basic income or not, right? So the quality of work doesn't improve by forcing people to work, right? Anymore than the quality of the military improved by conscription or forcing people to fight, right? So that's why the United States government threw it out, right? You don't want that anyway because not only do you have worse services, but you know, you would have people destroying millions of dollars of equipment, etc. And so I can go on and on about that, but this video is not really about that so much. But to, to, to help people understand that this is a, this is a policy that is for the people, is for you out there, and it's a good policy. And the people who champion a lot of times are good people, right? They aren't necessarily people seeking some type of, uh, control over society, you know. That's— I believe there are people out there who are strictly out there to demonize, uh, good policies. And, and the motivating factor of those could be related to greed, right? Uh, control. They— in other words, some of the, the things that they're trying to, uh, basically prescribe to the people who are for basic income ideas, I believe they are the ones who are those things, right? And so, um, basically what I want to do is get into Cornel West's additional policies as the— as his campaign goes on. This is more so like an announcement, and that we're certainly going to support him because he's a universal basic income advocate, right? And, uh, well, definitely wholeheartedly going to do that. I've always liked his policies. Just a man for the people. A lot of people are in disagreement with his connection to the People's Party, but I will just say this about that, and we'll get into it as we follow his campaign. But what I will say about the, um, the people who, you know, are against many of these third-party groups, right, you have to start somewhere. So sometimes it's not a decision of the lesser of two evils. Sometimes you just have to deny the evil altogether. And when the people start to do that together collectively, uh, that's when— and it's going to take education, it's going to take coverage, it's going to take thinking out of the box for some of them— but when they start to do that, we're going to find we don't have to subscribe to two-part— a two-party system in the United States, right? Uh, Cornel West is a great man, right? And you listen to him one time, it's going to be enough to convince many people of that. But we got to start off being decent people ourselves. If we want a decent world, we have to be the decent individuals. And to do that, we have to support decent policies, right? You know, I mean, some people like Donald Trump, and I'm, you know, And you know, I'm not going to say anything negative about Donald Trump or the people who support him, but I will say this. You see, you seemingly flock to what you are as a person, right? And what I'm saying is you have to make a decision at some point of the kind of person you want to be, right? So if you want to be that person with a better world for yourself and your family and your children, you, you have to be the one who decides to make the better decisions and what you follow and what policies you follow, right? So what I'm saying, even if you take a concept like universal basic income, right, if you're not supporting universal basic income initiatives, right, then you can't expect to have a world based on universal basic income ideologies. And if you're not doing that, then in retrospect you're saying you don't want that, right? So you can't say you want it and you support it, but you don't do anything about it, right? Or you don't believe anything could be done about it. Because again, we're talking about our, our society here, our families here, our children here. The harm that's done to the working class, etc., to the average citizen, right, who needs support in various ways. And I want to be clear, you know, also clear up that universal basic income is capitalism, right? It's just capitalism that doesn't start at zero. So it balances out the failures in capitalism, right? And so that's very important because people get the wrong idea. They think it's actually everybody making the same money. They confuse it with socialism and many other things. But as we follow Dr. Cornel West's campaign, uh, we're going to get a chance to talk a little bit more about exactly how universal basic income works. Uh, if you don't know what to do about as far as supporting ideas like universal basic income, I first, uh, invite you to one of the easiest approaches, and that's taking a look at BitcoinMYK and our social network system, right? Which is absolutely free. You can get involved with it today. All you got to do is register, and you don't have to provide— you can provide a dummy email, whatever. It's just so you can create your passcodes and such, right? But I would invite you to start there, uh, um, something that is a lot more— is not as intrusive as, uh, you know, what might, uh, some deem to be on a political, uh, playing field or arena, right? Um, and some people just might not be political, but these are very human-like ideas, right? And, and so I invite you all to follow the channel, subscribe to the channel, Take a look at what we're doing. Look into Dr. Cornel West's policies and ideas. Listen to some of the speeches he does and tell me if you don't think he'll be the best president we could ever have, right? I guess that's all I want to say in this video, guys. Till next time, as always, take care of yourselves and each other.
