Electroneum - 168 Hours!

Electroneum's value comes from phone minutes, not the token itself. This week brought partnerships with Thai operator One Development and South African exchange Artisturba, plus a Blockfolio listing. Active mobile miners dropped to 85,000 as the ecosystem pushes toward a December 27 KYC deadline.

Hey you, welcome back to the channel. And guys, today wanted to give a dramatic title, 168 Hours. So whenever something dramatic happens, sometimes it can be, uh, calculated in the time that led up to it happening, or the time that passed since it's happened, or there's something like 13 days or 24 hours. So for Electroneum, it's been 168 hours which is what the week of Electroneum has been like, and it's been a great week. So of course, many of us have already heard about the great week Electroneum has had, everything that's been happening. And so I want to talk about the idea of, or the ideas, or some of the things that impressed me the most about Electroneum. And speaking of Electroneum as a transactional money, and the value that Electroneum is going to have for many of us in the future. So many coins are considered or have the capability to be this transactional money, right? Uh, pretty much every token out there can be that. There's nothing unique about that. And the problem with that is it takes away the value from other tokens if they all can be used as this efficient transactional money. Some more efficient than others, obviously. But what's so impressive about Electroneum, and maybe it's come about hopefully through my maturity in the cryptocurrency space, uh, not saying I'm all that sophisticated and mature because, uh, you know, as I understand it, the people who say they understand cryptocurrency the most are sometimes the people that are the most wrong. But, uh, my maturity has come about in not worrying about the price of tokens so much. I used to be obsessed with price, and now I've really started to fully understand the network reach of these projects, the partnerships. And this is what sets Electroneum apart. Of all the announcements that have come out this week, the most impressive are always the partnerships. I'm explaining why that is. You know, obviously, uh, Electroneum has kind of found this niche that other transactional currencies simply don't have. They are connected with mobile miners. And as we got to learn this week, a mobile virtual— I'm sorry, operator rather, not miner, operator— uh, the, the mobile virtual operator One Development that operates out of Thailand a huge entity there, deals with this concept of mobile virtual operation, which basically translates to something like they don't actually own the network, but what they do is they hold in a wholesale way, purchase all this data from these huge networks, and then they dispense it to the, the other entities that exist and they also help to facilitate and set up their, their companies and their businesses. So, uh, they're big in Thailand handling this, and they have found now a partnership with Electroneum because where Electroneum excels at, what it gets right, is it's found a way— when we speak of transactional money— to use phone minutes to be represented by electronium. Remember that money is the means, not the end. So we confuse that a lot, meaning that we're not interested in money, we're interested in what money, the prosperity benefits that money can give us. Just being able to move a concept like a, a variable that represents money from one place to another across a computer screen doesn't mean anything. What's valuable to people are the phone minutes. Think about it, right? I have the ability to— for my voice to be heard and communicated with you, communication being so important, millions of miles away. That's a commodity and a value to people. right? Not just the ability to do it, but within them, within itself it is. So Electroneum is able to facilitate this, and through the partnerships, which act like kind of like growing a network through vendors and various things, by them, uh, able to constantly make these partnerships, they're able to expand that network and expand that value ever-reaching. And that's very important to understand. I think that gets overlooked a lot because we just tend to think of it like, oh, it's just this cool way I can move some money and get some money through my mobile device. The mobile device again is the means, not the end, right? It's user-friendly. It's there to interface to make it possible to transmit the value of those phone minutes, right? Now, of course, through mass adoption, what we can see is it just being this viable money that's valuable to everyone, but as it gains value in this network effect, uh, with these, uh, partnerships— and the partnership is the key word, uh, and it's the key approach, uh, is what's really, uh, the— just such the brilliant idea behind what Electroneum has done. They have found their market to operate in, and that's very important. Um, and so, uh, the other announcements that came about this week, uh, which a lot of people like, some people are not so much. Um, I would say the other announcements for me were the less impressive but still important. My focus is on the partnerships. Uh, we got the announcement of Indacoin, and Indacoin is this, uh, way that credit cards can be used to buy a lent term. And that's great. There's nothing wrong with that. That's awesome as well. That helps along the way. We've had other systems that allow for fiat peers to be transmitted. Credit cards, obviously, you can move money faster. But some people are upset with the fees. They say the fees are just too high. And so that's why I was a little bit less impressed with some of the other announcements. And then being added, there was another exchange, Artisturba in South Africa. And of course, being added to exchanges is always, is not a bad thing. It's always going to be a good thing, right? It's not going to be a bad thing. And then being added to Blockfolio, which deals with, you know, alerts and being able to monitor price. And of course, Everything that goes into building up the brand of Electroneum, the value, is a good thing. But I think we should pay careful attention to these partnerships. I think that's where it is, guys. And so every time I hear a partnership, uh, I get excited. I say they have figured out how to do this and they need to just keep doing this. They are building up value. Stay within the mobile minutes sector, understand that those minutes and the value that are in people being able to use those minutes or get a few extra minutes or some kind of partnership that allows them for it to benefit their minute plans better. This is excellent. This sets Electroneum apart from everybody saying we're transactional money, right? Again, everybody is a transactional money, right? Again, the means, not the end. And the variable or the digit on the screen from another place to another. Um, KYC compliance ends on December 27th, as we got to learn. A lot of people feel once that's done, we can go full force with even more partnerships. That's important, uh, and that's a good thing. That gets the ball turning and moving. Uh, also, I, I noticed the miner count has dropped. I'm looking at my mobile miners, only 85,000. People mining. Now I'm not sure if this is just a— I'm not sure how to look at this. Uh, we've seen it close to $200,000 at times. It's dropped already $85,000. Here's, here's the— I'm sorry, or miners. But here's the thing that a little bit confusing about me, confusing to me about the, the mobile mining. Obviously this is a people in developing countries and third world countries are doing a great disservice to themselves because, uh, the amount of money you earn with Electroneum per month, guys, this is not a small amount of money. A lot of people might think it is, uh, maybe depending on where you're living, but I can make an argument that even in the West, an extra $3 a month comes up to about $36 a year. I could— that could be a fairly decent amount of money. Think about it this way, um, I have some service plans from insurance and just various things dealing with bills that probably run $4 or $5 per month. With my mobile mining earnings, that pretty much can take care of that, right? That's in the West. Now think about developing nations, right, where, uh, you know Uh, there are some countries, $7 per month will handle their entire grocery bill, right? That's crazy. That would mean that Electroneum supply would be able to supply about half that. So to see 85,000 active miners, I'm not sure, guys, is if this is due to a lack of marketing. It's weird because so many people know about Electroneum, but it just boggles the mind that people don't know about this. And, um, uh, they should. And I'm— I can't see where it doesn't benefit them. It benefits me, and I live in the West. So I'm not sure what that is. Maybe you guys can help me out with why there are only 85,000 people mining Electroneum and not more. But after starting my own project, um, there, there— I do— I am starting to see, even though there are people joining our program BitcoinNYK every day to participate in what I feel is going to be some great benefit programs. There are still people very slow to adoption, so I assume that Electroneum may be experiencing a similar problem. We just are slow to adoption sometimes, so maybe that's it. Guys, also a quick reminder that we are— we have set up an Electroneum faucet on our site. I'll leave a link in the description, and we will be posting and running a little contest with it Whoever gets them, who was able to collect the most Electroneum from our faucet, we're going to award one winner an extra 100 Electroneum at the end of the period the contest runs, which will be like 30 days. And what I'll do is I will make a video and let everybody be aware of that and reminded of that. But guys, that's all I want to say. It's been a great 168 hours. For Electroneum. And I can only see Electroneum as we go into 2019 just doing many more great things and getting to the level we know it can get to. So guys, this Electroneum video, just in case you don't hear another Electroneum video from me until after the holidays or after at least Christmas, I just want you all to know I wish you all a happy holiday for those of you all who celebrate it. Many of us, even myself included, have kind of stepped back a little bit from a lot of the buying of gifts over the holidays. I've been, and it's been weird, I've been contacting, I've been in touch with a lot of people I know that have just kind of toned it down a bit. I'm not sure why that is exactly. With me, I wasn't, I was never really a super big consumer over the holidays, but I have participated. But anyway, if you are celebrating, and I hope you have a, a happy holiday. And until the next check-in, electronic video I have with you all, guys, take care of yourself and your loved ones. Until next time, take care.
